into the new year. We are a little over a week and a half into the Trump administration and people are trying their best to figure out how everything that has built up over the last four years, all the incompetence and all the problems that have been created inside government and out are the fault of the guy who took over a week and a half ago. We'll dispel all of that nonsense as we move through the program today. It is the fastest hour of radio anywhere on your radio dial. It is news and news. I am Dale Jackson. We'll talk about this all.

They're protesting its immigration in Alabama. There's all sorts of stuff going on. And of course, we will bring all of that to you. And I want you to focus on this for a second.
four years, they focused on garbage, diversity, DEI and all this other stuff. And now a week and a half and there the media has finally decided to start focusing on covering what the government is doing in a way they haven't for years. We'll mention that a bunch today. So stay tuned. It will get all that here saying before we get into the seven things you should be talking about today. Let me remind you about one thing and one thing only.

Talk to these guys today. It can be very happy that you did. Of course, make sure you tell them that Dale Jackson sent you and you heard about it right here on news and views. All right. Let's get to it. It is time for the Austin duplicated never replicated.
The most critically acclaimed segment here on News and News brought to you by Alabama's most trusted journalist. It's the seven things you should be talking about today. The seven things you should be talking about today. Number seven. Montgomery Mayor Stephen Reed denounced an order to the removal of a controversial billboard that featured a powerful, bloody Sunday image
With Make America Great Again superimposed on it. Yeah. So, uh, yeah. Uh, make sure you continue to give the Montgomery Museum of Fine Arts taxpayer dollars. Hey, just making this. This is how you put yourself in the firing line of legislators who have had enough of this crap. He argued that such historical moments should unite us rather than divide communities. He's right.
The ideas we learn from those moments, and we don't use them as political pawns in our modern, petty politics, and that's exactly what they're trying to do here. Shame on them. The backlash brought the museum and the city's cultural affairs department to a point where they pledged to review processes to prevent similar instances in the future. Please, they did this on purpose. It wasn't an accident. Number six, the Trump administration's recent email offering federal
The workers, a deferred resignation, is causing problems inside the federal government. So one person is even suing them saying he shouldn't be allowed to email them. It's a violation of his privacy, which is, oh my god, please take the bio, you morug. But...
This is causing some issues because many people are misinterpreting it and saying that it's a coercive ultimatum. They're grappling with deep mistrust and confusion. Suspecting that this can be the last chance to leave with some financial security before potentially more drastic measures are implemented to reduce government size. Doesn't sound like you're misunderstanding it at all. Sounds like that's exactly what they're saying. Because we're going to try to cut some of this government. You can go on your own or you can get a little bit of a shove.
So there's a little bit of a panic, but I don't think there's an actual panic. I don't think many people are going to take them up on this. And we'll see what happens. Should be fun to watch. You have to February 6th. Number five. Alabama professors, students and the ACLU, the Americans in the Liberty Union, are suing to block Senate Bill 129. A law that bans DEI programs and restricts teaching and device and concepts.
in the state, arguing it violates constitutional free speech and due process rights. This I love, by the way. The plaintiffs, including University of Alabama professor Cassandra Steinman, who admits to breaking the law. Love it. Good luck. I hope you win your court case. Otherwise, you're going to find yourself in a pretty bad place. Content that enforces educators to self-sensor and deprive students of critical academic discussion.
I wonder if she would be in favor of other professors being fired and if her teaching things she didn't disagree or she disagree, I bet she would. This law will be upheld and this Cassandra Simon professor will either come online or she can go to. Who? Who?
number four Alabama State Representative and Oliver Republican Dave Mill called for an investigation into the Magic City Acceptance Academy. You know the place where they help kids who are LGBTQ plus IA ampersand exclamation mark get
Accepted by separating them from society and putting them in their own little special school where they say, oh, you're gay? What if you were super gay? Like, maybe that's what we should do. We'd have drag queens and all sorts of stuff. Yeah, it's something a great idea. Well, here's the funny thing. The school itself probably is a violation of state law.
And those things are going after it. And they should. This is a terrible idea. There should not be a gay school. That's just dumb. The state should not be paying for it. And we absolutely are to the tune of millions of dollars every year for this. Now, I think they're coming for this school and they absolutely should. But there's going to be a big fight over this and I'm here for it. Number three.
Protesters in Albertville took to the streets to protest President Trump's immigration policies the other day. And they also were upset about ICE enforcement, and they were really saying, look at us. There's illegals here. Come here. Look at us. We're illegals. Come and get us. That's what they were essentially saying.
Well, lots of people in Alabama not too happy about this, especially the chance talking about all sorts of crazy stuff about how you can't be illegal on stolen land or some nonsense. I just don't get the argument. I've come into your country illegally, but you shouldn't be here anyway, so it's fine.
It's tough. Lieutenant Governor Will Aesworth voiced his support for Trump's immigration actions, emphasizing the need to uphold border security nationwide. U.S. Representative Robert Adderhold of Haley Hill. He spoke out as well and condemned to the anti-ice protest in Albertville and said basically, hey, look, this is their role. There's what they're supposed to be doing. He supports the crackdown as well. Let's go. Let's get over there and take care of this mess there. Number two.
A fatal mid-air collision between an Army Black Hawk helicopter and American Airlines regional jet over Washington, BC, left all 67 passengers dead with an FAA report revealing abnormal air traffic control staffing at the time. The controller managing the helicopters was also overseeing runway traffic, so the two things that caused this were being overseen by two people when it should have been just one.
excuse me my one person when it should have been too there's also some reporting now this morning that shows that the person who was in charge of one of these things left early so I think we're fighting the issue here is a maybe a management issue on that site but we'll see what happens and the controller was directing those helicopters was also instructing planes that were landing the part of those runways these two situations collided and became a deadly crash and the investigation is ongoing
And it's a true sad situation all the way around. And now time for the number one thing you should be talking about today. But in wake of the tragic plane in helicopter collision, in Washington, the ridiculous, unhelpful nature of Washington, the sea is coming into light.
Why? Because the blame game. Yep. President Donald Trump sparked another overblown controversy by suggesting that previous diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives at the FAA couldn't be partially to blame. What was he doing? Well, he was speaking very, I would say, off top of his head, and he was answering questions, something the Biden administration never did, and he was speaking extemporaneously. And I think people took him out of context. Personally, I think he's asking the question, was this the issue? And he said, it could be.
So we have to do the investigation. This is an controversy, but the blame game is absolutely odd. They're trying to do the whole without evidence thing at this point. But there have been pushes to lower standards for air traffic controllers, which if you ask somebody about this, guess what they're gonna say? Guess what they're gonna say? They're gonna say we probably shouldn't do that.
I mean, that's it. That's what I'm going to say. We probably should not do that. So there have been pushes to lower the standards. That's true. Now, Trump wasn't the only one out there, quote unquote, baselessly, end quote, throwing things around. Congresswoman Cindy Kalimagar.
Democrat of California blamed his administration for fostering incompetence. It's been 10 days. This is ridiculous. And CNN's McCarty Sellers is now walking back earlier, comment, technology, and politics should not play a role in the aftermath of such tragedy after he got his little hand slapped for blaming the Trump administration and Donald Trump himself for this and tons of people out there doing that.
As the investigation continues, the debate over DEI policies and federal hiring and their potential impacts on aviation safety remains a contentious topic and a debate that we should have. We should have a conversation about this. And yes, DEI is an issue. Listen, if you're in favor of diversity, equity, and inclusion, and I mentioned this yesterday, but I'm going to just repeat it again.
You are in favor of hiring inferior people for jobs over more skilled people because they are black, Hispanic, Asian, well not Asian. Get out of your Asians. You guys aren't any good anymore. Black, Hispanic, transgender, a woman or some other thing that they might have. And in this case, maybe a disability or something along those lines over people who could do the job better.
That's it. That's what you're in favor of. And there's no other way to cut it. Now, if all things are equal and you choose the female transgender amputee who's morbidly obese, fine. If all things are equal and you do that. But if you set out to let's just, I'm going to use that. I'm going to pick something out of thin air that we know is the diversity higher, okay?
Kataji Brown Jackson on the Supreme Court. She is with diversity higher. How do we know this? Because as I've mentioned before, Joe Biden said, give me a list of black people. Not give me a list of qualified people and I'll pick someone on this list and I pick the black person. No, he said, give me a list of black people. That's what he did.
So that's a diversity hire. That's how it works. Now you want to toss that around and use it as an insult on the left and throw it around about almost everyone you disagree with. Fine, go ahead and do that. But the American people know what diversity hires is. Kamala Harris was a diversity hire. Katanji Brown Jackson is a diversity hire. Those are very clear. So you can pretend you don't understand it. That's on you, not on us. If you'd like to weigh in, you may absolutely do so right now. Talk about the seven things. Get a question in for 10 with him.
How do you do it? 205-545-995-0, get your thoughts in, get your comments in, get your questions in for Ted with him and we'll continue right here on the fastest hour of radio anywhere on your radio dial.
It is the fastest hour of radio anywhere on your radio dials news and views on Dale Jackson. We're gonna get into an interview a little later.
with a guy named David Weigel. You may have seen that byline in the Washington Post before. He is no longer working there. Works for a company called Seamaphore, which does some political coverage. He does a really good job of covering Democratic politics. I've had him on my show before. He's been in studio with me before when he was kind of looking at talk radio for a story. And there's a lot to discuss with him about what's happening with Democrats in their little retreat they're doing.
where they're trying to figure out who the chair of their party is going to be. It's a mess. And even left-leaning people realize that it's a mess. So it's kind of funny. So we'll talk with him about what he's viewing there. Before we do that though, I want to talk about some, some that I mentioned in the seven things and some of the comments in response to it. Donald Trump yesterday made a relatively flippant comment about DEI being a factor in this crash.
And again, it's probably fine for him to have that opinion. He's probably not the guy who should be voicing that opinion first and foremost because he is the president of the United States, but this is who he is. I mean, this is what people love that was what I like about him. He speaks kind of off the company's not prepared, but in situations like this, there's going to be a lot of people that are going to second-guess it, including his supporters. And I'm one of those, so I'm going to second-guess this.
It was a bad idea. Reporters, of course, pressed him on some of these matters, and he said other things. And as he said those things, the narrative changed from a horrific accident to Donald Trump says without evidence that there was a DEI-related helicopter accident, which is not true. It's not what he said. He said it's possible. Now,
They don't care about nuance. They never have cared about nuance. They're going to give Donald Trump the least charitable interpretation of whatever he says. You're going to get the least charitable interpretation. And I can't tell you this. I sit here and I listen to this and I find it to be
Uninteresting. I don't find this to be like him going crazy about DEI. He brings it up. He's asked about it. He pushes back on it. He talks about Biden and Obama changed policy and he put it back. A less DEI, less affirmative action, less lowering the standards. That creates a little bit of a problem. And they say that Donald Trump hates black people.
And I even saw that there was a plu-poo cartoon that said, sir, there was a plane crash and Donald Trump is like damn edwards. I mean, that's literally how they're pretending he talks. And that's not even remotely true. But it's the gist of what he's saying. That's what they're trying to tell you. And it's not the gist of what he's saying. What he's saying is we should have high standards. And that might have been a factor here. But he has to know that this is how they're going to do this. Now, again,
He's the president of the United States. He can speak these words into existence. He can do this. Okay, it's up. It is his right to say these things. Okay? And there's nothing wrong with that. He is allowed to say it. He can say it, and he's not even wrong. But he's got to be smart about this. He's got to be smart about this.
You've got to talk about this in a way that's respectful of the people who find themselves in a situation where they've lost loved ones. They're looking for comfort. Not sure what comfort the president can give. And you've got to reassure people that flying is safe. That's it! All this other stuff can wait. He wanted to do it right there, and he didn't even speak in extemporaneously. That's what he does.
And he talks about this, and now there's this hub of, you can say, well, who cares about this hub? We shouldn't care about it. Well, it changes the trajectory of what Trump's trying to do because it forces everyone to go into cleanup mode. I'm not even going to clean up over anybody. I think for myself, I think the DEI think is a problem across the board. No question about it. Huge problem.
But this is the time to talk about big mistake by Trump here. I think it's one of the first ones of this president. It's the little thing. Here's what a reporter asked him afterwards. Mr. President, the claims that you've made. Are you saying this crash was somehow caused by the result of diversity hiring? And what evidence have you seen to support those claims? He says, it just could have been. We have a high standard. We have a much higher standard than anyone else. And there are things where you have to go by brainpower. You have to go by psychological ability. In quality, psychological quality. It's a very important element.
These are various, they're various, very powerful tests that we put to use. And they were terminated by Biden. And by the way, my standard, that's the exact opposite. So we don't know. He's not saying it was DI. He's saying it could be. That's a quote. But don't expect them to use that nuance. I tell politicians all the time, tell the media what you want them to repeat. If you give them a bunch of stuff, they're going to take whatever they can to use it against you. And that's what they're doing here.
He's got to be smarter about this. But I also know that that's not going to happen. This is the world we're in. And we get a deal with it. That's fine. But this is what happens when this happens. The conversation used to burn it for a few days. We still need to find out what happened here. It looks like the Black Hawk just had a mistake. That's what it looks like. We'll be back right here on News of News.
It is the fastest hour of radio anywhere on your radio dial. Yes, it is news and views. I'm Dale Jackson.
And holy cow, we got a great gas coming up here in just a moment. David Weigel, Washington Post, formerly, of course, now a semaphore, a great political website that does a great job covering all sorts of different events. And I'll tell you, I don't agree with David Weigel on a lot of things, but his coverage of the meeting where the DNC chairs being discussed and will be voted on has been pretty good, mostly because it's just showing them to be completely out of touch.
and a little ridiculous. So we'll get into that here in just a minute. First, I'll get you questions in for 10 with him. You can do that right now. It is all very simple. You can get a minute. 205-545-9950. Talk or text, get those in there right there. We'll have a conversation with you about that when Tori joined us to read those out a little bit later here in the program on our way out the door this week into the weekend.
right now let's again check in with David Weigel good follow on Twitter at Dave Weigel and you can follow him there and learn all the stuff he's talking about but let's get with him David I got a question for you and it's maybe a little off topic of what we're going to discuss here but Donald Trump is talking about tariffs Mexico Canada
Two of our closest neighbors are two close neighbors. And here we go. He's talking about them. And I want to know, do you think on Monday, when I come back to this radio show, will there be tariffs in Mexico and Canada from the United States? Will they be in place? Or is Donald Trump bluffing? I don't know what we call a bluff. I'm going to see how Canada and Mexico respond to this.
That's what hasn't happened so far, right? Because that was the Columbia test. Are you actually going to let these lock into place a country that has not that many significant items made with the country with the things you would notice? They back down for now because they got what they needed. Canada, you've got the political dynamics there are very different. Canada, you've got a president who's term limited and is going to be there for five more years. Sorry, Mexico.
you have that canada you have an outgoing liberal government that that uh... i mean just for those gone is going to be a new leadership uh... but they are both worried about the economic impact it just that the political incentives for uh... chime on mexico uh... they're very different me and imagine if that you've got a link that president united states you have a link that president there uh... and you have a lot of but she does not have the warmth
that I'm low ahead with Trump is for everything I can tell. But everyone that's preferred, as far as leaders have preferred to figure out some sort of deal that prevents the tariffs, I think that that is the Trump goal. That's why also so many people in the business community, whenever Trump would say I'm going to raise these tariffs and Democrats would say that needs a point, if I have a percent price increase, while a lot of people in the business community said, yeah, we don't believe that. It doesn't negotiate that. You say a lot of things, and then they don't happen because somebody says,
and walk away from the table
uh... looking at what people in politics yell about this is that i'm looking at her but i can talk about okay let's talk about the thing that you wrote about that you wrote this year uh... on acts heavy rhetorical focus on diversity at today's d and c meetings real record scratch has trumpet administration on wise d i programs
And with ours confident that this stuff isn't electoral loser. I mean, I think that's a pretty fair way to put it. You go into talking and I look at this image of this picture you had and it has an MSNBC logo on it. So it's a panel there. Jonathan Capehart is the host of this thing and he's asking them, did racism and misogyny play a role in Vice President Harris's defeat? Everyone on the panel raises their hands. I mean, look, here's the deal.
Americans are bored with this angle, but Democrats are obsessed with it, especially the MSNBC wing of the party, and they just continue jumping into it. What's happening here? And how shocked are you that this is what is happening? Oh, not shocked, although, for the context here, Democrats of the election have remembered that the current chair of the party is leaving
on Saturday, there's going to be a new chair, there's going to be new people throughout these national party roles. And it has not been, as you might expect after a loss, but not been a sort of sharing of grievances about how Joe Biden blew it and should have dropped out earlier, or about how the party's taken on too many unpopular ideas about gender and race. It's not bad. It's really been about how do we message. So this form last night was a Georgetown University who was interrupted four times really by
climate change protesters uh... it was a study in how little has changed despite the law because yes they had msnbc streaming uh... with them with the with the party that give them some credit they stream every public meeting even even if they don't look good uh... and they had jen saki by the former uh... spokesperson to come on sanders come a lot of the former spokesperson k-part who's uh... i worked with them but at the post with him or on i was on news he was on op-ed
all fairly progressive people asking kind of progressive questions and a whole lot of conversation on democrats outside these meetings have been hey turned out at the country doesn't listen to us uh... should we go on the box we be going on the daily wire should we be going on joe rogan they were kind of inside the church talking to the talking to the usual priest uh... and the priest were not very helpful they were they were pushing them on the diversity question
which they're complicated but this is something the democrats russell but they they are that they still are the party that they can be you know now that that that they do they do get more votes for non-white non-white voters overall but they flip with that around the country uh... and they have not really reckoned with why they are defending the diversity programs of for rid of action uh... racial side even though there's a lot of evidence from this election that even non-white voters are kind of moving on from that none of the voters are not
block of people and he didn't look at look at the college admissions lawsuits uh... even applicants and black applicants have different interest uh... and yet democrats were just kind of stuck uh... not give them advice on how to read things but their conversation was really stuck on we do need more diversity we need to talk if it is we need uh... one of the questions that i pulled from the crowd uh... was which was sent over all the all the members was should be uh... add a new transgender role uh...
At the moment, we have a role for a transgender person in the party officially, and the seven of the eight candidates to run the party said yes, and only once that no. The one who said no was Bernie Sanders from the campaign manager, who said, yeah, I didn't think that breaking of these groups, these offices, breaking people down by their gender and race.
was actually helpful for the party at all, but he was one person out of eight. It makes you hit all the points that you need to hear right here, because this is exactly it. The American people have said enough of this crap. I mean, they'll listen to economic messages, they'll listen to messages about maybe how we should deal with foreign policy, they'll listen to stuff about Gaza and Israel, they'll listen to Ukraine and Russia, they'll listen to that kind of stuff. This, they've tuned out.
And it's mostly because, yeah, one of the reasons I think it is it's been so heavy handed. Like if I say publicly, like I get away with it in my job because my job is to talk about my political opinions and my views. But if I, let's say I was like a pop singer, which is a terrifying thought, but let's say I was and I said, man, you know, trans need a three year old is really, really weird. If I were to say that,
There would be an attempt to destroy my life over it, even though 75% of Americans, if not more, probably would agree that, you know what? It's a little weird to trans a three-year-old. But if you asked that question to that room you were in yesterday and said, hey, should three-year-olds be able to say that they're trans and we should live that way?
seven and eight would probably say yes you won't let a three-year-old decide what they're eating for dinner but you will let them decide what gender they are they might be ridiculous or is that a pretty good summarization of the issue well it's good summarization cuz they're they're not having a doubt discussion about things with that the by the administration did that people rejected that you are identified one of them so it it's not like trump came along and said i'm
I really hate some people, I'm going to start implementing these new rules and say we can't do this. He was reversing a bunch of policies Biden put in place that when it comes to how gender is treated differently, the idea of gender identity being treated differently than sex, what sort of operations could be covered. The Biden administration was sort of fighting, he member Rachel Levine, the transgender health advisor of the administration,
uh... she was pushing back and we know this from uh... discovery in the lawsuit pushing back against uh... at national organizations that said we should have some sort of limit on when you can have gender gender medicine uh... surgery drugs et cetera for minors the by position was don't set an age limit the trump position is let's do it and you're right to this is something this is not a a topic that people get into a room in all smile and shake hands about this is a very uh... this role emotional topic i mean if you seem to the town halls people come and talk about this you've got
parents crying from both ends the people who say they're their children are have gender dysphoria and are being prosecuted people who say you're telling my kid that you did not think of the whole issue but this is a really a really tense issue and the democratic response within well we know what our position is and we're not going to we're not going have a discussion but i have this force because because of the fences on the on the racial uh... quote of that would be quoted by all that same thing the by the restoration policy was
we're going to put racial equity as a goal in everything we do for highway funding for school for everything we do so we're going to go on this look at immigration as well
Yet another even where the American people have spoken very clearly. Donald Trump is enforcing immigration law the way Joe Biden could have. Joe Biden said he couldn't and the American people are going to be perfectly fine with this. And instead Democrats are standing with the people in Alberville, Alabama where there's a chicken plan and tons of illegals and they're saying out the street saying you can't do anything about us. You can't have what was in the line. I think no one's illegal on stolen land.
And the average America is like, shut up. We're done with this. And Democrats have jumped on board and said, hello, we're going to keep going down this path. Immigration, transgenderism, race, sex, all this other stuff. All these issues Democrats have kind of lost the plot and they don't want to go anywhere to change that. And here's my theory and you tell me if I'm wrong here to wrap this up. Are Democrats more afraid of joy read
or taren in i don't know what's a charlotte's bill north carolina who are they more afraid of uh... at the moment yet they're afraid of uh... for the progressive tastemakers they are for they are worried that if they did you had a couple people after the election sticker next out and say look we should be tolerant but maybe we should accept some limits on uh... people who went through the help you be doing people for and they were and thinking of concrete of congressman massachusetts got the congressman your
And they stopped talking about that because they got such pressure from the interest groups inside the party. So I'm not even saying, here, I've got the idea. I'm just trying to cover it. Here's how they should do it. But you're right. The people they're most responsive to are the ones saying, you got to be sensitive. This is insensitive. Don't bring that conversation up. If you back down on that, you are enabling fascists and you are hurting people. And we can't have any discussion whatsoever about that. It's a tough position for them to be in because, look,
there are a lot of public in the eight years ago who said gee the way down from talks about immigration politically bad for us uh... and they had it out and they they have one of the complete control of the government but it but it took it took them fighting in public and democrats are really nervous about fighting a public
And again, to mention this, they're also interested in fighting about things that aren't real, like Nazi salutes and things like that, where the American people are just like, good lord, this doesn't have any power over us. It's like calling people racist. A lot of us just tune this stuff out to the point where it's getting kind of ridiculous and nobody cares. That's what's happening.
That's what it's about. And I think David Wigle lays that out pretty well, although my particulars are probably a little different than his particulars. But I think we are generally on the same page there. But we appreciate David Wigle coming on the program and talking with us. We are about to wrap up the program. We're about to jump into 10 with him. If you'd like to jump here, here's how you do so. 205-545-995-0. Talk or text, get that in. Right now, Tory will ask those questions as we close out the week.
right here on the fastest hour of radio anywhere on your radio dial. You're listening to News and News with Dale Jackson.
It is the fastest hour of radio anywhere on your radio dial. We are getting through the weekend. We are ready to go and hit the ground run. And I hope everyone has a great weekend this weekend. I'm really looking forward to my weekend. We'll talk about that here in just a little bit, but it is 10 with him. There's 10 questions.
You get about 10 minutes. We try to get to 10. Sometimes we do. Most times we do not. We have Tory with us. Speaking of your questions right now, 205-545-9950. They get those questions in and we will try to answer as many of them as we possibly can. We call it 10 with him. It's time to answer the deep questions. It's 10 with him on news and news. He is I, I am him, a politics.

You got Tori here to ask the question. You guys ask him. So Tori, take it away. The best one probably ever. Why are you upset? Geez. Some more context would be great. I don't think you need context. Tori, you know this. This is just how I talk. I could be talking about anything. Like about the sourdough bread Tori made and it's going to be Tori. We really enjoyed it. It's going to sound like why are you mad about the bread if you say you like it. So yeah, I'm not upset, but I could see why you think I might be.
But give him a minute. He'll be upset in just a minute or two. That's true. Dale, are you taking Grant to see Dog Man this weekend? Okay, so it's funny you mentioned that. Grant's in a little reading competition right now and he's reading Dog Man. And I asked him a question. I was like, did the man or the dog die in this?
Because like, the premise of Dog Man is, a dog and a man are hurt, so they cut the dog's head off and put it on the man. So, one of them has to die. And I looked and I went to the origin, I tried to find it, they don't really get into it all, they just dismiss it. So, if you're a parent out there, please tell me whether or not the dog or the man dies in Dog Man, because they both can't control the body, right? Am I thinking too much about this story?
definitely. And I think they don't want you to really think too much into it because then otherwise it would not be a children's book in our movie. So let me ask Sydney real quick. Sydney, man or dog and dog man dies. They both die.
I don't think you should take Grant to see it then. But the answer is no, I'm taking my son to a much more kid appropriate thing. I'm taking him to the Royal Rumble, 60,000 people in Indianapolis, Indiana at the Lucas oil field. We got second level front row seats right in front of the entrance. It's going to be awesome.
That is gonna be pretty good. That works well with this next question. Dale being somewhat of a rustling man, I think they mean rustling rustling man and a basketball coach for your young son. Have you ever tried to teach the kids to do a slam down instead of a pick move?
Grant is a pretty good worker when it comes to professional wrestling. He can sell pretty well. He knows a lot about shoot elbows and work elbows. He knows how to sell an injury every now and then. I think sometimes it's not a good thing because he puts on an act. But no, listen, on the basketball court, I would just be happy if the other kids on the team could dribble. We're still in that phase, and I'm trying my best. So no wrestling moves are being taught to other children. Lots of basketball moves. I just wish they'd listened better.
We've got to manage our expectations for those kids. What percentage of public sector workers do you expect to risk their mortgages to get paid to relax till September? I don't think it's gonna be that many. It's not really a buyout. They just get to work until September from home.
They still got to work, though. I don't know. My guess is the ones that take this are the ones that refuse to go back to work, and the ones that are already slacking all so much that it will be like a vacation until September. That would be my guess. So, good riddance to bad rubbish, I guess, would be the same. I think this is probably a good thing, and I think they're being smart about it. But if I had to do a percentage, which was the question, I would put it at 3%. They said 5 and 10, I don't think they'd get there 3% of federal employees.
Why do illegal aliens have rights? Okay, so there's a court ruling that gives them some basic rights just by stepping foot on American soil. I do not agree with that. But at the same time, they're going to give it some rights. It's not like you just come into the country and we can just do whatever we want to them. So there's court rulings that say this. I disagree with a lot of it.
And it's one of the reasons they're able to work the system the way they do. We allow ourselves to get work. I mean, that's it. If we leave it up to interpretation, the courts always side with the bad guys. That's just reality of life. We have to understand that's why we have to be more clear about our laws and enforcing everything via executive order as we're learning. It can be very effective, but the next guy could just do nothing. And that's why we're in the situation we're in. We need actual laws passed that codify the stuff Trump's doing.
Should the right stop saying DEI and call it what it really is? Affirmative Action 2.0, the left drags us back into battles with already won by rebranding the issue. I kind of disagree with this. DEI is sort of a modern twist on Affirmative Action. It is basically the same thing, no question about it, but it sounds
Way way way worse because the way we've branded this and I think I think the rights are very effective in playing the DEI game They want an election with that kind of talk they should continue DEI is more like DIE. Oh You know you have all that other stuff going on I know I disagree the DEI is better branding than affirmative action 2.0 Because people it would affirmative action started a lot of people were okay with it DEI is basically a way to say this has gone on too long So yeah, I disagree with that completely completely no
All right, any guesses on when baseless articles of impeachment will be fired against Trump again and who will file them? I'm gonna guess without even looking that there have already been articles of impeachment written up I'm gonna guess that as there was they will be filed and we'll hear about it and all this other stuff But it's not going anywhere. I don't think we're gonna see a lot of that this time around here to hear a lot talk about it
But as with David Weil, I was saying, you got a lot of people who are talking about stuff, but I think most Democrats are trying to get away from that kind of stuff. So there we go. Tori, thank you very much. Who you got when in the Royal Rumble, Tori? Just pick a name. Uh... The killer, I don't know. I don't really think about it. The correct answer was to say John Cena. That's all you had to say. Yeah, John Cena, my man John Cena. There you go, John Cena. I'll be back on Monday, everybody. Have a great weekend, Tori. Thank you very much, Steve. Thank you very much. Everyone else?
See ya!
