Leveraging Influencer Marketing in B2B with Cristy Garcia CMO of Impact.com

Today’s guest has been recognized by Business Insider, Hello Partner, and Appealie as one of the most influential and innovative marketing executives in the industry. She has 18+ years of experience in global B2B marketing, with a focus on SaaS, performance marketing, category creation, and creativity. Cristy Garcia is the CMO of Impact.com which was recently awarded G2’s Best Software Awards 2022 as one of the top 50 marketing products. Cristy joins Host Chris Mechanic to delve into the impact of influencer marketing, how to leverage partnerships in B2B marketing, and the benefits of affiliate marketing.

    Takeaways:

    • There are influencers who are already speaking to the prospects you need to reach. Rather than trying to reach them on your own, partner with the influencer that your prospects already know, like, and trust in order to reach this audience.

    • Before seeking out new influencers with whom you have no prior relationships, look at your current customers and see if any of them have large followings made up of the right people. They can be some of the most effective influencers because they have actual experiences with your product or service which they can speak on.

    • Once you have found the right influencers to reach your target audience, it’s best to let them develop the way they talk about the brand, rather than providing them with a strict talk track. Tell them your objectives and let them speak to their audience the way they know how to.

    • Used properly, partnerships can be extremely effective for increasing brand awareness, driving sales, and building trust through third-party validation. HubSpot's collaboration with B2B influencers is a great example of a successful partnership.

    • Invest in your team and treat them well. This is crucial for both getting great output from your team and retaining top talent.

    • One way to help your team avoid burnout is to encourage them to take one mental health day off a month.

    Quote of the Show:

    • “My other big secret to success is to treat your team right and they'll treat you right” - Cristy Garcia

MOD Pizza & Seattle Coffee Company: Scott and Ally Svenson

MOD Pizza & Seattle Coffee Company: Scott and Ally Svenson

A relentless hunt for their favorite foods and drinks led Scott and Ally Svenson into launching not one but two multi-million dollar businesses. The first came about in 1990s London when they discovered that British coffee meant instant coffee. So, the Washington natives decided to start the Seattle Coffee Company in the U.K, inspired by their love of Starbucks—which was still only in the U.S. But, once Starbucks started to go global, Scott and Ally decided to sell and move back to Seattle. They soon found themselves looking for quick, affordable, crowd-pleasers to feed their growing boys on busy nights; pizza is a good solution, but it can also be slow and expensive. So Scott and Ally wondered if they could figure out how to make individual, fast-casual pizza work; and they started MOD pizza as a one-store experiment. 15 years and more than 500 locations later, Scott and Ally have their answer: they can make it work.

PHILIPPIANS (21): The Power and Blessing of Partnership (4:15-23).

PHILIPPIANS (21): The Power and Blessing of Partnership (4:15-23).
In our final study in Philippians, the apostle Paul commends the Philippians for consistently partnering with him in the Gospel, through their prayers and giving. They are held forth for us as a classic example for how we should support those who are devoting their lives to preach Gospel and spread God's Word. Paul tells them that their partnership with him involved both giving and receiving (v15), which meant they would receive a great reward for their faithful giving, both eternal fruit that would abound to their account as treasures in Heaven (v17), and the promise that God would supply all their need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus in this life (v19).

Unmasking The Mic - Episode 12 - Michael Clayton

Unmasking The Mic - Episode 12 - Michael Clayton
In this episode of Unmasking the Mic, Ralph Anthony sits down with NYC based comedian, Michael Clayton. They discuss the power of partnerships whereby we find strength in being supported by someone who is emotionally responsible and intelligent. They discuss how relationships can ripple childhood trauma and so it's monumental that we talk about these things so avoid resenting our significant others. They also dig deep into coping mechanisms and how they can be fuel for confrontations within a relationship. Not to mention some good ole fashioned comedy talk.
