Cancelling Plans, Energy Management and Self-Care

Cancelling Plans, Energy Management and Self-Care

I recently canceled three commitments within ten days and it felt amazing.  Do you ever feel like you'd just love a night to slow down or an afternoon to yourself, but it doesn't feel like it's okay to cancel or rock the boat?

In this episode, I share my own journey of breaking free of people-pleasing and over-functioning.  the immense relief that came with it. This isn't just about backing out of plans; it's about learning to respect your energy levels and recognizing the warning signs of impending burnout.

This episode is not just a story but an invitation to a mindset shift. We dive deep into the concept of energy management as a crucial act of self-care.  I also share some questions you can ask yourself to reevaluate your commitments and see where it feels comfortable and okay to change plans or change your mind without having to worry that you look flakey or unreliable.  This conversation aims to help you regain control over your schedule, assess your actions' impact on others, and understand how canceling plans affects our relationships and reputation. Join me for an eye-opening discussion about energy management, commitments, and breaking free from old patterns.
