    WHY YOUR BOUNDARIES AREN'T WORKING

Are you flimsy with your boundaries? Are you too forgiving of men? Do you find yourself being too agreeable and malleable?

In this episode, Chidera discusses the idea of creating penalties when men hurt your feelings yet automatically expect forgiveness, why your boundaries might not be working, and what you can do to be stern while still maintaining your sweetness.

    CONTROLLING YOUR SEXUAL URGES

    CONTROLLING YOUR SEXUAL URGES

Is sex different with celebrity men vs regular men? Are the women who think they’re better than sex workers aware they’re casually giving men free access to the same sex other women benefit from? Do men deserve bareback privileges?

In this episode, The Slumflower talks about holding out vs giving in, being more likely to slip into 'friends with benefits' scenarios because you are driven by your sexual urges, as well as the issue of sending men nudes...

    BECOMING MORE SAVAGE!

    BECOMING MORE SAVAGE!

Should we be more 'unrealistic' in our desires and demands of men? Are we benefiting from holding back on giving men a taste of their own medicine? Does our definition of 'savage' need to change?

In this episode, Chidera discusses why it matters to match a man's arrogance, why you need to stop explaining yourself to men and why it's important to hold space for the things you don't find attractive about him - no matter how much you fancy him, as a means of staying grounded without becoming grandiose in your attraction to him.

The red flags you see now are the reasons you'll leave later

The red flags you see now are the reasons you'll leave later

Self explanatory. If you see some major issues early on, my best advice is to get out while you still can. The red flags you see in the beginning are the reasons you'll most likely leave the relationship later - or they'll be the reason you're unhappy in a relationship. Yes, people can grow and change, however, I've noticed that my gut was always telling me to run prior to diving deeper into a situation with someone...yet I just ignored it. Let's talk about it.

How to avoid getting attached too quickly

How to avoid getting attached too quickly
It's easy to get attached to someone we've just met...because they're nice. Because they're attractive and treat us right. But how soon is too soon to get attached? Often times I'd become so fixated on one person early on, only to realize it was all smoke and mirrors. This person was not at all who I thought they were. So here's an episode talking about that experience, and how to avoid getting attached too fast. If you loved this episode, dm me on instagram @lyss or @dateyourselfinstead and share it with a friend. Xoxo.

Gabrielle Reece On Optimal Nutrition, Homeschooling & Life With Laird
Today on the podcast, Rich and Julie Piatt sit down with uber-athlete and fitness / wellness advocate Gabrielle Reece to talk about health & fitness, the importance of good nutrition, Gabby's general perspective on marriage and relationships (…and yes, sex), how she makes it work with her husband — famed big wave surfer Laird Hamilton– homeschooling her girls, female role models, failing “upward”, dealing with negativity, food & fitness tips for getting started in the right direction for the new year, and of course her upcoming book, My Foot Is Too Big for the Glass Slipper: A Guide to the Less Than Perfect Life* (Scribner, coming April 2013). Enjoy! Rich [NOTE: apologies for the audio quality. Podcasting from a warehouse has its drawbacks, particularly when it's pouring rain, as it was today. The background noise is showers on a tin roof. Did the best we could.]
