In 2012 George Chanos had a heart attack which sent him on a whole new direction. He wanted to prepare his 15 year old daughter for her future. So, he began writing her a letter which eventually evolved into his first book ‘Seize Your Destiny: A Road Map to Success’.

Then he realized that the world he had lived in was not the world that his daughter was going to live in— she was going to live in the next 30 to 50 years. So he began doing research into the future and what he saw amazed him, which became his second book: ‘Millennial Samurai: A Mindset for the 21st century’ to educate her and his nephews and nieces and other people.

He has also been called a futurist and a visionary. He’s an author, speaker, and mentor.

George strongly believes: the next 5 years is going to be highly disruptive. The country that has dominated Artificial Intelligence will dominate the world.

Now, he gets invited to speak at conferences and universities. He speaks there to help people get way far than he did in a shorter period of time.

    Watch FULL YOUTUBE INTERVIEW HERE

He had always wanted to prove something to somebody, to show that he was worthy of making money. So, he’s done a lot of work on himself and got a lot better.

He had a career in crowdfunding and went on to launch the 5th largest crowdfunding campaign in history for a book.

He’s now 34. But at 29, he lost everything literally.  All the money he’d hard earned.

And when he was younger he found it hard to make money.

But, because he wasn’t just starting out, he started over.

He used the connections, his knowledge, and his brand. This time he was able to make money a lot quicker.

Today, He’s still following his own disciplined path: making money, helping people, doing the right things and not cutting corners.

He became an investor and an advisor. He collaboratively raised over $85 Million for companies.

In this episode you will take away many promising insights:

-What will be the fastest path today to get some fame— to become an influencer, to build a personal brand?

    -Process of personal branding

-What if people want to be known for something but which does not have any business sense: they do not know how to sell, make products. Is there a value in that?

-Journey of Adam from an investing standpoint?

-How does Brandon keep pushing the goal post forward? How does he intend to keep solving potential challenges while not compromising the goal post?

-On what topics does Brandon speak when he’s invited to speak at universities and other places

-How can anyone get on the show ‘Shark Tank’?

    Quotes:

-Most people over estimate what they can do in 1 - 2 years and underestimate what they can do in 5 – 10 years

-You just need to stay focused and disciplined every single day

-It gets easier to make money as you get older and more timed on the path

-People look at influencers out there and compare themselves. But you need to look at yourself and ask ‘How can I be me every day? How can I be the best being?’

-You can buy followers, you can buy likes, buy views. There are influencers with a lot of followers that make no money, they don’t know how to monetize it

-You just need the right followers, you need the right offer – the right value to give. Talk about things that you like, provide value

-Ask yourself what do you want to be known for and who do you want to be known to and then speak to those people

-People don’t look at the sacrifices influencers make along their way

-If you stick with something long enough and start becoming known for something, you don’t need a million followers, you could have a couple of hundred

-You just need the right people to watch, you need to have a unique value and niche

-The more you can acquire likeness and trust now, the more money you’ll make in the future

-Now is the best time to create a lot of content.

-If you put the work in, enjoy doing it, try to master it and stick with it; something will come out of it

-Whatever your brand, what you want to be known for, who do you want to be known to are the 2 questions you ask yourself before you create content.

-Find somebody who’s already achieved what you want to achieve, get them as mentor and figure out how to get in business with them

-When you see a lot of wins behind you, you learn and you’re bound to succeed

-Some of the successful people are never satisfied, that’s why they keep going

-Why to focus on all the negative things some people say when there is always at least one person who says how valuable and good you are

-I love my fans and pray for my haters

-I invest not only in companies but also in people; when I make those big investments, it also helps me grow

-Some people go on these extravagant vacations and some buy nice new cars, but I make investments

-You can get creative on utilizing capital, even if it’s not your own capital to get the things that you want

-How can you structure deals and give value to multiple parties, where everybody gets a win out of the situation

Few Inspirational Quotes from the Episode

You can grow and scale your business but it's not going to be as successful as it could be if you're not growing yourself personally

    ·       Make sure you're not just trying to grow and scale your business to have that 10 billion portfolio or to have a jet plane but make sure that you're growing personally

    ·       For your first or your first several deals, it is worth giving up a little something just to get started to show your worth, to prove it to someone

    ·       Don't get too bent up on what's fair, what's the best percentage because some percentage is usually better than no percentage if you're not even going to do the deal

    ·       Four puzzle pieces as the reason people usually don't get started: No money, No time, No experience or knowledge, No courage

    ·       If you are struggling to get started, the best thing you can do is to take action even if that action is analyzing one deal a day

In this episode you will take away many promising insights as below:

    • What and how to become the one thing that remains a constant demand regardless of the economic environment, that thing cannot be ignored irrespective of the changes in the economy.
    • What would anyone actually do to earn that respect or that position from their customer so that they become a necessary utility to their business or to their life
    • How to deal with people to go past their personality and know their character
    • How would you instruct somebody to improve when their true character is exposed when they’re put under pressure

    Few Quotes from the Episode

    • People tend to use the state of the economy for the reason to do something or not to do something, so there's going to always be something.
    • It doesn't matter what the state of the economy is, as a sales pro you should hold people's attention long enough to get the message across
    • What can you say or do or demonstrate within 8 seconds to get people hooked for another 8 seconds, then get them hooked for another 8 seconds
    • Not only are we in an attrition economy but we're in a scrolling society: people are scrolling away
    • As a sales person you have to shake up the satisfaction, contentment and comfort that people are in for not doing a deal
    • As a sales person, you need to be more concerned about the client sincerely; not just about your pockets, your own personal scoreboard, your own personal commissions
    • Question is: How do we not just become an option or a service provider but a necessary utility to their business or to their life regardless of what changes
    • Starting point to become that necessary utility is to start asking your customer questions

    What's your Standard?

    What's your Standard?

Our family’s philosophy is: Always on the GROW

In the recent past, we have done a lot of thinking in determining our core values and principles and what we stand for.

We spent hours thinking through how we want to conduct ourselves as a family, and as individuals.

In this episode, I’m going to lay down the formula that I have tested out in my own personal life.

    Quotes:

    - We wanted to start controlling our lives in a way where it’s turning us into people we wanted to see ourselves as today and in the future. By reconciling who we were in the past: what decisions we weren’t making, what expectations we had of ourselves and weren’t following

    - Who do you want your son/ daughter to look up to as they’re watching you evolving in life? What kind of standard do you set there?

    - If you don’t set the standards early on, it’s really hard to set them later on down life

    - Our family’s philosophy is Always on the GROW

    - I realized that I was more consistent this year than my previous year

Sick and TIRED of these nonsense manipulative motives...

Sick and TIRED of these nonsense manipulative motives...

My whole life I was a victim of the messaging of Hollywood and the media. It was all that negative, manipulative, divisive, bad messaging.

I was a victim because they preying were on me.  They knew how to influence and impose their thoughts, beliefs and ideas on me.

This went on till the day of my transformation.

Now I’m fully frustrated by the messaging that comes from the media and Hollywood.

As modern-day Heroes we've got to combat this, we have to go straight into this mental warfare to play our part. What life could be like if some of that negative messaging was absent! Or, if people that were in control started making better decisions and not trying to play on people's weaknesses!

In this episode you will take away 3 promising insights (plus many more)

    • How I was a victim of the media preying on me and why one should combat this mental warfare
    • Kind of messaging that comes out to people by Hollywood
    • My comments on the movie produced by former President Obama and his wife where they’re inserting racial division
    • Big problem with Disney’s thinking

    Best Quotes from the Episode

    - In movies, there are a lot of self-interests in the people that are writing the script, bringing the script to life, shooting the movie and driving a narrative that ultimately has some influence

    - I am repulsed by people that project negative, manipulative, divisive, bad messaging

    - Before my transformation, I was a victim of the media's preying on me and them knowing how to influence me and how to bring their thoughts their ideas, their beliefs and impose them on me because I really didn't have any control and unfortunately it was where we got our messaging from before the advent of social media

    - How much more of this negativity from media can we continue to tolerate before a few modern-day Heroes decide that we've got to combat this mental warfare

    - Conditionally humans are wired to be more geared and drawn towards things that are going badly because it initiates the fear reaction parts of the brain

    - People could equally use their on air talent or their success in the business world to drive a completely different narrative to impact people in a positive way, instead of doing it in a negative way

    - Messaging has been altered or purposely put in front of you in order to capture your attention, hook your attention and then own your attention

    - News doesn't always promote positive stuff

    - I'm sick and tired of watching you constantly put people in these positions where they're walking around in their life on eggshells in their everyday life because of what you're doing

    - You have to be even more guarding of what it is you're watching

    - It's more important for us to start to come together and think about how to improve the quality of life

    - There's so many different messages that get imposed onto us without us even knowing it because we're not acutely aware of what just happened

    - Movies, Entertainment, Sports: they're all trying to influence you in a way that we don't want to be influenced

    Have you quit on life?

    Have you quit on life?

These days, I literally have to work just 3 to 4 days a month to make multiple 6-figures a year.

However, a decade ago, I found it very hard to accomplish the things that I wanted to accomplish.

Reason: partying, drinking, doing drugs, gambling, going out every night were my top priority. Though it seemed like those experiences are full, other parts of me said: there’s no direction. I was extremely complacent.

I was building businesses and restaurants but focus and concentration were fully absent.

This went on for a decade. Till the day I decided to become sober.

But when I decided to go sober, first thing I did was to ask myself ’why is this behavior taking place?

Learn my thoughts and recreation ideas here.

    - Why is it important for any of us to reinvent ourselves?

    - How did I start to make the change happen?

    - Open challenge to become the next version of you

    Important Quotes from the episode

Just because you had the vision, the want, and the desire to go out do some incredible things; doesn’t mean that you had the level of detail needed in order to execute at a very high level.

Because partying, drinking, doing drugs, gambling, going out every night were my priority; it was very hard for me to accomplish the things I actually wanted to accomplish.

I’ve completely recreated myself in so many ways

We need to ask ourselves, ‘Is this all that I was put here to do?’

Variables change, mentalities change, businesses evolve; everything is moving at a speed and at a rate.

Because there’s so much available to us, it confuses us and distracts us from doing the things we’re wanted/supposed to do

I literally have to work 3 to 4 days a month and make multiple 6-figures, however, I realized that’s not the standard for me to be known for, internally with myself.

Because I understand the change process so much; I know what people are capable of, I know what the possibility is

We need more people to rise up against the challenges that we’re facing on a big scale

Richard Silverman was a native of Baltimore and grew up in New York. He graduated from New York University in 1985 with a bachelor’s in Philosophy and film.

He was gifted with a blessed childhood because of his parents — his dad was his best friend, mentor and hero.

He strongly believes, ‘Nepotism is a good word if you can use relationships to carve your own path and do your own thing’.

Today, Richard Silverman is a seasoned professional with over 35 years of experience in various industries. He has a remarkable career trajectory in hospitality, food and beverage, events, sports, entertainment, digital, and specialty retail.

After graduation, Silverman initially entered the entertainment industry, managing artists like George Michael, Prince, and collaborating with prominent songwriters.

In 1996, Silverman ventured into the food and beverage industry, collaborating with renowned restaurateur Phil Romano to expand EatZi’s Gourmet Markets. His immersion in the hospitality industry continued in 2001 when he played a pivotal role in repositioning and selling the Aladdin Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas.

Transitioning to the Grand Sierra Resort in Reno in 2007, Silverman executed a remarkable turnaround, elevating it from the 12th to the 2nd ranked property in Northern Nevada within six months.
