Autumn's Oddities

Personality changes following organ transplants have been reported for decades, including accounts of recipients acquiring the personality characteristics of their donor. There have been numerous studies done to determine whether this is a real phenomenon, but the question remains: can organ donation recipients really inherit memories, talents, and even the personality of the donor?

In 1977, escrow agent Charles Morgan went missing for several days only to return home unable to speak, missing a shoe, and with plastic handcuffs on his wrists and ankles. After being taken, he was determined it wouldn't happen again. Not only did it happen again, but Charles Morgan never returned home. While his death was ruled by police as a suicide, the details surrounding the case add up to something much more sinister.

On April 17, 1935, a fisherman hooked a small shark off Coogee Beach in Australia. Then a 13-foot, or four-meter, tiger shark swallowed the smaller shark, allowing itself to be caught by the hook as well. The fisherman just so happened to own an aquarium and decided the tiger shark would be his new attraction. But the small shark wasn’t the only thing the large tiger shark had gobbled up, though. Something the predator ate didn’t agree with it and would soon come back up.

When Santa walked into First National Bank on December 23, 1927, it wasn't to make a deposit or apply for a loan. He was there to make a permanent withdrawal at gunpoint, along with his helper. What ensued was a massive manhunt for the bandits and a lot less holiday cheer in the town of Cisco, Texas.
