Free Speech vs. Harassment, and the State of "Cancel Culture," with Katie Herzog and Jesse Singal | Ep. 775
Megyn Kelly is joined by Katie Herzog and Jesse Singal, hosts of the "Blocked and Reported" podcast, to discuss what universities should do with violent, loony protesters on campus, the nuance of free speech vs. harassment, whether our culture is past the worst of the instinct to cancel, how employers and universities should deal with the issue of employees and students taking controversial public stances, a New Hampshire "trans athletes" bill, the issue of biological males in women's spaces, and more.

Outrage at Columbia University
The White House has condemned what it calls “blatantly antisemitic” statements at student protests against the war in Gaza.
Fractious demonstrations at Columbia University in New York have rumbled on for six days, while arrests have been made at other major colleges including Yale.
Jewish students at Columbia have been warned to go home, with classes moved online. Some pro-Palestine protesters have been suspended.
Critics say this is a free speech issue, conflating criticism of Israel with hatred of Jews. Others say it’s simply unacceptable that Jewish students do not feel safe.
To debate, Piers is joined by the Editor of the Yale Free Press, Sahar Tartak, who was jabbed in the eye with a Palestinian flag by a protester.
Arab-Israeli Journalist, Yoseph Haddad, who was assaulted at a protest at Columbia University

Could Scotland's hate crime law be the beginning of the end for free speech?
Scotland’s new Hate Crime and Public Order Act came into force on Monday - and within 48 hours at least 800 'hate crimes' had been reported to Scottish police. So, what's in it? And why has it put Scotland once again at the centre of the culture wars?

Here's the News: Ireland Just SHOCKED The World And Elon Is FIGHTING BACK!
As Elon Musk pledges to fund any Irish legal challenges to hate speech legislation, is Ireland on the verge of criminalising speech that would ordinarily be regarded merely as rude or controversial – and more worrying, is this just a pilot for laws that will be enacted around the globe?

Big advertisers flee X as Musk spotlights antisemitic content
This time of year, companies tend to open their wallets and choose where they choose to advertise. Those ad dollars are the lifeblood of X, the former Twitter. In the last quarter of 2021, almost 90% of Twitter’s revenue came from ads. That business model was already showing signs of wear after when Elon Musk took over. Now, as the Israel-Hamas war rages on, a new controversial post by Musk has accelerated the flight of advertisers. New York Times journalist Ryan Mac spoke with Marketplace’s Lily Jamali about how the fallout of fleeing advertisers could affect the platform.

How do we combat hate?
What happened in the Dublin Riots was driven by far right agitators but how do we fight their message?
Dion and Joe ask how should we treat those on the margins of the hate movement.
Finland has become a world leader in combating hate and misinformation using a curriculum that starts when their kids are five years old. Turns out kids don’t hate “others” unless they have been taught to hate them.
Why can’t the same happen in Ireland?

Woke Frauds Exposed, Jew Haters at Universities, and Matthew Perry and the Drug of Fame, with Andrew Klavan | Ep. 659
Megyn Kelly begins the show by describing how the "woke" fraud is now being exposed after the terror attack in Israel, the anti-Jewish sentiment in plain sight at college campuses, the women and girls we see ripping down Israeli hostage posters, and more. Then Andrew Klavan, author of "The House of Love and Death," joins to discuss why it's been a bad month for the "woke warriors," how it's better to expose the Jew haters in America, why race essentialism is so toxic to our culture, the anti-Jewish sentiment happening at top universities in America, the Yale newspaper refusing to acknowledge the beheadings and rapes that happened in Israel, our culture making it costly to speak the truth, the sad and untimely death of Friends star Matthew Perry, his legacy and addiction battle, the drug of fame, attacks by the media on Speaker Mike Johnson over his Christian faith, the terrible Jen Psaki MSNBC show, faith and constraint versus materialism, lies about mental health related to mass shooting, a trans activist embarrassing waiters for calling him "sir," how LGBT activists hurt their own communities, and more. And Megyn closes the show with a Halloween horror story featuring her dog Strudwick.
