Bravo TV star Lala Kent holds nothing back. Like, I go into a full spiral. Get to know the TV personality. I talked about this with Teresa Judas. Remember when I pushed Andy Cohen? Yes, it was iconic. Okay. The entrepreneur. What are we manifesting in 2025? And the mom. Sosa is a dream baby. Your kids are older. It's Bravo children. The celebrity children of celebrity Bravo.
Give them lala. Follow and listen on your favorite platform. Good morning, everyone. 804. It is going to be a nice day today. It is Thursday, January 30, 2025. Some clouds around 70 degrees about the high for today. Rain tonight.
It moves in and we'll have that tomorrow morning going to be about a 90% chance of rain Friday morning, 67. Then it kind of moves out of here and maybe by the afternoon, we'll see some clearing. Saturday party cloudy 66 Sunday full sun high of 70 and even warmer as we get into next week into the mid 70s. Believe it or not. That's kind of odd. Come on baby. Let's do it. I'm good with this. Snowfall in South Alabama to 75 degrees two weeks later. Yeah, amazing. Yeah, not not not. I mean, proof.
I'm not gonna complain. Very much a, if you don't like the weather in Alabama, wait five minutes, it'll change. There's no question. It's amazing how quickly it does. This is crazy, man. Crazy. All right, keeping you up to date on what's happening with this plane crash, they're doing a briefing right now at a Kansas, I don't know what they can tell us. I can tell you this, a lot of seasoned pilots and aviators are chiming in all over social media and saying basically the same thing.
there is no reason for this to have happened. It is absolutely insane that this took place. It was 100% avoidable. There has to have been a dozen different things to have gone wrong, starting with the
collision avoidance system, either not working or being ignored. You know, people being on the wrong channel when it came to the radio and, you know, explanation of what was going on. The change of runway may have made a difference, may not have, but the fact that the helicopter just stayed straight and level and flew directly into the side of the plane, you get people now and this just feeds the conspiracy there. You get people who are like, well, it looked like it was intentional.
I don't believe it was in time. I don't believe three service members on a training mission on a helicopter went, well, why don't we fly directly into that plane? And apparently a black Hawk helicopter. Again, it's very normal. They say that they fly in the pattern that they were in. Is it a communications thing? There's also some theory that the plane took a hard bank to the right to try to avoid it at the very last second, but they did change runways. They were supposed to land on the longer runway and the tower moved them to a shorter runway.
So I don't know if the helicopter didn't get that message. They did try to reach out to him, but we don't know that they reached back and confirmed that they got that message. On the plane, we've also found this out. So we know that there were three soldiers aboard the chopper, 60 passengers, four crew members on the American plane.
This morning they're saying they don't believe there's any survivors and right now there's no doesn't look like that's going to happen. US figure skaters were on board along with two Russian coaches. Those two coaches were pairs, world champions and the 94 world champions ship in Japan and competed twice in the Olympics. They were aboard that plane and I'm sure we're going to find out that maybe some others, again from Wichita, Kansas to DC,
Yeah, you know, don't we don't know who else was on that flight just yet, but more names will come out about it So we've lost service members and we've lost 64 people aboard this plane and it just seems as if This was one of those that really should have been avoided now, you know, you hear about planes go down They have injured problems or a wing or something that causes the crash But this was two pilots that are flying along and somehow these two
aircraft crashed into each other and you just say yourself this should not have happened. No. No. And people who know far more than I folks who are in the air traffic control business, folks who are in the pilot and business are saying very much the same thing like this.
How could this be? How could this have taken place? I guarantee this will lead to some fairly serious changes in how we do business aircraft wise. I don't know exactly what those changes are going to be, but if there is something that could have been put in place that would have stopped this from happening that wasn't in place.
then it will almost certainly be put into place. You know, on the other hand, if it was just something was malfunctioning or something wasn't working, a friend of mine who is a pilot and he flies planes of about this size, sometimes a little larger, mostly smaller, he said, man, if you understood how many times you get on a plane and there's three or four things that aren't working,
like they're never things that involve the going of the plan or the stopping of the plane you know but it's little things that are like for instance
back in the day right when when we were young DJs trying to make it in this world how many times did you get into your car and the check engine light was on and you're like well it's just on forever now because I don't have the money to go get that looked at you know that was not uncommon in my world okay I had a check engine light I finally just cut a little piece of black duct tape and put it over it I was like I don't want to look at that anymore
And there are other problems that you have with your vehicle. Well, my friend, the pilot says you'd be shocked at how often you get on a plane to pilot it and find that.
not everything is as it should be not everything is working the way it's supposed to be so collision avoidance being off not impossible i understand yeah we've got uh... lance reaching out to see texted us and he's familiar says he was a former assault trooper for the united states army talking about the black hawk helicopters
I don't know who, you know, you can talk about a right of way. I'm not sure who that is, but I would think it would be the plane. Lance is saying something a little bit different this morning. I know that those helicopters fly through that river all the time, but the planes have to come in and land that the airport literally sits right there on the water. There's not like a beach or land or a parking lot. Literally the plane comes almost level with the water and then lands on that runway at Reagan. That's how it works.
Once again, a little more difficult to move a jet that's got 64 passenger, 67 people you're talking in total, but 64 on that flight. That's not a little Cessna. We're talking about a decent-sized jet. Do they not have the priority to come in and land over a Black Hawk helicopter that's going around, flying around the river, doing some kind of training exercise? I would think the jet has the right of way.
I do not know. Lance says that, look, these flights, they always happen. They're always going to be at the same level. This is the way it's going to be. And they don't deviate unless there is a very good reason to do so, supposedly. They don't deviate unless they are told specifically
to deviate from what it is they're doing. Well, and once again, the tower, they're saying that the tower did reach out to the Black Hawk to say, you know, this plane is coming in on a different runway, go behind it, and there wasn't any response from them. So maybe they didn't get that message that they needed to change course. That would be my guess. I also feel like the idea that, you know, your claim is, well, I was just following orders.
Yeah, no. If you are aware that you are going to hit a plane, you change direction. You do whatever it is you have to do. Those are lives at stake, and you understand that. This concept that is like, well, I haven't been ordered to change, so I guess I'm just going to plow into this plane. No.
Yeah, some of the video last night, I saw that just before I went to bed. It was like nine o'clock hour time and on some of social media, it showed the actual collision and it looks like the plane is flying straight, you know, toward you in the video, like it's coming into the runway and the chopper goes right into the side of the plane. Now, I don't know, again, that's just the image from the video that you see that may not be exactly how it happened, but it appears that way.
It's flying forward and the chopper goes right into the side of it and there's a huge explosion and they end up in the water and everyone's lost. Yeah, it's a sad state of affairs. We'll have to basically rip this thing apart piece by piece. This is something that there's an entire industry that is built around forensics following an air disaster of this kind where they sort of rebuild exactly what happened
and then discuss ways that it could have been prevented. And so I'm sure the experts in that field are currently on the scene working on that even as we speak, looking at the wreckage, looking at the wreckage of the helicopter, looking at footage of whatever may have taken place, listening to air traffic control conversations back and forth with both the plane and the helicopter and trying to figure out
Where did we go off the rails on this thing? So we'll have some answers. It won't be immediately, but we will have some answers on just what the heck happened here and how do we keep it from ever happening again.
It is eight, uh, 14, Dixon Divining Talk, nine and nine, five. You know, I love my guys down at work trucks, work trucks at 23 24 third Avenue South Bubba and the boys there. They scour the country and bring them in from all over. And they know they have a pretty good idea of what people are looking for. Like, Hey, we've been selling a lot of these.
I guess I should buy more of X, you know, and so they'll go out and they'll go specifically looking for the things that they know that people have been purchasing a lot of and they'll bring them and put them through that 125 point inspection and then, you know, put them on a lot at a great low price. There's a reason why they're the Southeast number one pre-owned work truck dealer you can trade, you can finance, you can get an extended warranty, truly wonderful
group of people down there who are going to put the effort in to get you into the best truck possible at the best price possible. And, you know, once you've been there, you buy, you're probably only going to ever buy from work trucks again. There's entire businesses here that that's the only, the only place they buy their trucks. And that's throughout the entire Birmingham metro area. Work trucks with an XLLC.com, downtown 2324 Third Avenue South, where they are all about trucks.
Hello, Joan Jett. She is touring with Billy Idol. This upcoming summer on the It's a Nice Day to Tour again tour.
That's a little confusing. True story. Put tour in the title of touring. Nice day to tour again. Yeah. I like it. I can't believe Billy, I will still out there making an happen. I can't believe Joan Jett's still out there making an happen, but you know what? Gives me hope for the future. Yes, it does. All of us. If they're still making an happen, then maybe I can still make it happen. I don't know.
eight eighteen six of the mining talk nine and nine five you literally have got only today tomorrow and Saturday to take advantage of those boat show prices on the Suzuki powered boats from Rodney's Marine you know last weekend was the legends boat show out at the Talladega International Motorsports Hall of Fame they said you know what
We're going to go ahead and let you do the boat show pricing right on through this week. But Saturday, close business, it's over. The Suzuki power goes back from the seven year warranty to the five year warranty and all the prices go back to normal prices. I'm telling you folks, these are some great deals. Highway 231, Lake Logan Martin, 525, 1500, Rodney's Marine dot com. Check them out. 820 Dicks to the Vining. Let's do this. And now it's Dixon and Vining's top three things you need to know today.
All right, as we said, going to be keeping an eye on what's happening with the helicopter and plane crash. So we'll keep you up to date on that. The Office of Communications in DC put our email yesterday saying that news outlets like Axio, CNN, Washington Post, New York Times,
Claim that President Trump's directive to temporarily pause certain federal spending was rescinded. All right, so be careful with this, because the fact is, and Washington put this out, along with Caroline Levitt confirmed this, no such thing took place. What did happen was a memo from the Office of Management and Budget was rescinded in an effort to alleviate some confusion, because there was some confusion about that.
And press secretary Caroline Levitt confirmed yesterday Trump's order remains in full force and effect is what she said. So hopefully that now alleviates that confusion. Yeah, that, well, I don't know, it might just actually be more confusing now. Could be. You know, we'll see how this plays out. But yeah, you know, look, a lot of this has to do with spending that was being spent on things that he'd already signed to executive orders that we're not going to do anymore. Right. So now he was growing. And now we're really taking the money back.
Yeah, because if you look at some of it, you're like, you're spending money on what? Yeah. You're going to a brand for what? Condoms for Gaza. Oh, my goodness. How about diversity scholarships in Burma? I'm not kidding. That was one of the things that we're spending. Like 48 million dollars on diversity scholarships in Burma. That's like, give me a break. Now that's not even right.
All right, an update, you know, we had two mornings in a row on 65 where we had an accident one on Tuesday and then followed up yesterday with something going on on 65. We got on the air yesterday morning early. This happened around 6 a.m. and now we have an update about what happened with that road closure with 65 Southbound at Kalir that was shut down. Traffic was diverted off the interstate and we mentioned it when we got off the air yesterday, we got a little more information about what happened and here's what happened.
A man died after he apparently intentionally stepped in front of a semi-truck. Chilton County Coroner's office said that the victim is a 21-year-old man. He died on the scene. His death has been ruled a suicide.
You know, we heard that it was a pedestrian. Initially, we thought, well, here's somebody just trying to cross 65. It's dark. It was dark at that time. Probably one of the worst things you could ever do. And now we find out, no, it was worse than that. This was somebody that was trying to take their life. He had called and said, I'm planning on doing this. And then he went ahead and did it. The deputies rushed to the scene to try to stop it from happening. But by the time they got there, it was already too late.
terrible shame and by the way that the alabana state troopers are a stretch way too thin for this kind of nonsense so yeah stop it well and again it he took his own life but also didn't think about that truck driver and really the maybe the possible trauma you caused that man and could have caused an accident that caused more deaths could have been a pilot you think about that i mean i understand whatever was going on in this twenty one year old's life
You aren't thinking about the drivers on Interstate 65 that could have also died because of your recklessness. You could have killed five, seven, eight people with careening vehicles left, right, whatever. I mean, that would be just horrible. It is horrible. It was a bit of a bittersweet day for the family of the University of Georgia student, Lake and Riley.
President Trump signed the Lake and Riley Act into law yesterday, and this will mark the first piece of legislation to become law in Trump's second administration. 22-year-old Lake and was killed by an illegal alien while she was out on a jog at the University of Georgia campus. This happened in February of last year. The measure advanced to the House and Senate this month and now directs ICE to detain illegal aliens arrested and charged with crimes. And those accused of assaulting a police officer, the law also
allows states the ability to sue the Department of Homeland Security for harm caused citizens because of illegal immigration. I think now under the Trump administration, that's going to be a little more difficult because ICE and others are now being allowed to do their jobs to arrest these illegal aliens who commit crimes and get them out of the country.
you know the thing that really is the saddest about of the lake in riley i mean obviously the fact that she was sexually assaulted and murdered as terrible but you realize they had this guy in custody three times yep they had him in custody at the border let him go by order from
the executive branch that had him in custody in new york or new york's a sanctuary city we're not going to hold on to him for ice let him go had him in custody again in georgia let him go because they do want to be essentially they're not a pro claim sanctuary but they do want to be a sanctuary city and now you've got somebody uh... dead horrifically very nice young lady according to all reports who could have had a an extremely bright future
And how do you look at that and you say, we're looking at this plane crash and go, what went wrong? Here, it's very clear what went wrong. We had three opportunities to get a very bad guy off the street out of the country. And these so-called empathetic people who care so much
didn't bother to do their job, and it's absolutely horrific. Hey, real quick, Tanya Piper is with us from the Wings of Hope, a pediatric group. This has to do with our chili cook off. Tanya, this plane crash has got us all ball mixed up on this end here today. I got to ask if you can stick around for a couple of minutes, and maybe we could talk to you after 8.30, or are you dashing off somewhere?
No, I'm available. OK, marvelous. Let me put you back on hold. And then we're going to be talking with Ian as well. Ian is in charge of this Guinness chili cookoff that's taking place on Saturday. I'm a judge.
mmm-hmm boy aren't you lucky on that yummy chilli do you know what on you do i get a black robe or is there no we can have one for you all right that's what i want i want a black robe i want a gavel i want the whole nine yards here okay all right hold on if you would please will chat with her again coming up in just a few minutes because this is a great organization that is doing good work for uh... the pediatric winds of hope foundation and it's uh... you know again tasty chilly it's at the beer hog
It's gonna, the tasting actually for the public starts at three o'clock. The entire chili cook off, I believe, begins at 11. We'll get into that a little bit more, a little bit later. You know, one of the stories we did not get to today when it comes to the three things is one I find really fascinating is an Alabama school employee who was put on leave after putting out an email. And this was like a system-wide email that said, hey listen,
If you're concerned about your kids having to deal with ICE and maybe ICE coming into your school and taking the kids away, we're going to let you keep them home. You don't have to send the kids to school. And the principal immediately upon hearing about this came out and went like, ah, no, that's not true. We're taking that email back. None of that is. I mean, that literally is interfering
with the enforcement of this law, which is something that was stated very plainly. You'll go to jail for this. Yes, you will. You hinder that. You hinder any of that. That's what's going to happen to you. And yet that's exactly what this woman was advocating for, which is just mind-boggling. She is on leave now and no doubt they're taking a good long look. But this is the kind of do-gooders that we have, the kind of people that let this
you know, piece of human filth go in at the border and New York. I don't blame the Border Patrol. They wanted to hold on to him. They wanted to send him back. They were under orders to let him into the country. I do blame New York and their system, which allowed that to happen, and Georgia and the city where that took place, allowing this guy to let go. And now you've got these people going, well, let me help you avoid ice.
Why do you want these people to spend the rest of their lives on the run? Why are you after that? Best possible scenario, take the kids, go back to your home country, apply to come to the United States legally. You got a leg up. Hey, I've already been there. I've got a line on a job. My employer would love to have me back. I'm learning English, whatever it may be.
You're going to get on the fast track to get back into the United States and now you don't have to cower any longer and worry about this any longer and you've got a tax paying citizen. How is that a bad thing? It's not. And shame on this teacher for doing that. You're not helping anybody. Once again, you came into the country illegally. There is a right way and a wrong way and to
put this out. Got a dumb on her part, really. It's been in the face of every single person who came in the right way when you do this. Mr. Bugs, M R B G S dot com. These are guys who are really dedicated to getting rid of the insects and the pests that are bothering you in and around your home. Whether that be, you know, on the outside trying to get in or whether that be inside
bothering you in, well, it could be small rodents that are under the house, you know, whatever it may be, termite bonding as well. Of course, mosquito reduction in the summer months, they're the best at what they do. I know, cause I've had them for seven years now and they've taken such good care of me over 45 years in the business now statewide, MRBUGS.com, 844 MRBUGS Mr. Bugs. Oh, I thank you.
A 34 talk down and I thought I'm talking about. Was she not talking to me? I don't think so, Richard. But if you want to think that and it'll help your day, you go right on. In my head, she's talking to me. It is Dixon and Mining. And what a beautiful day we have lined up for us now. 70 degrees for a high today. Get out.
We've got some rain, 90% chance of rain coming in tonight, but tomorrow morning it clears out 67 for how everything should dry up nicely. 66 on Saturday, 70 on Sunday, 74 on Monday. Alau.
Let's talk a little bit more about Saturday, shall we? Because that 66 degrees on Saturday is going to be perfect for a little chili cook off, which is taking place at the beer hog. Ian Willecott is here to talk about this Guinness chili a cook off. Ian, you've been pastoring me about being a judge for this the past couple of three years. Finally, I get to do it. I'm off the chain excited about it because I love Guinness and I love chili and I love the beer hug.
And of course, I love, you know, charitable organizations. Tell us a little bit about how this thing came about. How are you involved in it and what can we expect? Yeah, good morning, Richard and Valerie. Thank you for having us on to talk about it. So this idea came up 90 years ago, we were working with the beer hog, try to come up with an idea for an event. And we're talking about doing some chili.
really wanted to do something that was unique outside of just your standard chili cook-off so we come up with idea incorporating Guinness into the recipe. So all the teams that compete are their local teams, a lot of husband, wife teams, it's best friends, coworkers, that kind of thing. We don't have a lot of corporate teams that compete. And there are certain standards where everybody has to use Guinness some way creatively into their recipes. So that's kind of the
uniqueness of what they're doing we have a uh... aside from uh... just pouring in a sin which i have no qualms with it all i've used beer and chili recipes in the past uh... what what other unique ways might people be working in this into this recipe like a they marinating their beef in it or something like that yeah so we've seen all kinds of really cool stuff it's uh... really amazing to see the different ideas that people come up there come up with but
We've seen what you're talking about where people who marinate, we've seen where people can reduce Guinness down and use it in like a sour cream and make a topping for it. We've seen Guinness used in a cornbread, so I'm not going to give away all the teams' techniques and secrets, but that might give you a little bit of the creativity.
most excellent very much looking forward to it as uh... i was in ireland last september and i always like to get us
But it didn't take but three or four days for me to just be like, now I crave it. I crave it all the time. I can't have it all the time because it just puts the weight on. But man, oh man, it's kind of like it's my go-to now. If I'm at a place and they have Guinness, that's what I want. It's an iconic beer. There's a lot of misunderstanding about Guinness. Being a stout-style beer, people think that that's going to be a heavy beer. It's not. If you like coffee flavors,
It's an easy drinking beer. That nitrogen makes it smooth and creamy. And it's an icon. It's the history of it, pairing with food, making cocktails with it.
There's just a long runway for a lot of cool ideas to incorporate Guinness. The Irish car bomb, Little Jemison, dropped down into your Guinness is a good thing. And by the way, fewer calories than a lot of so-called light beers, which is weird to me. Also joining us is Tonya Piper. She is with the Wings of Hope Foundation, which deals with flying kids, various and sundry places. Correct, Tonya? What is this all about?
So yeah, good morning. Thanks for having me on. So I work with the wings of, well, I volunteer. I don't work for them. I volunteer my time with the Wings of Hope Pediatric Foundation. And what we do is we assist families that have terminally or critically ill children, and that can be in lots of different ways. The main way that we see requests comes in, come in, are financial requests. So as you can imagine, when a family faces a terminal or critical diagnosis of their child, their world kind of stops.
And they're facing this nightmare of how do we take care of our family and our child and still pay the bills? Because you know while their world is kind of Stopped for a little while the world around them keeps going on And so you know a lot of times they have to take time off work and they're not getting paid And so that's where we pair up with the social workers at Children's Hospital and
They provide us with applications and then the bills for these families that they need paying. So a lot of times we'll pay mortgages or rent. It could be a car bill or car insurance. We've helped repair vehicles. So families will have a reliable vehicle to get their child to and from treatment. We've had families who didn't maybe have a crib to take their child home so that they could spend time at home with their child. So we've provided cribs. We provide meals, house cleaning, lawn care,
really almost anything, sometimes medications that insurance won't cover that their child needs to be able to sustain life. Generators, because some of the equipment has to be working 24 hours and, you know, so power goes out, that's a problem. So just lots of different things to help alleviate the stress that these families are facing so that they can spend time focusing on their child and creating memories with their family because every day is a gift.
Yeah, so let's see if we can get a lot of people out there this weekend, Tonya, to help wings of hope. This sounds like a wonderful organization, and a lot of money can be raised with a chili cook-off. Ian, give us some details about the time of when things are happening and tickets, if people need tickets, and how they get those, and that sort of thing. Yeah, so obviously it's going to be this Friday, this Saturday. The team start cooking at 11.
Judges will judge the chili first at two and it'll be open to the public from three to five as the chili last. Tickets are going to be $10 kids, 12 and under free. This is actually very family friendly. Tonya's obviously this is an organization for kids. So we've got bouncy houses, face paintings. So it's a good opportunity to come by, eat some chili, have a beer too, and let the kids kind of get some energy out.
We do have some spots available. If there's any teams that are still interested, you can email Guinness Chili Cook-Off at Gmail. That's two N's and two S's in Guinness, one L in Chile. Or they could call the beer hog at 205-624-3096. They don't open until two today, so if you do try to call, keep that in mind. We do have a couple spots. If there's any teams still interested,
Great prizes. Two night beach stay at Orange Beach. There's a $300 cash prize. Lots of Guinness swag, coolers, cornhole boards and some wearables.
uh... they really have some really great prize packages bragging rights all was good yes i've never won on the list uh... i of course i'm going to be a celebrity judge and i want to be clear i will be taking bribes so uh... if anybody wants to go ahead and let me just say if you need a judge next year that doesn't it that does take bribes and you can you know you can involve me in it ready to go and i think it's like
We can always look at for good judges. Yeah. Well, I can't promise that I'm a good judge, but I could try. She's very judgmental though. I can tell you that. Let me ask you, so for my ticket, if I were just an average of, I weren't as a Liberty judge, and I was just an average everyday goer, part of what I refer to lovingly as the rattle, and I were to buy a ticket, what does that get me? How do I get my hands on some of this chili? What's the story there?
Yeah, so the $10 is going to get you into the event. There's live music all through by the band 12. So they donate their time every year, always put on a good show. And yeah, you get to go around and sample all of the, all of the chilies. So we have three, we have three categories for people for teams to win. So we have our grand champion that's decided by the judges. We also have a people's choice award and that's voted on by the public.
uh... it's really cool to see the public you know kind of putting their nose in it and taking the chilli and examining everything critiquing and then uh... at the towards the end of it everybody can place their vote and it's good to see the difference in what the public thinks is good chilli and what the judges think is good chilli excellent i i know that the judging begins at two o'clock what is the uh... what's what's the last possible moment i can make a grand entrance i i just don't want to be late
You just tell me when you want to be there. We'll hold everything around. Okay, that's what I like to hear. That's pretty nice. Are you sure you want to do that? I'll be there around 6.30. And I'll say this to Ian, the beer hog. It's an awesome venue and those guys always do a great job. And if you're driving down 31 in front of where the beer hog is and you're like, Oh my gosh, there's no parking. The back of the beer hog has tons of parking.
So just people that are going to know that you can wrap yourself around the back. It's an old school. Yeah. Which is pretty cool. Try not to hit the jungle gym. I had one more question for you now. I've completely forgotten what it is. So we'll blow that off and I will run. Oh, if you want more information, is there a website or a Facebook page?
uh... facebook page you can either look up wings of hope you could get a beer hog or there is a page that you can go to it's uh... annual Guinness chili cook-off love it fantastic tanya piper thank you very much uh... he and will cut thank you very much i will see you guys on saturday take care there you go uh... big-time celebrity judge family this is a big big big three years in real this is a big big big the last two times i wasn't able to make it this time i was like yes
I'm going to buy, come hell or high water, I'm going to go eat some chili. Enjoy yourself. I'm very excited about it. I know from experience because I've judged a couple of chili contests in the past. I know from experience that you should be able to get a good flavor, one spoonful. You get one spoonful that's got a little bit of everything in it and you take a taste and
eating more of it doesn't necessarily give you more of a sense of the chili. In fact, it actually sort of begins to deaden the taste buds because a lot of these are hot. So you got to be careful. And then you got saltines to sort of cleanse your palate in between these things. I take my judging very seriously because I've been involved in contests. I've won chili contests before. I've come in dead last in chili contests before.
And there's nothing I hate more than judges who take the job and then kind of just screw around and don't take it seriously. That just annoys me to no end. So everybody who's involved in this competition, you can trust that I am putting my nose to the grindstone, my shoulder to the wheel and my taste buds to the chili. And I'm going to take it very, very seriously.
Alabama Tree Bros. 308-4-1-5-8. You got a tree that needs to be taken down. You can count on these guys to come out and do the job for you and do it right and do it for less. My tree was very, very close to my home. One slip up would have caused God knows what kind of damage. They took a limb down that was way up in this tree.
It was over the house, and I was always concerned that eventually that thing was going to break off and land at the house, but I didn't think it was going to do like a mence amount of damage. I just thought it'd be a pain. When they finally got that thing cut up and lowered to the ground, I was shocked at how big this limb was. It was the size of a tree in and of itself. And I thought, if that had fallen on my house, it would have been game over. It would have been like, get the contractors out, the whole deductible is going in, and you're going to have insurance claims up the yin-yang for God knows how long.
Um, that's how serious it can be. Whether it be your house, the neighbor's house, maybe your power lines, maybe a driveway, whatever it may be, you want to make sure that this does not happen on your watch and Alabama tree pros can take care of that for you. The weather's getting nice. Now would be the time to go ahead and give them a call. 3084158, AlabamaTreeProse.com. They can trim it up. They can take it down. They can grind the stump. They'll do it all for you at AlabamaTreeProse, AlabamaTreeProse.com.
eight fifty one talk that it i thought that it i thought that i thought com this is the moment when uh... punk sort of uh... blended into new wave and uh... joe jackson was right on the cutting edge of it which was very cool and then he completely abandoned it and went to a kind of a jazz fusion thing
Don't try to put Joe Jackson in a box, baby. Don't you do it. Don't you put baby in a corner, either. What? Oh, that was something else, nevermind. Dixon and Vining, beautiful day to day, 70 degrees for a high, 90% chance of rain tonight, 67 tomorrow, 66 on Saturday, 70 on Sunday as well. Woo. Nice. Baby. We deserve some warmer temperatures. Every once in a while, the story comes along, there you go. This can't possibly be right.
This has got to, they're made this up. Lindenburg knows. Andre Lindenburg in the house. Yeah, they Lindenburg. I mean, I've not really made up a lot of stories lately, but. No, you haven't, but don't you occasionally get a story and you go like, I have to double check on this because this doesn't sound right. This doesn't sound right. No way, this is true. I feel like I'm being punked. Where's Ashton Kutcher? There's one of mine that I remember, and it was, man cuts other man's nose off in fight over raccoon meat.
I remember one about Florida. I remember one about a woman who stabbed her. I think it was live in boyfriend with a squirrel.
Stabbed? Was it stuffed with a squirrel? Apparently it was a frozen, apparently it was a frozen, they'd had it in the freezer, I guess, I don't know what they're planning on doing with it, but stabbed. Stabbed with a claw. I actually just had a frozen squirrel that she stabbed and was like, again, this isn't made of shiv it into a shiv or something. Well, here comes one. How about this? A 500 and a 54 pound wrapper is suing Lyft.
after a Detroit driver denied her a ride, saying his low profile tires could not handle her weight. All right, well, that sounds legitimate. That seems fact-based. Seriously, if you've seen low profile tires, man. Absolutely. I've had them. You have?
What are you doing as an Uber driver with low profile tires? Well, I mean a Lyft driver. This was a very nice Mercedes-Benz sedan. That's my point. In Detroit. Yes. It was in a certain neighborhood where low profile tires are expected and consequently, you know. Profile tires are expensive. Isn't it ironic he worked for Lyft? Would it be a Lyft? That's right.
He drives the Mercedes, he can afford the low profile tires. I'm serious as to why in the world he's a lift driver. A very good lift driver obviously could afford this. He's not lifted. He's overpriced. Or possibly he stole the Mercedes. We don't know anyway.
So he, uh, her name is Jajua Blanding, better known as Dank De Moss. She looks like a dank. That was my state's name. You know what I would say? Dankity Dank is more likely. She recorded the January 18th incident and posted it to TikTok and Instagram because it took two sites to take the entire story in before hiring attorneys at Marco Law, PLLC to sue the rideshare company for discrimination.
I can fit in this car. 36 year old Blanding told the driver to which he replied, believe me, you can't. The driver said he would refund the ride, which is the right thing to do. So Blanding could order an Uber XL or an X XL.
a larger vehicle, and she said, I've been in cars smaller than that, and that's what she told the new side of the jokes. I just want them to know it hurt my feelings. Can you sue over hurt feelings?
You can. You can? You may not win. But you won't win. You could sue a ham sandwich, which you might not win, right? Dank, why would you sue a ham sandwich? Well, I don't know. Somebody said that one time. What are you doing? I don't know. You can indict a ham sandwich. If it's not as a term, Pete, I thought he said you could sue a ham sandwich. You can then indict a ham sandwich. You cannot sue a ham sandwich. Well, then he was Larry Langford was wrong in that. But Dank ate a few ham sandwiches. Dank, clearly. Just you. Dank, Demos. I'm thinking of a name change.
If Dank had been around to take that ham sandwich off of Mama Cass' hands, we'd be in a completely different world. Where would the music world be today? Wow. Yeah, she calls herself a BBW, a big, beautiful woman. Probably just one B would go there. I think just, yeah, the BW is probably what you want, or BMW. I don't want to go and show it anyway.
I'm sick to death of this. There is now a movement out there, okay? Not her. She's not moving. I'm sorry. Here's the problem. You have no shame. You have no shame. That's exactly right. But there's a movement out there by an oversized woman who's now trying to get airlines to make larger seats. And I'm like, no. My two lady. My two. This is your fault. You ate yourself into this situation.
Now, there are a few people out there who've got a medical condition. I get that. It's rare. This is not one of those cases. My five hundred and fifty four pounds. This is not one of those cases. She cusses a lot.
You know she's getting a lot of hits right now. I'm sure she is. And for you, every song has it. That's why she's loving it. It's an enix to it, like extra. Extra large. She probably worked with this Lyft driver going, look, just deny me. I'll pretend I'm suing you. We'll both become famous. We'll split the money. It'll be good. By the way, just before we do this, let me get in and we'll go through a drive-through real quick. Do you have any snacks? Yeah.
Look, I've eaten publics for a chicken and a car wash, so I'd... Hey, nothing wrong with that girl. One, me and the way. I'm with your sister, privacy. I find it hard to believe that she actually performing on stage as a rapper, because she jumps up and down the bands. You know what I'm saying? This is what I will say. This woman will not live very long. Oh, no. 36 years old and 554 pounds. Your heart cannot do that. Your heart can't do it. That heart is working overtime.
That heart wants a little wants a little OT pay. I'm telling you. I'm she's how big is you? You can't picture 554 pounds. You go. Oh, that sounds like a lot until you see her. You realize two men made love to her at the same time. Never met. OK, that's how big this woman is.
At least he used the words made love. That's what we call it when we're in a loving relationship. I just don't get taught like this. He realized he was broadcast. I have a hard time picturing Elton John with this one. Oh, man. Can you feel? Lord, Lord, Lord. Help me.
Bless, bless her. Bless her overwork. I'm just, I'm sad. I'm sad for this woman. I really am. Yeah. It's, it's, this is sad. You don't lose this way. You don't live a very long life. You're making a name for yourself. It's, it's not a lady that everybody's talking about you, but it's not in a positive manner. We're entering like a new age of fitness with a RFK junior. No, she's not following out. Absolutely not because she can't get through the door. That's the problem.
She's trying to email Richard, please, y'all. Please send those emails to me. Please don't text me about it. I can't do anything. I can't do anything. To reach the keyboard, go ahead. I mean, anybody who's going to email me about this is probably... Okay, okay. Again, we understand that there is a small part of a population that is on certain medications, but not to this level. Come on, folks. Thank you. I would like to teach you a couple of words you've probably never heard before. I'm full.
Try those on for size. Richard Dixon, email Richard, please. Not me. I mean, the woman is New Jersey in stretch pants. I mean, come on, she's a... That does not help this image. You're right. She's in her workout pants. Yeah. As if she's ever worked out. No, that's a terrible look. No, New Jersey's mad. The workout is when she has to put her shoes on. That's the biggest workout she's getting all day.
859 Dixon and Vining Talk 99.5. I'm going to hell. I know. I don't care. I'm taking you all with me. How about that? No, I'm going to be laughing. You laughed.
