    • From Mirror Performances to Center Stage: Zara's Entertaining JourneyZara Larsson's love for entertaining and desire for validation stem from within herself, while she differentiates between confidence and self-esteem in her pursuit to make people feel good.

Zara Larsson has always had a natural inclination towards entertaining and performing. She loved having people watch her and always wanted to be the center of attention. This desire for validation and love led her to spend hours performing in front of the mirror, imagining herself as a famous artist like Beyonce or Christina Aguilera. Despite having a loving and supportive family, Zara's craving for validation and entertaining others comes from within herself. She genuinely enjoys making people feel good and believes there's a fine line between being a people pleaser and entertaining others by being herself. Zara's confidence and people-pleasing nature may seem contradictory, but she differentiates between confidence and self-esteem.

    • You won't believe what Zara Larsson really thinks about fame and social media!Zara Larsson shares insights on the fluctuating nature of self-confidence, the limitations of fame, and the impact of social media on relatability and superstar image.

While she is confident in her professional abilities, her self-worth is often influenced by how well she is performing. Zara also expresses her desire for fame, but acknowledges that it can be a form of prison, as it limits her ability to meet people genuinely and be understood for who she truly is. Being misunderstood and having opinions formed about her without truly knowing her is a downside of fame. She also notes the pros and cons of social media, as it allows for relatability and connection with the audience, but removes the untouchable allure that superstars of the past had.

Moment 177: You're NOT Lazy! This Is The REAL Reason You Procrastinate: The Performance Doctor
According to Adam, procrastination is a natural part of the creative process, and rather than a method of avoiding hard work, it is a defence mechanism. Procrastination can be a method of protecting yourself against what you find to be psychologically challenging, or a way to avoid negative emotional feelings such as confusion, boredom, anxiety and fear. In order to beat procrastination, Adam says that you need to identify what negative emotions are stirred up by tasks that you consistently put off. Once you have identified these you can then change them by reframing them into a more interesting challenge. Moment 176: 5 RED FLAGS Of A Secret Narcissist: The Narcissism Doctor
In this moment, clinical psychologist Dr. Ramani Durvasula discusses the characteristics of narcissistic individuals and how to recognise if you are in a narcissistic relationship. According to Dr. Ramani, narcissists are typically entitled, self-centred, lack empathy, and are highly socially perceptive. Early in a relationship, they can be attentive and say all the right things, but Dr. Ramani says that a shift usually occurs midway through the relationship when they become distant and passive aggressive. Dr. Ramani explains that there are key signs you can look for to determine if you are in a narcissistic relationship. By paying attention to the ‘3 Rs’ - Ruminate, Regret, and Recall - you can acknowledge the unhealthy behaviour of your partner and free yourself from the relationship. EPISODE 105: Dear Entrepreneur, A Love Letter

This is my love letter to you.  There's something about the raw, unfiltered stories of the entrepreneurial journey that resonates deep with us. It's the unspoken truth behind the shimmering facade of success that we often fail to recognize: the tough lessons, the emotional swings, and the courage it takes to keep moving forward. In my latest episode, I lay bare the realities of entrepreneurship, sharing anecdotes of disillusionment and the importance of authenticity. We traverse the challenging landscape of risk-taking, the sting of lost support, and the significance of acknowledging our vulnerabilities when life throws its punches.

I address the silent struggle with mental health many founders face, with alarming statistics revealing the prevalence of anxiety and stress in the entrepreneurial community, it's clear that the path to success is often littered with hidden battles. Musical Theater Nerd Patient Advocates Unite: Jennifer "Jay" Palumbo

On today's quirky show, I welcome Jen Palumbo, an epic human Energizer Bunny who takes a licking and keeps on ticking. Jen is a freelance writer, Forbes contributor, and women's health advocate, specifically for reproductive rights. In a spirited coincidence, it turns out we both went to the same college at the same time, were both Theater people, and have dozens of friends in common. We are ships in the night for sure. As fellow parents of IVF children, we bonded over the current state of the state. And as fellow Binghamton graduates, we bonded over Wegmans, being Theater nerds, and 1990s dorm life in the southern tier. Jen is a true Long Island: loud and proud. Let the hilarity, dark humor, and GenX Therapy begin. Enjoy the show.
