21 Ways to Keep Your Eating Under Control This Holiday Season
Happy Holidays, friends! Tis the season to be Jolly, right? Unfortunately, most people struggle with feelings that aren’t very happy during this season. And they lead us to overeat or eat unhealthy foods. I am referring to the feelings of lack of perfection & a poverty mindset. During this time of year, we worry more than usual about measuring up to others’ expectations of us. The poverty mindset that we struggle with throughout the year, really rears its ugly head and tells us that we don’t have enough. We haven’t spent enough. We don’t have enough money. We aren’t doing enough. We can’t be enough. Those are all just lies. There isn’t any truth there whatsoever. But we cannot help compare our lives to others. The bible tells us that “Comparison is the thief of Joy,” and this is his busiest season. The season when we focus on Christ. For many of us, these feelings of not being enough or having enough show up in our diet. Because we certainly do EAT enough during the holidays. Am I right? Surely, I was not the only one giving thanks for stretch pants at Thanksgiving. Yes or yes? So, I have put together a list of strategies that I am using this season to attempt to stay on track with my diet. Mostly because I have had some health struggles this year myself from an accident and I need my gut health to improve. Not get worse. And some of you are in the same boat, so I thought I would share these 21 ways to keep your eating under control. If you find any of these particularly helpful, I would love it if you would share your success with me on Instagram. Encouraging one another makes our health goals feel so much more achievable. Okay, here we go!
