Meanwhile, Blue Nile provides an easy and customizable platform for designing unique engagement rings. For businesses, LinkedIn offers access to a wider pool of professional candidates, including those not actively seeking new roles. Lastly, the podcast "In Sickness and In Health" discusses various topics in marriage and relationships, and listeners can engage by participating in polls and sending messages on Instagram. While dealing with annoyances like car alarms, it's important to remember the importance of patience and communication in relationships.

    • Old possessions can disrupt our lives, but it's important to approach situations with compassionEven seemingly problematic possessions can cause disturbances, but understanding and compassion towards ourselves and others can help us navigate through the challenges.

Even the oldest and seemingly problematic possessions can unexpectedly disrupt our lives, but it's essential to approach situations with understanding and compassion towards ourselves and others. The speaker's old Mini car, which he described as a "purple piece of Bane in my life," caused disturbances in the neighborhood due to its frequent need for charging and maintenance. Initially angry, the speaker realized it was his own mistake and that everyone makes mistakes. The car, which he had pimped out with modern features, had spent more time in the garage than on the road, leading to a 1:1 ratio of usage to repairs. Despite its issues, the speaker expressed a love-hate relationship with the car. The discussion also touched upon the importance of regular maintenance and the speaker's lack of mechanical knowledge. Ultimately, the speaker learned to give himself and others a break, acknowledging that mistakes are a part of life.

    • Navigating Tensions and Challenges in PodcastingThrough respect, shared experiences, and a positive attitude, podcast duo overcomes tensions and challenges to create engaging content

Despite the occasional tension and stress, the podcast duo continues to push through and create content, even if it doesn't always go as planned. Their dynamic may be unconventional, but they have a deep respect for each other and the process, which ultimately leads to engaging and entertaining episodes. For instance, they had a falling out during a recording, which was witnessed by their boss, leaving a less-than-impressive impression. However, they bounced back, learned from their mistakes, and continued to produce content, even when faced with challenges like heartburn from too many curry takeaways or an unexpected visit from their boss. Through it all, they find solace in shared experiences, like watching Denzel Washington films, and maintain a positive attitude, ensuring that their listeners are entertained and engaged.

    • The power of shared experiences in relationshipsSmall moments of humor and connection in shared experiences can bring people closer together, even during challenging times. Keeping things light and focusing on the positive is essential for a healthy relationship, as is effective communication and keeping promises.

The shared experience of watching a film and the small moments of humor and connection can bring people closer together, even during challenging times in their relationship. The speaker and his partner found laughter and joy in their shared love for Denzel Washington films, using it as a way to lighten the mood and avoid delving too deeply into their marital issues. The importance of keeping things light and focusing on the positive was emphasized as a way to maintain a strong and lasting bond. The speaker's commitment to keeping his promises and communicating effectively was also highlighted as essential for a healthy relationship. Overall, the discussion underscores the power of small moments and shared experiences in strengthening relationships and bringing people closer together.

    • The Importance of Communication and Trust in RelationshipsCommunication and trust are vital in relationships. Mistakes happen, but it's essential to learn from them and not let them define the relationship. LinkedIn is a useful tool for hiring professionals, and everyone has their 'dropping days'. PlushCare offers online access to physicians for weight loss and prescribing medications.

Communication and trust are essential in any relationship, even when one person may be more prone to making mistakes than the other. In the discussion, the speaker acknowledges that they have a tendency to drop things and have promised to improve. However, their partner reminds them that everyone makes mistakes and it's not the end of the world when they do. They also discuss the importance of having an adult in the house to keep things in order and the benefits of using LinkedIn for hiring professionals. The conversation also touches on the topic of taking responsibility for one's actions and how it's not always a bad thing to make mistakes as long as one learns from them. The speaker suggests that they might have "dropping days" and asks their partner to let them know when that happens so they don't get handed important items. Additionally, the speakers promote the use of LinkedIn for hiring professionals, emphasizing that it's a valuable resource for finding candidates who may not be actively looking for a new job but could still be a great fit for a role. Lastly, they mention PlushCare and the benefits of using their service for weight loss, including online access to board-certified physicians who can prescribe FDA-approved medications for those who qualify.

    • Different Perspectives on Expired Food DatesPeople have varying opinions on consuming food past its expiration or sell by dates, with some following them strictly and others relying on their senses. It's crucial to respect individual choices and understand that sell by dates don't always reflect food safety.

People have different perspectives when it comes to consuming food past its expiration or sell by dates. While some believe in following these dates strictly, others trust their senses and personal experiences. The discussion revealed that one person prefers to adhere to these dates due to a need for structure and avoiding potential health risks, while the other values the concept of not wasting food and trusting their senses. The poll results showed a close split between those who follow the dates and those who don't. It's important to note that sell by dates are not always indicative of food safety, and expiration dates can be more reliable. Ultimately, it comes down to personal preference and comfort levels. However, it's essential to be aware of the differences and respect each other's choices.

    • Freezing Food for Long-Term StorageThe speaker values quality and prefers freezing food, especially meats, for long-term storage. They share personal habits and anecdotes while discussing the importance of checking expiration dates on certain items.

The speaker values quality and prefers freezing food, especially meats, extensively for long-term storage. They also share anecdotes about the differences in language usage between generations and their personal habits, including a love for browsing the pharmacy and an unusual susceptibility to infections. The speaker shares their preference for purchasing meat from the butcher and freezing it for later use. They mention that they deep freeze their food, although they admit that the term might be outdated. They then discuss various items and their usage by dates, pointing out that some items, like water and certain types of food, do not spoil easily. However, they caution against using expired batteries, cosmetics, and medication. The conversation then shifts to the speaker's personal habits, including their frequent visits to the pharmacy and their tendency to exaggerate symptoms. They deny being a hypochondriac but admit to having a weak constitution and passing it on to their children. The speaker also shares their experience of taking their children for a routine check-up and the doctor's observation of their large tonsils. Throughout the conversation, the speaker's tone is lighthearted and conversational, sharing personal anecdotes and insights into their preferences and habits.

    • Balancing Health Concerns and Common SenseBe mindful of unnecessary health worries and common ailments, while practicing common sense when consuming expired food.

People, including the speaker, can sometimes be overly concerned about their health, leading them to seek medical attention unnecessarily. This behavior, known as hypochondria, can result in embarrassing situations and unnecessary medical costs. However, it's also important to remember that common ailments like piles are normal and that people may have them without realizing it. Additionally, there's a debate about the responsibility of consuming expired food, with some arguing that it's fine if it's still good, while others insist on throwing it away. Overall, the discussion highlights the importance of balance and common sense when it comes to health concerns and food consumption.

As you know, I'm traveling. It took 12 hours to get to our new home. Now we aren't moving there yet. But with my husband already down there, we wanted to go and get him settled in.

Well you can't not eat for 12 hours unless you're fasting. And yes, I've done that; but when I do that I like to drink lots of water which requires more potty breaks.

So let's eat this, not that!

The K.I.S.S. ~ Eat this, not that!

Instead of diving into the tempting fast food stops that are greasy, salty foods, there are healthier ways to eat and not feel bloated and stuffed for days to come (like you're eating the meal over again and again).

    Eat This!

    • Hard boiled eggs
    • Peanuts, almonds, cashews, walnuts
    • Fresh chicken, ham, turkey (you can add some fresh cheese too)
    • Grapes
    • Water
    • Mustard, picante sauce, hot sauce

    Not This!

    • Sausage, egg, and cheese biscuit
    • Peanut butter sandwiches
    • Potato chips, salty fries
    • Soda pop or juices
    • Mayo and ketchup

    CHINESE:

    • Eat this! - No breaded meat, green beans, broccoli, soup
    • Not this! - Breaded everything, Rice, fried anything

    PIZZA:

    • Eat this! - Salad with yummy toppings, Soup (no noodles), Pineapple or grapes
    • Not this! - Pizza, pizza, pizza, No noodles, cinnamon rolls

You can pack a cooler, but depending on the drive time, shopping at a local grocery store along the way will make your body sing and your heart extra healthy.

Be creative. You don't have to feel deprived. Celebrate your health and wellness.

    960 The Voice of Truth

    960 The Voice of Truth

In your life, where does the voice of truth come from? Whose whispers gain your greatest attention?

Maybe it's the constant failures and short-comings.

Desire to be supported and encourage by other like-minded women? Join us at Women of IMPACThttp://facebook.com/groups/thewomenofimpact

Maybe it's the faults of your past.

Maybe it's your own belief that you're never good enough.

Why is it that we hang out with our stumbles and failures questioning our worth?

Never once did God hesitate when He created you; fearfully and wonderfully made, knowing every hair on your head.

Yet where is the voice of truth?

Is it the naysayers, the badgers, the mockers? Is that where your voice of truth is being solidified and defined?

I want you to really think about whom you are putting your trust in.

The K.I.S.S. ~ The Voice of Truth!

REFLECTION: Today, I want you to reflect on these three questions.

    1. Where is the voice of truth coming from?
    2. What is the voice of truth telling you?
    3. How are you using the voice of truth in your life?

If you are hearing God, the only voice of truth, then you know you are loved, given a gift of salvation, and grace for your life's journey.

That's the voice of truth you need to be listening to.

Not the negative CRAP, the doubts and drama of others, and not the daily sagas of self-centered mindsets.

It's all about control, earthly control. What happened to Heavenly control?

Let God wash away the torment of lies that threaten your greatness He's creating within you.

Let it go! Let God have it all!

    Give Him your heart.
Dedicate your life to glorify Him.
Rejoice with the voice of truth.

As you go out this week...

"One step at a time leads to miles of greatness!"

May God bless you this week in all your steps, in all your endeavors. Seek His guidance. Praise His name. The voice of truth!
