    005. It's Not Failure, If you Learned Something: Life Update + What's Next for Ecobabe Collective

    enSeptember 12, 2023

    About this Episode

What do you do when you feel like a complete failure? Do you give up? One of my favorite insights from my training at Unleash the Power Within with Tony Robbins was when he said "It's only failure, if you didn't learn something".

In today's episode, I am getting back on the proverbial podcast horse and sharing a life update and what the future holds for the Ecobabe Collective brand and podcast. Today's episode is really personal for me and I share a lot of what I have been thinking and feeling as a content creator and why I hit the brakes on my business back in April.

Thank you so much for being here and for supporting me on this journey through all of its ups and downs.

    Trigger Warning

I will be discussing pregnancy loss for roughly 5 minutes at the beginning of this episode and wanted to give you all a heads up in case this may not be something you are comfortable disucssing right now. I promised myself that when I created this podcast that I would be as open and transparent with you all rather than just sharing the highlights of my life so I wanted to be open about my experience in case it helps even one person feel a little less alone.

    004. Is Regenerative Organic Agriculture the Future of the Beauty Industry?

    004. Is Regenerative Organic Agriculture the Future of the Beauty Industry?

Presented by Davines - This podcast is presented by Davines, a B Corp Certified brand that I love and use on a daily basis. All opinions are my own.

Welcome to Ecobabe Collective, Where Sustainability and Style Collide. Today's episode is all about the differences between regenerative organic agriculture and sustainable beauty - two terms that often get thrown around, but can be a little confusing. So if you're like me and you love taking care of yourself and the planet, but you're not quite sure what these terms mean, then you're in the right place. We'll be exploring the ins and outs of each term, breaking down what they mean and how they're different. Because when it comes to choosing products (especially ones that we put on our face) and supporting practices that are good for the earth and for us, knowledge is power!

Support the mission and research when your purchase the WE/STAND for Regeneration Body Wash and Grow Beautiful tote bag. You guys, listen up! Ecobabe Collective listeners get a complimentary tote bag with the code ECOBABE23 when you spend 75+ and the tote bag is a $45 value on the us.davines.com website.

Live more sustainably and look chic doing it with the Grow Beautiful tote bag made completely of ingerdients sourced from regenerative organic agriculture! I use my tote bag to run daily errands like grab groceriers or take Zoë to the library.  This offer is valid through May 31, 2023.

Here's my routine: I use the WE/STAND body wash, and the Oi Shampoo and Conditioner a few times a week then the Heart of Glass treatment since I color treat my hair and the Hair Refresher dry shampoo to extend my blowouts. These are all my personal go-to's after all the different products I have tried from their line.

How to Create Your Own Skincare Routine Using Different Brands + How to Layer Each Step Like a Pro

If you are new to skincare all of the different brands and options out there can feel extremely overwhelming. How do you mix different brands and products without going overboard? Do you really have to buy every single product in a skincare line to maximize effectiveness? I'm here to tell you, absolutely not.

For so long, I let skincare brands tell me what to put on my skin, rather than taking some time to google different brands and ingredients for myself. That is what this episode is all about. I wanted to share the why behind some of the key ingredients to look for in different products as well as how to build a skincare routine based upon your specific skincare needs rather than a one size fits most option.

As promised in the episode, I wanted to link the products discussed in the episode. If you choose to purchase one or more of these products I make earn a tiny affiliate commission. If there are brands you want me to connect with and get discount codes for, make sure to send me a DM at @jessicacobabe or @ecobabecollective and I will see what I can do! xx

How to Shop Secondhand Like a Fashion Stylist + Thrifting Tips for Beginners with Ecobabe Collective Founder, Jessica Cobabe.

If you are new to thrifting you won't want to miss this solo episode!

Thrifting is one of my first loves, I have been shopping secondhand for more than a decade and even styled some of my very first editorial photoshoots with secondhand pieces I scored at Goodwill.

I wanted to create this episode for anyone who may be intimidated by the idea of Thrifting. Maybe you've tried to get into it before and it wasn't your thing. Maybe the idea of it kind of interests you but simultaneously grosses you out. Today I am sharing my tried and true tips for thrifting and shopping secondhand like a pro! xx Jessica
