    Discovering unconditional love | Daniel

    Discovering unconditional love | Daniel

Daniel grew up conforming to the ideas of what it meant to be a man through the critical words and judgments of the women in his life.

He was not going to be like his Dad or his Uncles. He was going to be a good guy and a nice guy. Little did he know that he was only masking and hiding who he truly was.

It wasn't until his 3rd marriage and counseling, that he finally realized his behaviors and beliefs were all under his self-deception, justification, and rationalization. Instead of helping others, he saw he was really hurting those he cared for and ultimately himself.

His paradigm shift allowed him to start living from the inside out with inner-peace and calm. Before it was all about him and his need for love. This story is about his experience discovering unconditional love.

Living with a Whole Heart Part 2 | Brené Brown | Oprah Super Soul

Living with a Whole Heart Part 2 | Brené Brown | Oprah Super Soul

Doesn't heartache feel unfair and like unwanted suffering? When we are rejected, we can feel disoriented. It's hard to know we're loved, that we belong and we are valued. This is the danger of a rough breakup! No matter what you go through, it is never true that you aren't worthy of love. This is when we suffer. We had our partner and we belonged together. When we are no more, there is suffering. How do you shift out of this suffering? Is the answer to be vulnerable? Even when you've put your armor of protection up? Listen to Brene and Oprah share about this idea. I hope you feel inspired and encouraged. Thank you for listening.

    The "80/20" Heart | Josh

    The "80/20" Heart | Josh

Falling in love for the first time or even the 20th time is both exhilarating and disorienting.

After he found out his girlfriend was cheating on her he decided it wasn't safe to fall in love again. It's best to hold back part of my heart and my love so I don't feel that pain again.

What are the consequences we pay for putting our hearts in a cast and never taking it off? What price do we pay when we vow: "I'll never love or let someone love me like that again"? These are the questions we explore in today's episode.

She began to cool | Eirik

She began to cool | Eirik

She cheated but the relationship was fractured before her one night stand. Was it the difference in their religious beliefs, or lifestyle interests or general compatibility? It's most likely a combination of all the above. Listen as Eirik and I explore marriage, divorce, love, religion and relationships!

The lies our culture tells us and a better way to live | David Brooks Tedx

The lies our culture tells us and a better way to live | David Brooks Tedx

"We all go through bad seasons". David starts his talk with these universal words.

Whether we get what we want or lose what we thought we wanted, we can experience a sense of feeling delusional. I believe David does a great job addressing some of the moments where we have to reconcile the picture we had in our minds to what's actually happening in reality.

I hope you are encouraged by this talk if you find yourself in a winter season.
