    I'm talking with Beth Ann Tieche, founder of Low Lift Fun. We talk about the inspiration behind creating Low Lift Fun during covid while staying home with her 3 young children, parenting a spirited child and how sharing what you love and what comes naturally to you could potentially become a business that helps others.

    Beth Ann is an elementary principal turned full time content creator and stay at home mom of three (twins plus one). She shares low lift (easy) activities to empower moms of spirited kids to have more joy and less stress in their days!

    Through play based learning, low prep activities, and positive parenting methods, she helps moms connect with their kids, so that we can decrease power struggles, increase listening, and have more fun in motherhood!

    How to Help Our Kids Be Independent Through Connection - Mama Tribe

    How to Help Our Kids Be Independent Through Connection - Mama Tribe

    In this fourth Mama Tribe episode I was inspired to have a conversation about fostering independence in our kids since it's being released on America's Independence Day, July 4th (which also happens to be my sister's birthday!)

    I'm sharing this conversation with my friend's Rachael Blair and Dinuka Ranasinghe who are mama's of different aged kids & who have both been on previous episodes of the show.

    I initially brought to the table the topic of how to help our children become independent during different stages of their lives while moving away from dependence on us. The conversation then became about  "connection" and how it's all about us connecting with them which in turn brings about more independence and confidence in their lives.

    Rachael Blair is a wife, mother of 3 and a nurse. By focusing on mind-body-heart awareness, how we create with our thoughts and using emotions as a feedback mechanism, she’s teaching parents and children how to connect to their inner voice.   When we align with that voice, we are able to follow our curiosity, passion, and find so much joy.  She hopes to uplift and inspire families to bring more imagination, creativity and playfulness into every home.

    To connect with Rachael listen to her podcast Raising Vibrant Kids HERE. Connect with her on IG @RaisingVibrantKids

    Dinuka Ranasinghe is first and foremost the mother of 2 amazing boys ages 14 and 12. They have been her true teachers on this path of Conscious Parenting.

    Having been admitted to the New York Bar in 2008 as an attorney she decided to follow her calling to work with children. She jumped right in and bought a Preschool, Kid Works Children’s Center. In search of more wisdom, she completed and graduated from the Conscious Coaching Institute of Dr. Shefali Tsabary and received her Conscious Parenting Method Certification in 2019, prior to which she certified in the Emotion Code Energy Healing Modality by Dr. Bradley Nelson, where the core Inner Child healing occurs and Generational Patterns are released.

    Meg LeFauve: Pixar’s Inside Out, Parenting “Lava,” & Children’s Emotions

    Meg LeFauve: Pixar’s Inside Out, Parenting “Lava,” & Children’s Emotions

    In this episode of Katie’s Crib, Katie talks to Meg LeFauve, the Oscar-nominated screenwriter for the Pixar film Inside Out. Meg explains the process that came along with writing the film, and what she hopes the movie (and its successor) would teach about expressing emotions.

    Meg digs into how she first got involved in the IO project, and how the character Sadness became the essential emotion of focus in the movie. The “The Screenwriting Life” podcast host also reflects on how she witnessed children and adult audience members react to the flick. Finally, Meg recalls how the movie influenced her own parenting styles.

    Also, how did Meg’s own children respond to Inside Out, knowing that their mom wrote the movie? Push play for the answer!

    How to Use the Picture Walk Reading Strategy to Build Comprehension Skills

    https://youtu.be/Hjb9BKicup8

    It’s a funny name, but picture walks are real! When you know the story, you can narrate the story by viewing pictures. Young kids don’t need the whole story. They don’t need all the details. Just the basics. I use Goldilocks and the Three Bears to show you how to do the picture walk.

    Children who are reading, can read to young siblings. Depending on the younger child’s age, the child may need to learn how to do picture walks. My two year old used to read to her big brother (age 3) with picture walks. It was the cutest thing!

    Please like and subscribe to the channel. I hope you have the desire to purchase the Read, Write and Listen books from me as I can share my reseller discount with you. And then, with a paid subscription, you can have the training videos on how to successfully use these books. Instructions are in the back of each book, but I am writing out detailed instructions for you…with words, and more details.

    Finally, be aware if your child struggles with these books. Only 45% of dyslexia is genetic. Developmental dyslexia can be avoided using the Science of Reading beginning with preschoolers and kinders.

    Dyslexia – A Trait of Genius Forty percent of self-made millionaires in the United States are dyslexic. Thirty-five percent of entrepreneurs in the United States are dyslexic. Alexander Graham Bell, Steven Spielberg, Walt Disney, Henry Ford, and Leonardo Da Vinci all had Dyslexia. Why Puzzles are so Good for Kids Learning -  What Are the Benefits of Puzzles?

    Puzzles are fun, colorful, and educational! They enhance and promote cooperative play. Many parents don’t know how to play with their kids, use puzzles and other educational toys. Did you know you can build your child’s vocabulary by playing puzzles with them? And of course they love to play with you too! Learning to read starts early, in preschool and kindergarten. It begins with play! Enjoy this video! I explain different puzzles, how to use them with the Science of Reading! They have tremendous educational benefits developing visual memory, motor memory, vocabulary, and early writing patterns.

    I use my own reading program for dyslexic students and I train teachers in my program if you are interested. I use these puzzles with my mod severe students in a home hospital setting.

    Manage Leads and Grow Your Waitlist the '2022 Way' with Beth Fiori

    Tiny Treasures Preschool has been serving children in Northern California since 1997. Founded by owner Beth Fiori, Tiny Treasures’ goal is to develop the self-esteem, education, and social skills of young children. As Tiny Treasures began to grow, Beth saw a need to modernize lead management and parent communications.

    She searched for lead management software that could organize family contact information in one place, automate lead follow-up, and let parents schedule tours online. After looking at several options, Beth chose ChildcareCRM which helps her stay organized, reduce her daily to-do list, and save 10-hours of work every week.

    If you didn’t listen to yesterday’s podcast, it is here. This is Day 2 of the Free Webinar I held in 2020.

    You Tube of Day 1   https://youtu.be/6UlF51PPJQI

    So many parents have shared concerns that their children are struggling now in Kinder because they missed preschool school last year and teachers just need help. I conducted a 2-Day Webinar in 2020 called Kinder Champs anticipating this crisis back then, never believing it would see us into 2022. Kinders need help – Parents you need help with your kids. Here are tools you can use yourself or reach out to me for the materials and I’ll get them to you. Anticipate we can turn things around for our kiddos in 2022. Always, I have dyslexia materials for kids when they learn the letter names and sounds. This is a great starting place.

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    I got sad witnessing kids fail in school and seeing homes turn into battlefields over the most empowering thing like reading - because a child is dyslexic and struggles with reading.
    I know many dyslexic people are gifted. I believe if the environment will embrace reading, it opens up the world of opportunity and brings peace to the household.
    Education is Dr. Cintron’s third career, spring boarded from subbing in her children’s preschool to being a substitute teacher in a mental health hospital. She never dreamed of earning 5 degrees with a call to expose that “Dyslexia is a Trait of Genius!”  She’s been an educator for over 23 years and a classroom teacher for 10. She earned a Doctorate Degree and two Masters Degrees.
