Episode 305- They've Got To Control The Narrative

www.commsolutionsmn.com- Now that the 2024 presidential race is set between Trump v Biden, what is the Democrats play? It looks like Trump is ahead in all of the important places for now. What does that mean for the Dems in the House and the Senate? Will Biden even make it to the general election? Is Harris the heir apparent? Is it time for them to look to 2026 legislative elections, and just skip it this year?

The World Health Organization (WHO) is working with the nations of the world to create a set of protocols to future pandemic response. This isn't meant for coordination between nations. This is to give the WHO sweeping powers to declare a worldwide pandemic and control the behaviors of billions of individuals around the world.

This is a war against "disinformation", "misinformation", and "malinformation". This is what the World Economic Forum said was the greatest threat (including climate change) at Davos this year. They've got to shut us up so they can control the narrative. This agreement is an official treaty, which gives it unique authority. This treaty would give them authority over passports, treatments, and alternate remedies. Biden may sign this by May, but it looks like the senate will not give them the 2/3 vote that they would need to pass this, but we need to keep an eye on it and let our elected officials know what we think. There's a bill to push back, but lawmakers need our help.

Do you want to learn how to strengthen your relationship over time?

Do you want to have better communication and expectations with your partner?

On this very special episode of On Purpose, Jay Shetty sits down with the former First Lady of the country, Michelle Obama. During Michelle’s time as First Lady, Michelle launched several initiatives, including "Let's Move!" which aimed to combat childhood obesity, and "Reach Higher," promoting higher education. Her memoir "Becoming," released in 2018, became one of the best-selling books of that year and took the world by storm. Today we sit down to talk about her most recent book, “The Light We Carry.”

In this raw conversation, Michelle opens up about her thoughts on marriage, fame, and public service. She talks about the toxicity of social media and technology that affects our mental health and how to be open to the changes and possibilities people bring with them. She also talks about how negative news and social updates are affecting our society and the community we are in.

We also dive deep into relationships and  why we put so much pressure on our marriage, how to choose the right person for you and make the relationship work even when it isn’t perfect, and how to practice constructive arguments with your partner.

    In this interview, you’ll learn:

    • How to think freely and independently
    • How to take care of your mental health
    • How to become a supportive partner
    • How deal with negativity
    • How to become an effective leader
    • How to make your marriage last

Together we’ll learn how to find calm amid life's noise, give people the space to be seen and heard, and explore topics that resonate with the very fabric of our personal growth journey.

    With Love and Gratitude,

    Jay Shetty

Jimmy Carter Attends Rosalynn's Memorial Service; 41 Construction Workers In India Rescued After Being Trapped for 17 Days

Jimmy Carter Attends Rosalynn's Memorial Service; 41 Construction Workers In India Rescued After Being Trapped for 17 Days

Former first lady Rosalynn Carter was honored in Georgia on Tuesday at a tribute service. Her husband, former President Jimmy Carter, joined the event, along with prominent figures like President Biden, Vice President Kamala Harris, and all the living former first ladies. This touching tribute follows Rosalynn Carter's passing on November 19 at the age of 96. Her son, James "Chip" Carter III, shared heartfelt memories, highlighting her support during his struggles and their family's close bond. Jimmy Carter, who has been in hospice care since February, attended the service in a wheelchair. The Carters, married for 77 years, leave behind a remarkable legacy.

Shifting our focus to India, a miraculous rescue took place as all 41 construction workers trapped in a collapsed tunnel in Uttarakhand State were successfully rescued after 17 days. The workers endured the ordeal after a landslide on November 12 caused a portion of the 2.2-mile tunnel to collapse. Similar to iconic rescues in the past, the workers received sustenance through narrow steel pipes while physicians monitored their health. Despite challenges, the rescue team persevered, drilling through over 100 feet of rubble. The workers' families welcomed them with open arms, creating an emotional scene. Chief Minister Shri Pushkar Singh Dhami announced financial assistance for the workers, underlining the community's resilience.

In a legal update, the late Aretha Franklin's sons were awarded real estate based on a handwritten will from 2014 found between couch cushions. Despite challenges to its validity, a Detroit-area jury upheld the document four months ago. The decision overrides a 2010 handwritten will found at Franklin's home. The properties, including a significant one valued at $1.1 million, will be distributed among her sons. The legal proceedings shed light on the complexities surrounding Franklin's estate.

Shifting gears to sports, the New York City Football Club (NYCFC) unveiled plans for a groundbreaking project—a fully electric soccer stadium in Willets Point, Queens. This 25,000-seat stadium aims to be the first fully electric stadium in Major League Soccer (MLS) and the first fully electric professional sports stadium in New York City. The project extends beyond sports, including 2,500 units of affordable housing, a public school, open spaces, retail areas, and a sustainable approach to construction and operations.

And now, for some festive news, tonight marks the 2023 Rockefeller Center Christmas tree lighting ceremony. Before the official celebration begins, a live hour of the special will be broadcast on NBC-owned stations and affiliates nationwide, starting at 7 p.m. ET.
