    The Loch Ness Monster

    The Loch Ness Monster
The Loch Ness Monster (also known as Nessie) is a cryptid that is said to inhabit Loch Ness, a large freshwater lake in Scotland. The first recorded sighting of the monster was in 565 AD, by Saint Columba, a missionary from Ireland.
Sightings of the monster continued throughout the centuries, but it was not until 1933 that the creature became a global sensation. In that year, a newspaper published a photograph of a large creature with a long neck and humped back, emerging from the waters of Loch Ness.
The photograph, known as the "Surgeon's Photograph," sparked a frenzy of public interest in the monster. People from all over the world came to Loch Ness in the hope of seeing the creature for themselves. Over the years, there have been many other sightings of the monster, but none of them have been conclusive. Some people believe that the monster is a real creature, while others believe that it is a hoax. Current Circumstances Today, the Loch Ness Monster remains one of the world's most famous cryptids. People from all over the world still come to Loch Ness in the hope of seeing the creature for themselves. There have been a number of scientific expeditions to Loch Ness in search of the monster, but none of them have been successful. However, the possibility that the monster exists still fascinates people around the world. Thanks for listening to Quiet Please. Remember to like and share wherever you get your podcasts.

Episode 44 - Michael's story. A service user perspective on Scottish mental health services

Episode 44 - Michael's story. A service user perspective on Scottish mental health services
Michael joins Vincenzo to talk about his experience of mental health services in Scotland, over time. We discuss how services, by understanding suffering as a risk, end up caring mostly about dangerousness. This means that those in crisis are often met with a repressive approach, and those who are not considered dangerous are often met with a neglectful approach.

    Halloween Origins

    Halloween Origins
Halloween is a holiday celebrated annually on October 31, in which costumes are worn and children trick-or-treat. The now commercialized tradition originated with the ancient Celtic festival of Samhain, when people would light bonfires and wear costumes to ward off ghosts. This episode will look into the origins and history of Halloween and how they came to be.

The Vast Landscape of Poison Narratives - (Pt. 1)

The Vast Landscape of Poison Narratives - (Pt. 1)
Alternate Current Radio Presents: BOILER ROOM - Learn to protect yourself from predatory mass media!

On Part 1 of this April 14th, 2022 edition of BOILER ROOM, Hesher and Spore gather a might brain trust meeting of the Social Rejects Club for a cacophony of news'n and media analysis. Spore kicks off with a story out of Scotland concerning service animals like horses and seeing eye dogs being unable to navigate safely around "rainbow crosswalks" that have been installed by the city, ostensibly to show how much the city loves diversity in what people do with their genitals. Is one minority group's sense of validation for what they do in their private lives more important than other groups of minorities such as the visually/physically impaired who face physical danger if their service animals can not safely navigate the virtuous crosswalks? Some updates from Mark Anderson about "fifteen minute cities." As western governments push towards forcing electric cars and so-called 'green' and 'renewable power' onto western nations in the great reset the Boiler Room examines the downsides and the lies involved with these plans. And some more new gaffes from Sleepy Joe Biden!

Featuring: Hesher, Spore, Ruckus, MindSpaceArt, Infidel Pharaoh, Chopper, Oddman Out and Mark Anderson

    Episode. 4 "Statto ! Statto ! Statto !"
So we’ve reached the last eight of Euro 2020 and the boys are still going strong. There’s no knocking out these lads in the heat of Baku.

Yes, Jason “Wine Gum” Trinder, Andy “No Socks” Gorman and Jason “Stats” Mohammad are back for a bumper edition of ABITABLUE EuroTrashed.

There’s no special guest (contractual issues) so the lads fill airtime with incessant bickering, football banter, useless stats and arguments over Wine Gums.

So kick back, relax and settle down to Andy’s assessment of where it all went wrong for Wales, JT’s defence of yet another Euro goalkeeping blunder and JMo’s obsession with stats - which sadly resulted in him getting punched in the face by Trinder!

There’s also a guest appearance from the studio cleaner. So put the duster down and add some sparkle to your podcast world.

Meanwhile, Jason Mohammad "The Crown Green King" talks about his surprising love of lawn bowls.

The lads talk about the final round of matches, their big night in front of the telly with a curry, look ahead to the last 16, ask questions of England’s second-half performances and say goodbye to Steve Clarke’s Scotland.

This week’s special guest is former Everton and England midfielder Leon Osman who talks about the Toffees, Wales’ chances of making the last eight and his favourite goal.

There’s the second winner of our Sock Council competition and the usual laughs and jokes.

When order is restored, they introduce their special signing for the tournament - broadcasting legend and Pep lookalike wannabe Jason Mohammad and special guest former Leeds United, Everton, and all-around superstar Jermaine Beckford.
