    Vous imaginez faire remarcher une personne paraplégique, lui offrir les sensations qu’il a perdu, ou qu’il n’a jamais eues ?

    C’est le pari réussi de Nicolas Simon et son équipe Wandercraft, une startup qui a créé cet exo squelette.

    Ça semble incroyable, pourtant ça existe et c’est déjà même commercialisé.

    Comment ça marche ?

    La personne enfile cet exo squelette comme un pantalon. Immédiatement, la machine lui permet de garder sa verticalité, et surtout de faire tous les mouvements des jambes qu’une personne valide peut faire : marcher, reculer, monter des escaliers, un pas de côté… et bientôt danser. 12 moteurs par jambe plus une télécommande permettent de rendre à ces personnes extraordinaires, souvent courageuses une vie ordinaire


    La famille de Nicolas Simon souffre d’une maladie proche de la maladie de Charcot, qui paralyse les membres. Depuis tout jeune, Nicolas s’est lancé le defi d’aider les personnes qui ne peuvent plus marcher à se déplacer.

    C’était inconcevable, presque impossible, et pourtant toute l’équipe de Wandercraft a travaillé d’arrache-pied, pour rendre l’impossible possible.


    Le premier produit s’appelle Atalante, et est destiné à la ré-eduction. Le deuxième qui arrive bientôt sera Eve, et sera destiné au grand public. Plus léger, moins cher, il pourra être porté tous les jours pour permette aux personnes handicapées de retrouver une vie « presque » normal.

    Wandercraft, c’est beaucoup de tech, beaucoup de recherche, d’intelligence, et quel plaisir de voir la joie d’une personne en fauteuil se déplacer.


    Tout au long de l’épisode, Nicolas revient sur son parcours, la création de Wandercraft, c’est passionnant.
