    But ultimately, what seems to hold most of us back?

    Who we see in the mirror.

    Our reflections can be a deterrent to who we are not, what we are lacking, and where we have failed. 

    At the same time, our reflections can remind us of who we can become even when all we see is a mess.

    You don't have to have all the answers in order to move forward on a goal. You don't have to be "all in" without errors to pursue a healthy lifestyle.

    It's about releasing the control that overrules your every step.

    When it comes to how to be more attractive, you start where you left off.

    The K.I.S.S. ~ Start where you left off!

    You can never get back the time of yesterday. But you can defend your time today in order to impact your tomorrow. 

    Start where you left off.

    1. SEE the truth, not the lies. So much of what we want is entangled with lies. We make decisions that don't make sense to who we want to become, leaving only the answers to fulfill what we currently know. When you face the truth, that's where the transformation begins.
    2. ACT on one thing, not lots of things. Don't overcomplicate your days. Life is complicated enough. So do what you can in the season you are in and create a rhythm. You need consistency to build resilience to your old habits.
    3. BE who you are becoming, not the memories of your failures. You can knock yourself down as many times as you want. But the more you live like who you are becoming, the greater your chances of living the life you desire.

    When it comes to being more attractive, it doesn't matter what others think. It matters who you see in your reflection. 

    If you continue to cut yourself down and talk bad about yourself, that's where you're going to stay.

    However, if you are willing to take a chance on transitioning to your goals, then that's where you'll find what you're looking for.

    CHALLENGE: Don't focus on all the stuff. Take what you can do today, and do the best you can today!

    PRAYER: May the peace of progress consume your soul as you work towards gaining the healthy lifestyle you desire.

    Embarking on a healthy living journey doesn't have to be overwhelming. Oftentimes, people feel the pressure of having to make radical changes all at once. Stop and smell the roses. A little goes a long way.

    Because when you think about it, who wants to increase stress and become more discouraged?

    Where do you feel like you've skipped out on yourself?

    I don't know about you, but it's oh-so-easy to do everything for everyone else, yet not give a second thought about yourself.

    Don't throw away the greatest gift given to your family. YOU!!!

    By taking small steps toward a healthier lifestyle, you get to make a significant difference for yourself in the long run.

    So get ready to do....well, just a little.

    The K.I.S.S. ~ Do just a little!

    Now doing a little doesn't mean that you aren't doing anything at all. It also doesn't mean you get to be lazy. You are being very strategic with how you work your habits to support your everyday mission of living healthy.

    1. Find joy in movement:

    Exercise is a crucial component of a healthy lifestyle, but it doesn't have to mean spending hours at the gym or running a marathon. Start by incorporating enjoyable physical activities into your daily routine. Take a leisurely walk in nature or dance to your favorite uplifting music. These activities can help boost your mood, improve your cardiovascular health, and increase overall fitness levels.

    Think outside the box. Don't do something that is normal for you. Take up a new activity that's fun and challenging in all the positive ways. Pickleball might be a good option. Swimming instead of running.

    Biblical Resource: Proverbs 3:8-9 reminds us that through honoring God with our bodies, we will find health and vitality: "This will bring health to your body and nourishment to your bones."

    2. Nourish your body with wholesome foods:

    Nutrition plays a vital role in maintaining optimal health. Rather than completely overhauling your diet overnight, begin by making small dietary changes. Incorporate more fruits and vegetables into your meals, swap sugary drinks for water, or pack nourishing snacks like nuts and seeds. These small changes can gradually improve your overall diet and provide your body with essential vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants.

    Biblical Resource: In 1 Corinthians 6:19-20, we are encouraged to treat our bodies as temples of the Holy Spirit: "Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; you were bought at a price. Therefore, honor God with your bodies."

    3. Prioritize quality sleep:

    In our fast-paced world, getting enough sleep often takes a backseat. However, good-quality sleep is crucial for overall health and well-being. Establish a consistent sleep routine, create a calming environment in your bedroom, and try relaxation techniques such as meditation or reading before bed. These small changes can help improve sleep quality, boost energy levels, and enhance cognitive function.

    Biblical Resource: Psalm 4:8 assures us that a peaceful sleep is a gift from God: "In peace I will lie down and sleep, for you alone, Lord, make me dwell in safety."

    Let me share this with you. When you are making any changes to your routine, conduct it in a manner that you will succeed.

    In other words, don't set yourself up for failure.

    Remember, healthy living is a lifelong journey, and it's okay to start small. So, take that first step today towards a healthier, happier you, and let the process unfold gradually, knowing that a little goes a long way.

    In relationships, walls are built for the protection of the heart and the expansion of oneself. However, if you want happiness beyond your feelings, you have to make walls fall down.

    Why keep building up the walls? You might think you are right in doing so. However, you most likely are pushing your spouse further away.

    Marriage is the joining of two people from different walks of life and experiences. Together, they become one.

    Now that doesn't mean that you lose your identity as an individual. But how you do life together is definitely different than how you would do life by yourself.

    You must be willing to make sacrifices for each other. Otherwise, why get married?

    Look at where you are in your marriage. Is it what you hoped for before you said: "I do"?

    Or maybe you are wanting more than where you are.

    You can have an incredible marriage where each of you has a voice but together as a couple, you are a force to be reckoned with. 

    In order to be that couple, you have to put in the work and make the walls fall down.

    The K.I.S.S. ~ Make walls fall down!

    1. Play together. If you don't do life together, how can you claim you are together? It's a little challenging. 
    2. Listen beyond the words. What is not being said? Hear the emotions in your conversations. 
    3. Nurture rest. If you are crabby all the time, you don't even want to be around yourself. So rest both as an individual and as a couple. Go to bed and care for each other. 

    All of these help to make walls fall down. It breaks barriers. It allows you to soften a little and be more intuned with your spouse. 

    If you are always so uptight and flustered, you won't be a help to anyone.

    When you constantly find yourself hitting a brick wall, it can be disheartening, and then motivation goes out the window. But fear not, because even in the face of adversity, you have the power to turn things around and write your very own comeback story.

    But this isn't just any story. It's the story where you honor your reflection and give yourself permission to keep going regardless of failure or success.

    You have a choice in life, and from here on out, you choose life! So it's time to write your comeback story!

    Today, let's explore ways that will help you come back to what truly matters for your health and well-being.

    Because as you know, according to studies, only about 8% of people successfully achieve their New Year's resolutions. So let's break the stats this year. And in order to do so, you will need to find a sustainable, long-term approach to healthy living rather than relying on short-lived resolutions.

    Setbacks and failures are not signs of defeat, but rather opportunities for growth.

    Step 1: Set Clear and Attainable Goals

    You have got to be specific, yet with flexibility in mind. Take some time to reflect on what truly matters to you when it comes to your health. Is it losing weight, improving fitness levels, or simply feeling more energized?

    Define your goals in specific and measurable terms. For example, replace "lose weight" with "lose 10 pounds in the next three months." Setting realistic targets will not only increase your chances of success but also provide you with a clear roadmap to navigate your journey.

    Step 2: Make Small, Sustainable Changes

    Don't bite off more than you can chew. Now that you have your goals in place, it's time to implement small, sustainable changes in your everyday. Remember, Rome wasn't built in a day, and neither will your healthy lifestyle.

    Start by making simple adjustments, such as incorporating more fruits and vegetables into your diet, taking the stairs instead of the elevator, or setting aside dedicated time for physical activity. These small changes, when practiced consistently, can have a significant impact on your overall well-being.

    Step 3: Cultivate a Supportive Network

    In this, don't share with people who will criticize or judge. Instead,  surround yourself with a supportive network so you can achieve long-term success. Share your health goals with family and friends, or even join a community of like-minded individuals if they are going to support you. Having people who believe in you and cheer you on during your journey can provide the motivation and accountability you need to stay on track. Yet consider seeking professional guidance from a nutritionist, personal trainer, coach, or therapist who can offer expert advice tailored to your specific needs. Remember, you don't have to do it alone!

    Embracing a healthy lifestyle and writing your comeback story is not an overnight process. It's a moment-by-moment, decision-by-decision every day. It requires perseverance, resilience, and a commitment to make sustainable changes. When faced with challenges and setbacks, remind yourself that failure is not the end but a stepping stone to the next best decision. Set clear goals, make small sustainable changes, and surround yourself with a supportive network. With these steps in place, you'll be well on your way to reclaiming your health and creating a lasting change that truly matters.
