Environment Canada senior climatologist David Phillips talks to Andrew Carter about the unusual weather we have seen this winter.
Mild temperatures, lack of snow and the return of sun may help you beat the winter blues but it’s putting the ice fishing season on thin ice. Ronald Proulx owns and operates a family business, Centre de Peche C.R. in Vaudreuil–Dorion. He joined Andrew Carter to discuss how his business has been coping this season.
It's been wild the last few days with the weather in North Texas. Last week, there were days when the temperature dropped below freezing. Weather can impact everyone, but it's especially tough for the homeless and for other people who just don't get enough to eat daily. Jeff Smith joined Monday's Ask the Expert. He is the senior manager of communications at North Texas Food Bank.

It could literally be the hottest job going this summer. There is never a good time for the air conditioning to go out, but when it happens and the temperature is 107 degrees, homeowners will do anything to get it fixed fast.
Dr. Stephen Pape, the associate dean for Construction Sciences at the Dallas College School of Manufacturing and Industrial Technology, joined Ask the Expert Tuesday to explain.

North Texas is still under an excessive heat warning through Wednesday this week. That's causing some problems for people working outside, like our First Responders.
On Ask the Expert, Matt Zavadsky from MedStar in Fort Worth joined the KRLD Afternoon News. He tells Kristin Diaz and Austin York how his crews prepare to respond to heat related calls as well as what they encounter when they arrive to assist others.
He shares how patients associated with heat-related calls are usually under three catergories: the homeless, the poor or elderly who try to avoid high electricity bills by not running the air conditioning or do not have working a.c.s and or kids that overheat quickly while playing outside.
