    About this Episode

Today I discuss something that has been bothering me. I read an article about the New York City school district making a Vegan only lunch on Fridays. Why in the hell are they doing this to kids? Well... the true reason we may never know, but this is something that should not be happening and parents should be outraged over. Leave these type of decisions to the parents. The schools/county should not be making these type of decisions for our children.
Give the episode a listen and read the article and let me know what your thoughts are? I hope you enjoy my rant and thank you for listening.

Finding your Passion with Karen Hudson

    Raising unpicky eaters

    Raising unpicky eaters

As a society we have lost touch with our food. When I say that I mean we have lost touch with the understanding of were our food comes from and what really goes into putting meat and vegetables on your plate. We have stopped putting in the hard work required to raise, hunt, and grow our own food. We have stopped showing our children the true meaning of the food chain and circle of life. A lot of children don't even know how hamburgers are made.
In today's episode we talk about kids in the kitchen, lessons learned from the kitchen and how to raise unpicky eaters. Make sure to sign up for our membership at www.sizzlinarrow.com and follow us on instagram. Enjoy!

    Kids and Gun Safety!

    Kids and Gun Safety!

As a parent - one of our biggest responsibilities is insuring our children are safe.Unfortunately, we can not always be with our children to protect them. So, we need to make sure they are raised properly and understand how to avoid dangerous situations if at all possible. We also need to make sure they know the difference between right and wrong. That way they don't put them selves or others in danger.

In todays episode we discuss the growing trend in our community of children taking guns to school, our opinions of how to avoid this, what to do at home, and other topics as well.

This is a touchy subject for a lot of us and I know that my opinions are not going to resinate with some and that's okay. I hope you enjoy the episode and find our opinions helpful or insightful.

Into the Fire with Martin Seck of Panda Bear Forge

Into the Fire with Martin Seck of Panda Bear Forge

Being able to make something out of nothing is a valuable and impressive skill to have. Especially when that skill is making a useful tool (such as a knife) out of hard steal.

Blade smithing has been around for many, many years and it is an amazing craft. With the type of work I do knifes play a very important role in my day to day operations and I have grown to really appreciate the craftsmanship and detail that goes into high end knives.

My guest today has mastered this craft and has made some really stunning knives over the years. Martin Seck owner of Panda Bear Forge is a local North Carolina blade smith who has taken his skills to Forged in Fire during season 8 of the show. During our conversation we discuss blade smithing, Forged in Fire, martial arts, bow making and much more. I know you are going to enjoy this conversation just as much as I did.

Life Lessons from the field (Negative Talk)

Life Lessons from the field (Negative Talk)

We all do it! We are all guilty! We all talk down to ourselves and put ourselves in a less than favolable mental position from time to time. This negative talk can push us forward, but it can also drag us down into the mud if we let it. That is what happened to me this year and man it sucks.
In this conversation, we talk about how negative talk hinders your performance, why it is important to know when to call it quits and the power of flexibility.  I hope you all enjoy the conversation and hope this helps some new hunters out there.
Lastly here are a few affiliate links, in case you are looking for a new firearm. You will understand why this is there, if you listen to the whole episode. Cheers!
