Day 19 ~ "Be Careful What You Pray" Devotionalists Linda Smith and Tony Street

Day 19 ~ "Be Careful What You Pray" Devotionalists Linda Smith and Tony Street
As we can imagine from the dramatic reading of Matthew 6:9-13. God can and does listen to our prayers.
People sometimes ask … What does the Bible say about God listening to our prayers?
1 Peter 3:12 comes to mind "For the eyes of the Lord are on the righteous and His ears are attentive to their prayer..."
And in John 5:14-15 - " 14 And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he hears us: 15 And if we know that he hears us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him.

When we pray the Lord's Prayer, we ask God to help us surrender our will and completely rely on Him. We let go of our control when we want God's will over our own. After all, we're more ourselves once we surrender.
Well, that’s it for today. Thank you, Linda, and Tony, for giving us something to remember.
God really does listen to our prayers…and He is able and willing to answer our prayers.
Friends and listeners, please share our show, Sounds of Devotion with your circle of friends and family. We are on Spreaker, Spotify, Apple, iHeart Radio, Twitter, Google Podcasts and more. Until tomorrow, love ya much and Be Careful what you ask for because you never know who is listening in on your prayers. I’m Mina of Sounds of Devotion. Bye Bye for now.
