Hello, this is Joe. Welcome to the Mundy Vault. In this episode, James, our editor is just putting whatever old it's out randomly. I don't know if it's going to be any good or shit. But that's the chances you take. Some of them from the past are a bit. Anyway, cheers.
Hi. Hi. Hi. My mic's still not working so I'm feeling that up so I'm going to be close to it. How are you? Hello. Can you hear this?
No, this is I'm counting to a hundred feet. This is a hundredth episode. Oh, is it?
Oh, happy century. Yeah, I know. Well, I know. Oh, well. Yeah, we had a review. Hang on. Get ready to have some fun. Count to 100 by one. Get ready to exercise and count. Stretch your arms.
Oh, that's not what we're going for. How many? 20? Yeah.
24, 25, 26, 27, 28, 29, 30, 32 arms circles, 31, 32, 33, 34, 35, 36, 37, 39, 40 shoulder shrugs, 41, 42, 43, 44, 45, 46, 47, 48, 49,
Fucking love the sort of drum feel in between.
I'm not sure this camera, it ain't even big. I'm up to 49. 81, 82, 83, 4, and 10.
Ninety-one, ninety-two, ninety-three, ninety-four, ninety-five, ninety-six, ninety-seven, ninety-eight, ninety-nine, one hundred! Again! Don't tempt me, you're fucking well. It's already wood. That was perfect. Cheers. How much time did that feel? Three and a half minutes.
Yeah. Now, interestingly enough... Is it as interesting as that? Yeah.
Wolf now had their birthday this week. How many have they done? About seven or so. Well, it's like a year they've been doing it a year, so they've done like 75 episodes or whatever. I don't know. I don't know. I don't know. I don't know. But I was like, oh, right. Very interesting that you've got your birthday in just before hours. Yeah. Again. So anyway, Tom put up this, and I was listening to the, like,
Like, they've got a producer, absolutely no question they've got a producer. And I don't know what this is. They're both busy. I don't know. Well, we're all busy. I know, but like... How do you know they're busy? They might not be busy. They're busy. Well, you're busy as well. You're busy as well. Yeah, doing this fucking shit. Fucking bollocks. Right. Listen to the thing they put up.
88, 89, sit the side. One year. Fresh Prince goes up there. Welcome to the Wolf and our podcast. What wish I could eat from top papers inside the wrap, wrap, wrap, wrap. Someone's made a song when I get caught.
Basically scratching little things that happen. An hour, hour shite. Well, are they scratched like little clips from the show? Yeah. Right. So like obviously it sort of chose the intro because it was a bit short. But listen to that, I was like, I don't want it to be short. I want it to be good. So how is this?
Yeah, it's a bit... What do I think when I hear it? I fucking want to skip the bugger. Dead. Dead, dead. No, right. I mean, I like it. It sort of fits with the show. No, it does. But it did sort of depress me. Well, do you want to hear the opposite of that? I've just got sent from someone I know on Facebook. And they sent me this. This is from Sam.
hero. You've got some heat. Shanks is a big fan. And he sent me this link to a podcast called Flats and Shanks. Now I saw that. Yeah. So you don't want me to play? No, I've heard it. Okay. I heard it. Yeah, I've heard it. Apparently there are ex-rubby players on me. I don't know. Well, that was my thing. I'd set up, but she
Oh, yeah, I've heard it about three. Well, I can listen to it. No, no, no, no, no, because it's also meant for them, isn't it? Out there. But no, no, not going to, no, no. You said, have you heard it when, yeah, yeah, yeah, I heard it. Cool. Cool. Cool. Cool. Cool. Cool. Cool. Cool. Cool. Cool. Cool. Cool. Cool. Cool. The only other thing I've bought is for about 15 minutes this morning, I wanted to be Gary Kemp.
What from Spandare Belly? What, in what way? I just saw a picture of him on Instagram and I was just like, I don't know, he's in a studio with his guitars and he looked fantastic, 60 years old. He's got a very... Just a great life. He's got a very nice relationship with his son, who's a radio 1 DJ, I believe. What, Gary Kemp's son? Yes. Which one's Gary? He's the songwriter.
Martin was the guy that was in EastEnders. Oh, maybe it's Martin, then. OK. All right. But still, they're happy. And I'll tell you what his podcast is brilliant. Gary Kemp's podcast, Rock and Tearz. Rock and Tearz. Rock on Tearz. Rock on Tearz. I think shout out to Rock. What's that again? Rock on Tearz.
You know, I've had a word I can't say. You know, Julio Iglesias. Oh, Iglesias, is that it? Iglesias? Yeah, Iglesias. Yeah. Julio Iglesias. It's been driving out the wall for about three days.
Julio in glaze in. I've been getting the in wrong. Is it in? What have you been saying? In glaciers. Right. In... Is this in not going out? Is this in your...? Well, it's not one of my lines, it's someone else's lines. But... Right. I was like, just looking at it and I went, Julio in glaciers. Yes.
Oh, right. Someone else is lying. It's only could be going on in my head. So how's the rehearsals been? Do you feel like you've got the lines in your head? Yeah, I do. I was thinking, does anyone give a shit that I'm doing? I don't know if they'd... I'm suddenly like... I don't know if it is like a big behind the curtains. Well, I'm interested in... But do you think that... Because it's a studio sitcom. Yeah. I don't know if they are or if they're not fast forward.
So you got the big night and Friday night two nights away today I'm staying in that hotel you remember the hotel you stayed in after life in you know the by the roundabout
It's like, I don't want to say the name of it, I'll text you, but it's got these sort of outhouses. Oh, I know we, we're the big drive. Yeah. The sort of, yeah, the big. I walked around the area. Yes, I know what you mean. Yeah, I'm sorry. I think I'm in the same. So rehearsals, rehearsals. Rehearsals on set today. Right, if this was your sitcom, how would you be feeling? Like, would you go, we've got a great little episode here. This is going to, they're going to piss themselves.
If I was Lee, he knows this inside out. I was like, this is as close as you can get to be confident. Like he's done 12 series. He knows it inside out. It's got the proper structure. Do you look at the scripts and go? Yeah, I know. There's a lot of jokes in here. Yeah, but also he knows how to make it, you know, like the structure of a proper sitcom where... Oh, shit.
Can't hear what you're saying. Oh, bollocks. Sorry. Yeah. And is any of it loose for the knot or is it all tight? Tight. Yeah. Really tight, like, shut the door there and... Yeah. Who's directing it? Well...
It's a guy called Martin and Jamie are kind of doing it with Lee. They obviously know it so well. OK, let's get to the... Do you think we could write a studio sitcom or we're not capable? No, you're in it.
Actually, you all have a better idea Friday, won't you? But anyway, go on. No, but I think I know what it is. Like, I'd love to try. But it's like, it's got... I was like going, oh, right, there's lots of... There's lots of work in the script to go. Oh, right, that's sitting up there. Oh, yeah, yeah, that's... He's made that a joke, but we need that. Because that'll pay off there. And it's like... And it's like, oh, right, yeah, this is all done in three...
Three places as well. It's like a flat a cafe. Oh, yeah three sets. Yeah. Yeah has to be Any exteriors. Yeah, we did some exteriors. Yeah We've already filmed those. Yeah So it's an exterior and two sets basically. Oh really? Yeah
So what are the two sets, his flat? And a campaign. Fuck me. Jesus, that limit's you, don't I? Yeah, it does. And you go... Oh my God. My thing is they fucking know this shit so well. But they didn't. No, series one. I know, I know. But little things, like I said to you about going and doing it in a theatre, I was like, God, you know, they read the scripts out, and then they rewrite them, and then they... Fuck. When did you know when he started writing this series?
No, I can find out, but... Is it like two or three of them? No, he's done this on his own. He's written it on his own? He usually works with someone, but I know this actual script he did on his own, this one, I don't know if he did this. Right, right. I mean, we've always sort of thought about studio sitcom, but... I was like, you know, I was thinking about like our cowboy one, and I was like, it doesn't have the same...
and sort of sitcom structure like it's not as good a structure as Lee's because there's like a big reveal and lots of tension because we set up this misunderstanding and stuff like that you know what I mean and you go oh that's it and this understanding could happen because of that and you're like oh right that didn't just happen you know what I mean it's like fucking hell
but I think it's um there's probably formulas that you just hide or whatever obviously they may probably not. I'd love to get Lee on here to chat about it. I did actually years ago I said about you know only advice about writing sitcoms. I sent him an email and he said read as many books about sitcom writing as you can which I thought we're sort of done that now.
Still quite a baffling, but yeah, it's it's really I do have that thing now that that is a lot of work to get right and I think I'd feel flat as a pancake after that recording Yeah, well then but then you got to go and do it again on them You get Sunday. We get Saturday off Sunday start looking at the script again Monday. You're off again. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah, you know what I mean? That's a big that's a big really up down down
But I guess at the end of the series Christ, there's so much work to get out to work to them. Yeah, imagine like you've got your commission, you go right, we've got six and Chris is special. Oh my God, is that how many episodes he's got in the series? I think so, yeah, I presume so. And I know that's Christmas, isn't it?
See, basically, you haven't come away going right. We're right in a studio sitcom. No, I'd love to. Yeah. But it's hard, and you go, well, but I think it would be a really good challenge. And also, who wants one, really? Well, they have the biggest audience, who's don't they? Yeah, there's lots and lots and lots of jokes. Lots. But he then, he does have, like, people punching up the scripts. Yeah.
But I was like, there are a lot. There's a lot of them. And it's quite... I imagine it's every other line with him, almost. Yeah, no, it is. It really is. And then, but it's like getting there, then making the set-up lines funny.
Yeah, exactly. So you kind of go, right. And then there's a few where you go, all right, that's just a line to get into that. But there's not that many where it's just like, I'm sorry to hear that sort of line. It's usually sounds like bloody hell. You see why it's been a success. It's clear.
knows what it is. We've got Vivian on to take over. I doubt it. I've emailed me in, but it's fucking caught past over. When did you email him? Well, like 10 to 8, I said that. He might come on, but I imagine he's fast. That's an easy time. Well,
I can't wait to hear what it's like on the night. If you can make a name, I'll be able to record any you'll be. What? Where you'll be in the zone, why you won't want to fucking record. Do you want me to record how I'm feeling? How you're feeling, it's just the atmosphere, the audience sort of... Well, I'm interested, it's like today, how I'm going to feel, because today's
You go and you do it on the set because it's been in like a scout hut. Have you been in the not going out set yet? No. Fantastic. Oh wow! Well you know there's a picture of Bobby Bull up. Oh it's there. Yeah. Because he played Lee's dad didn't he? So I'll have a look at that. But yeah I'm hoping that makes me cover but I might make me go the other way.
and go. The thing is, they're going to get a good performance out of you on the night, whatever, because if you get it rolling, just do it again. Yeah, and it's quite interesting, like, talking to Hugh, it's like, because in my head I've got it like it's a play where you just run through and then, you know, it's all very bitty. I think so, yeah, but by what Hugh was saying. And it's weird, because I was talking to Abby, how quite Dan's sister, who's in it.
And she was saying, because I was like, God, I feel such a, like, if it was ours, I'd feel such a responsibility to the audience. Like, because they obviously see another take and another take. And then I was like, Oh, God, I hope they still have him fun. But you know, you can't. Have you ever seen a studio sitcom being filmed? No, not in the audience. What did you know? I have. What did you want? Do you remember King Canoot?
It was a Rick Mail sitcom. Fucking hell, yeah. How did you need to go? Yeah, it was about 15, 16 years ago. And, yeah, it was written by Marx and Grant. The birds were further men. Yeah, yeah. And, yeah, it's really bitty. Really bitty. And did people get things wrong? And, you know... Did you go, like, what would there have been a point where you'd have to be left loads early? Oh, yeah. Yeah, yeah.
Yeah. I remember a TV panel show pilot I did about eight years ago. And when you're in the audience for stuff, there's a sort of weird, you know, it's like that thing where people say you put a higher vis on and you can just tell people what to do. It's really like that in a studio, TV studio, people, they sort of say, oh, you can't go to the loo and you can't leave and people just go, can you not?
So we're doing this pilot and pilots of new shows tend to go on for hours longer than like if you do recording of how I got news for you the whole things like an hour and a half because it's so Yeah, the whole things like drill because they know it inside out
So it just, this show's been going like 30 years or whatever. So they just know what they're doing. But when you do a pilot, they kind of don't know what they're doing. And they try like loads of rounds that they don't want to end up using. Oh God yeah. So we're doing this, I'll text you a bit of information about it in a minute. But they're doing this pilot. And it was going on and on and on. And
Big audience watching. Yeah, like 500. Well, what was it called? He can't tell you. No, I can't. I can't remember either. Right. But, um, let's say do these little non-poor course ones. Anyway, so honestly, I think it ended up being like four and three quarter hours or something.
And at one point someone got up to go and they went, oh you can't leave and he went, well, I am. Well, you can't, and they shot me. No, he went, I am. And they went, well, you actually can, obviously, because you're not a prisoner. And he left and everyone else went, oh you can leave.
And there was this mass exodus, about three hours ago. God, that sounds like one of my gigs. It was so funny. And I'd say from 500, there was maybe 70 left.
They just all went, and it was really funny to watch. And I just remember someone saying to me, oh god, they don't do a panning shot. You know, they cut the audio. So there was the slide. It was, I'll text you what it was. So you had, obviously you had funny people on the show. Why didn't it work? Because the game didn't work. Oh, it just wasn't. Yeah, it didn't work on the, you know, just some things that were, I'll text you what it was.
hundredth episode of Chatterbix. We've been going now for around about six months and it's been lovely having you on board the Chatterbix bus. I'm currently getting merch designed for Christmas. So if you like a t-shirt with a Chatterbix on board, then please watch out for those links on Twitter and Instagram. I thought that was a bunch of different websites here.
Oh, really, really, really. We go to the second night of the walk. So Joe sent me the pilot. Don't read it. No, I won't. No, who is fronted by? Oh. Yeah.
Really fuck. Yeah, that's where I got an attack seat Last week a black cab and was chatting to you. I really liked him anyway He mentioned him. Oh, yeah, any any went nah Do you know that I went well? No, I don't know, but you know, yeah, he's good. Nah one trick pony. Oh Really? Yeah, I'm not surprised, you know
All right. Yeah, dismiss his whole career 20 years. Nah, nah. Oh, no, it's kind of really good. There's that, you know, it's dad-ups hard, so he's actually what he's done. Pretty good, actually. Nah. All right.
He recognised you then. He did actually. Do you know what he did? Right, do you know what he did? I'm pretty sure this happened. I was just thinking then, did it happen? I'm pretty sure it happened. I know you. Oh really? One of those, yeah, yeah, yeah. You an actor. Oh, I thought he meant you. Don't pick up that. Oh, this is great because he's unraveling so that he doesn't know he's about to.
Oh, I'm not really, you know. What have I seen you in there? Have you seen after that? That's it, after life. Did you play that? You died as a fantastic character to do that. Do you do eight out of ten cats? No, I don't do eight out of ten fucking cats.
God who do I have someone said to me the other day? Oh, hey, oh, you're right. Oh, yeah, can I get a photo? I said, oh, yeah, sure he goes. I've bloody loved Pete show What he thought was fucking super hands. Oh, really? And I was like, I don't even pour all of them. I didn't like him. I fucking know I had to just nod along go. Oh, yeah, no, good, isn't it?
Yeah, it's perfect. I don't feel a bit uncomfortable about these little ionic dates. Oh no, it's horrible, isn't it? Can we delete it? Yeah, well, yeah, fucking, oh my god. Yeah, I did. There was a sort of silence behind the toolkit, if you don't know. God, there he is now. Well, that's the hundredth episode.
Honestly, I had fucking hated that. Well, this cut it out. If there's one person that went, oh, for God's sake, listen to me. Oh, my God.
Yeah, I want to think about that on the cap journey over to the poem. If you heard, listen to the end of the 100, actually. Take it out, take it out. What happens? Oh, they do this. The one, the fucking one who's, yeah, I know the one you mean, he talks about getting in a cab and someone recognising it. Of course he does, because I only have five months. Do you know what I was relieved in that story? I was relieved it was you.
In January I went, oh god. Oh, fuck. Yeah, and then I added to it, what prick. Oh dear. On that bottom, Cheryl. I only, honestly, only brought it up to get to the other comedians. That's all right. No, he's not done. No, it's not. And even this now carrying on is like milking it, I'm going.
Backing out. 100, every Sunday. She's brutal. I genuinely feel a bit sick, but not even in front of you. What are you doing? What are you reading? Oh no, I just saw a thing from the NHS and I was like, what the fuck I thought I might have had to have done something. And on the 100th episode, Joe has cancer. Don't say that.
Oh my god. Gee whiz. Matching that. No, no, no, no, no. Just about sum up this fucking series. No, don't take that. Jesus quacked. Oh, you'll get it at some point, one of us will. Fucking hellfire. Happy birthday, son. I was going to say Jesus worked. You're going to pop it. Okay, I don't want to be like Wolf for now.
Why can't we be like Wolf and L, because you just said one of us will get cancer. Fucking hell. Oh, dear. Fucking... Well, great time to have an absolute lull. A little low point in the series. Oh, well, I'm going to... Oh, no Vivian. Oh, well, I'm going to cut this together and then... Oh, we've got Joe tomorrow. I don't know.
Well, do you want to email him? I can't be fucked to all the producers inside. I'm shattered. Oh, I'm happy to do it. Can you say I haven't got his email, have I? Oh, I'll talk to you about it now. Might as well. Well, should we come off and then talk about it? Yeah. Bye, everyone. Bye.
