The famous speech entitled The Ballot or the Bullet by Malcolm X 58 years ago challenged Black people to recognize that the political parties were not for them. The same holds true today. Not a damn thing has changed.

This event has so many layers for Black folks. The intergenerational trauma is overwhelming.

Why do White folks feel so much empathy for Ukraine and could care less about bombings of Palestinians or Yemen or Somalia? Jussie Smollett gets put in jail or court time for nonsense but the killers of Breonna Taylor never get charged? Give me a break!
