Celebrating the New Year with scandal

January 02, 2025
TLDR: 2024 retrospective reveals scandals in taxpayer waste, corrupt media, immigration, education failures, transgender movement affecting athletics and office politics, aiming for improved decisions in the new year.
In the latest episode of the Constitution Study hosted by Paul Engel, the host reflects on the scandals that marked 2024, touching upon key issues such as government spending, media integrity, and the impact of the transgender movement on various societal facets.
The Cost of Scandalous Government Spending
As the New Year approaches, Engel emphasizes what he describes as the annual "Festivus Report" by Senator Rand Paul. This report sheds light on government waste and mismanagement, spotlighting the following points:
- $10 billion wasted on empty office space: A staggering sum allocated to government buildings that remain largely unoccupied. Many agencies report using only 20-25% of their office space.
- Extravagant expenditures: This includes $15 million spent on new furniture in unused offices and $12 million for a pickleball complex in Las Vegas with taxpayer money.
- Misguided grants: The Department of Health and Human Services distributed funds for questionable research, such as a study investigating whether positive environments lead rats to abstain from cocaine.
- Losses in the Electric Vehicle sector: The episode discusses significant financial losses in the EV market, with federal support amounting to $12 billion, raising questions about efficiency and priorities.
Media Trustworthiness Under Scrutiny
Engel also discusses the pressing issue of trust in media. He reflects on a Wall Street Journal report detailing efforts by President Biden's office to obscure his cognitive decline, questioning the integrity of White House coverage:
- Collusion between media and government: Engel points out how reporters failed to challenge misleading narratives, contributing to public skepticism about the news.
- Historical precedents: He cites instances of past media manipulations, such as during government shutdowns, where the media crafted narratives without factual backing.
These points highlight the recurring concern about media as the fourth estate, particularly its commitment to truth over narrative.
Analysis of Immigration and Workforce Dynamics
In a notable segment, Engel reflects on immigration trends in the labor market:
- From 1960 to 2024, the number of American-born working-age men not participating in the workforce rose dramatically, countered by an increase in immigrant workers. This shift raises questions about workforce engagement and the visibility of job opportunities.
- Engel posits that the push towards remote work during the pandemic may have influenced American workers’ choices, leading to withdrawal from traditional employment paths.
The Education System and Political Agendas
Engel shares insights into educational reforms proposed by former President Donald Trump:
- Trump’s agenda includes a commitment to educational reforms that prioritize parental control over curriculums and dedicated efforts against political indoctrination in schools.
- However, Engel emphasizes the constitutional limitations of federal intervention in education, arguing that reform should happen at the state level and questioning the legality of established federal educational systems.
Transgender Issues in Sports and Society
Another significant discussion point centers around the intersection of transgender rights and sports:
- Engel references a lawsuit by Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton against the NCAA, arguing that allowing biological males to compete in women’s sports undermines competition and safety.
- He reflects on the increasing legal battles and ideological friction surrounding gender identity, advocating for clear distinctions in competitive sports.
Final Reflections: A Call to Action
As the episode concludes, Engel encourages listeners to take stock of the previous year’s scandals, urging greater accountability from elected officials:
- Takeaways for the New Year: Engel calls for vigilance and proactive engagement in addressing these societal issues, emphasizing the necessity for transparency and better governance.
- Empowering Citizens: He underscores the idea that citizens must reclaim their influence over government and educational systems, inspired by historical precedents of civic engagement.
In summary, this episode of Constitution Study presents a critical perspective on the past year, advocating for responsible governance, integrity in media, and informed citizenry as we usher in the New Year.

helping to secure the blessings of liberty to ourselves and our posterity. This is the Constitution Study on the America Out Loud Network with your host, Paul Engel. Happy New Year. Whether you're preparing for a night on the town or quite evening at home, I hope you have a happy and safe evening.
But just as you can expect the New Year to come around, you can also expect Scandal to be coming out of DC. Hello there. Everyday Americans, Paul Engel here with the Constitution study where we read instead of the Constitution, teach your eyes and generation be free. I'm glad you could join me. You know, it's New Year's Eve. I know a lot of people will be out celebrating. Please do so safely. I know a lot of people that will stay home. I appreciate that. I'm a stay at home.
type of guy as well. But as we, you know, as regular clockwork, right? Every, you know, every January or December 31st, we have a New Year's Eve. It seems we still have scandals going through Washington DC. Back just about every year, what do we have? We have Dr. Rand Paul's Festivus report, a report of the
Well, we'll just call it the best of the worst when it comes to government boondoggles, misspending, and general malfeasance. So let's take a look at some of the highlights from this Festivus report. Let's see, last year, the federal government spent $10 billion on basically empty office space.
Now, remember yesterday I was talking about, uh, Senator Ernst, um, the head of the, uh, what they call it, the doge consensus committee, whatever they're calling themselves. And, um, she's like, well, we got, you know, all these people, the vacations are working from home. And I said, well, one of the advantages of working from home is you don't have to pay for office space.
Well, there you got $10 billion worth of empty offices. That's, I mean, hey, 10 billion here, 10 billion there. Pretty soon you're, you're saving some real money. Again, this came out of the government accountability offices. Um, according to the, uh, the report, uh, 17 out of 24 agencies are using less than 20 or 25% or less of their office base in 2023.
Now, okay, you know, 2020, 2020, or should I say 2021, the height of the COVID scare, everybody's running for the hills. Okay, maybe we should have learned something in the last couple of years. Apparently not because the pension benefit guarantee corporations offices, they spent $15 million on new furniture for empty office space.
Seems to me that's something we could have done a better job at. Let's see. Apparently the city of Las Vegas got $12 million of your taxpayer money to build a pickle ball complex. I've heard of pickle ball and I understand Las Vegas is pretty much since city, but is that really up to the American people to pay for Las Vegas is
Pickleball Sanctuary? Let's see, the Department of Health and Human Services, HHS, they spent $2 million that they granted to a NYU research team to figure out the link between social and media food advertising and the dietary choices of adolescents. Maybe that's not where the federal funds are supposed to be going.
They apparently spent over $100,000 on a Caribbean hotel. That's not a hotel. It's a bath house that's been boarded up. They gave a grant to, again, NYU, New York University, over $400,000 from the Department of Health and Human Services to find out whether if you place rats in a more positive environment, would they be more likely to abstain from cocaine?
Oh, let's take a look at electric vehicles, right? Um, electrical vehicle owners report 80% more problems than gas powered vehicle owners. So the American be pretty much spoken. They, they overwhelmingly prefer gas powered vehicles. Um, the EV car market lost one, four division, uh, electric vehicles lost 1.3 billion with a B.
last year, first quarter of this year alone, Lucid Motors reported loss of over a quarter of $1,000 per car sold. We said again, almost a quarter of a million dollars per car sold that is on a loss. So what's the federal government's response? Let's just take $12 billion of your money and flush it down the EV toilet. That's, I mean, they might as well. It's literally what's going on.
Let's see, the department of state spent almost $5 million on social media influencers. Yeah, getting social media to talk up what's going on. And this report goes on and on and on. The department of state spent $3 million on a girl centered climate action event in Brazil, almost another million dollars and for movies in Jordan.
I wish I was making this stuff up. This is our annual nonsense. Now, if you want to see the entire Festivists report, I will put a link in the show page so you can follow and read all the gory details of just what your federal government is wasting your hard-earned money on.
Let's look at some other scandals coming out of DC. I've said for a lot of paraphrased Thomas Jefferson when I say that nothing cannot be trusted corporate media. The truth itself becomes questionable by being placed in that polluted, fitted establishment.
It appears the Wall Street Journal has published a four byline bombshell detailing just how badly Joe Biden's staff worked, how hard they worked to hide his mind turning to mush. Not really, it's sad to see somebody with dementia, to see them losing their cognition, losing their abilities. It really is hard. And it's something I doubt most people would like to have done in public.
But the, the, the staff again works so hard to hide this, but to me it brings up a more important question. How can we trust the White House reporters that most have colluded with this?
I mean, you know, not a single reporter, well, maybe one or two, asked serious questions, looked and demanded answers when the White House simply, you know, when it was a Korean John Pierre simply brushed it off as no big deal. They just ignored it. So how are we supposed to trust? They're supposed to be the fourth estate. They're supposed to be the ones watching the federal government.
And they've proved themselves to be untrustworthy. And then people wonder why we don't trust what they say anymore. And I love the idea of people who are saying that the, uh, the White House press room should be the seats that should be reshuffled and more positions given to news outlets that are actually reporting the news and not simply covering up for government.
For example, Cheryl Atkinson, one time CBS reporter, she basically admitted that the media colluded with Democrats to fake just how bad a government shutdown would be.
And writing on X, she said one year when I was reporting at CBS News during a government shutdown, I think 2013, we were sincerely searching for real life impact. When we couldn't find any, that should have been part of the story. Instead, we kept trying to create the appearance of an impact.
It wasn't really trying to be dishonest. It was in my retrospective view because the general editorial idea for the story was to show how bad the Republican shutdown was for ordinary Americans, and the answer simply couldn't be that it wasn't.
I've written about it a bit, but we as journalists too often decide the story in advance and shape the facts to fit our narrative rather than gathering information and letting that tell the story wherever it may be.
Anyway, the Ds were blaming ours for shutdown, so we were calling Ds in the Obama administration for ideas to report what was a real impact. Taking our cue, these officials fabricated impacts that we could report. For example, they cordoned off outdoor public monuments in Washington, D.C.
We knew and even discussed in the newsroom that this made no sense. These monuments weren't manned to begin with. The only reason to cordon them off from the public was so that visiting tourists would see the impact of the shutdowns and the news media would have something to take pictures of and interview people about. There are other examples, but this is the one I remember the most.
In other words, surprise, surprise. The media has been colluding with the Democrats to, well, to lie to you. If there isn't a story, they make one up. You remember when there were reports that on January 6th, Donald Trump wanted to go to the Capitol when the Secret Service said no, he assaulted one of his Secret Service agents and tried to control the wheel to take them there? It was a lie. It was made up.
Well, interestingly enough, Julie Kelly's reporting that the person who was reporting this, Cassidy Hutchinson, purged herself. In fact, according to the Secret Service agent, the driver who supposedly was assaulted by Donald Trump, he said, we wanted to speak, to come to speak to the committee. As early as July, we made another request in August as well as September. And here we are November 7th, and they still haven't talked to him.
They made up a person lied committed perjury. The media ran with it and the committee that was allegedly investigating what actually happened simply ignored facts that didn't fit with their concerns, with their agenda, with their pre-created narrative. And after all that, we're supposed to believe anything. The news media says, I don't.
Like I said, I agree with Jefferson. Nothing can now be trusted when presented by that polluted institution. The way I put it, if the news media told me the sky was blue, I'd have to go out and check because I can't trust them anymore. They've proven, they've proven themselves to be untrustworthy.
And then we have, you know, well, why would people trust, you know, why would people go ahead and not listen to us? Why do they just, why do they listen to the lie rather than what we're telling you? Because you've lied to us so often. So these are just a couple of the scandals coming out of DC that, you know, why are we surprised? It's a new year must be time for more scandals.
out of coming out of Washington DC. And I want to stop. And I think this is a good time to stop and think about it. For two reasons. One, well, it's the new year. Maybe it's time we start holding our elected officials accountable for the criminal activity. They're funding. But also, I think it's important that we as Americans
Take this opportunity. We have a new president coming in. We have the department of government efficiency, which may or may not work and may or may not be effective. We'll have to wait and find out. This legislation ought to be as an excellent time to look at the, at these scandals, whether it's the wasteful spending, whether it's the fact that we don't, that the media isn't trustworthy anymore, that maybe the new year is a time to turn a lonely, a new leaf.
We have a new year, we have a new president, we have a new administration. Maybe it's time that we turn over a new leaf and say, maybe we should take a line from a good old Ronald Reagan. Maybe it's time to trust, but verify.
Okay, before I get into more DC scandals for the new year, let's, uh, let's head into a break. But before I go though, you know, my, my pastor was, I was talking to the other Sunday and he mentioned that it was last few nights. Welcome back every day Americans you rejoin the Constitution study today Well, we're looking at the new year and the scandals coming out of good old Washington DC A report came out from the Center for Immigration Studies that caught my attention of the headline to this Was a one fact out of the report that showed that the
The number of U.S. born working age men, other from age 16 to 64. The number that I've no longer in the labor force. These are not people that are unemployment and looking for work. These are people who have basically given up. It has increased by 13.2 million from 1960 to 2024. So that's, I mean, 64 years. That's quite a bit.
But what's interesting is the working age immigrant men in the labor force has increased by 14.1. So over the 64 years, the number of US born people men who are working is down and it's been replaced and surpassed by the number of immigrant men of working age.
And of course, that is, you know, that's the fiery rhetoric because of all the questions with the Southern border and immigration. People are focusing saying, oh, look at these. The, you know, the US-born men aren't working. Their jobs have been taken by immigrants. Okay. The question is not to me, this is a data point.
And the question is not, what it tells us, is that we're seeing more working men in the immigrant community than in the US community. The question should be, was it the immigrants that took the jobs from Americans, or did Americans walk away and immigrants fill the gap?
And that's important because I would say earlier in this study, right, back in the 1960s and 70s and 80s, you had the possibility of immigrants taking American jobs because they were willing to work for less.
However, since 2020, based on what I've seen, I think a lot more of Americans got a taste of, you know, working from home or not working and liked it and didn't want to go back into the workforce. And they were backfilled by immigrants. Now, I don't have any studies to prove this. This is my
understanding from what i've seen and what i've observed over this time and i i thought it was worth mentioning what i found really interesting though is although the title points out the um, the number of you know us born citizens being replaced by grants there's actually some other data that i found very interesting.
And it looked at the education of the U.S. men that were not in the labor force. Now again, back in the 1960s and 70s, if you had a high school diploma or less, or if you had taken some college but had not gotten a bachelor's degree, the numbers were fairly close to all education. There wasn't a dramatic difference.
Yes, if you had a bachelor's degree or more, the percentage of people out in the labor force was way down. But what's interesting is starting in the 1980s and 90s, we start seeing an interesting curve where the percentage of, again, US men, not in the labor force, seems to be a fairly constant increase until 2019, at which point it kind of leveled off and dropped off a bit.
Not all the curves leveled off and dropped off in 2019, but it was the separation between the high school or the no bachelor's degree and the median that caught my attention. And that's because again, I never got a college degree.
And I've always been able to have work whenever I wanted it. Right now I'm doing this, but I had a 30 year IT career where I was not only, not it was as successful, but I was, I was desired. People came looking for me to work for them. So I mean, that was fairly successful. So this again gets me thinking if we're looking at people who have given up on the, on the idea of work for whatever reason,
It seems to be the uneducated or the lesser educator, I should say, the ones with fewer degrees that have been most impacted. And of course, the why isn't in here. These are just statistics. But again, it caught my attention with this focus on you have to get a college degree that you may or may not use. There's a lot here.
But I find it very interesting that although the headline talks about immigrants replaced a job, most of the statistics I saw in the reports in the news were about the education levels, whether or not they were born here in the United States.
Now to go along with this, Donald Trump has released a 10 part plan. He says he wants to use to refocus schools on preparing children for careers rather than pushing inappropriate racial, sexual and political material. So here is Trump in his own words, giving the list of this 10 things he wants to do to improve our education system.
Here are 10 key ideas that will power our movement for great schools. First, we will respect the right of parents to control the education of their children. Second, we will empower parents and local school boards to hire and reward great principals and teachers, and also to fire the poor ones, the ones whose performance is unsatisfactory. They will be fired. Like on the apprentice, you're fired.
Third, we will ensure our classrooms are focused, not on political indoctrination, but on teaching the knowledge and skills needed to succeed. Reading, writing, math, science, arithmetic, and other truly useful subjects. Fourth, we will teach students to love their country, not to hate their country like they thought right now.
Fifth, we will support bringing back prayer to our schools. Sixth, we will achieve schools that are safe, secure, and drug free with immediate expulsion for any student who harms a teacher or another student. Seventh, we will give all parents the right to choose another school for their children if they want school choice.
Eighth, we will ensure students have access to project-based learning experiences inside the classroom to help train them for meaningful work outside the classroom. Ninth, we will strive to give all students access to internships and work experiences that can set them on a path
to their first job. They're going to be very, very successful. I want them to be more successful than Trump. Let them go out and be more successful. I will be the happiest person in the world. But we want our children to have a great life and be successful and tent.
We will ensure that all schools provide excellent jobs and career counseling so that high school and college students can get a head start on jobs and careers best suited to their God given talents. This is how we will ensure a great education for every American child. So that list sounds pretty good. I mean, I'm a quibble about some of the wording, but there's one serious problem to all of this.
The federal government doesn't have the legal authority to do any of this. Remember, regulating education is not a power delegated to the United States. Therefore, it's actually a crime for them to regulate education, to fund education. It's a criminal activity.
Now, as I'm listening to this and I'm following along and I'm going, wow, you know, I like these ideas except the federal government is not only not legally allowed, they're terrible at it. And then Trump said this.
And one other thing I'll be doing very early in the administration is closing up the Department of Education in Washington, D.C. and sending all education and education work and needs back to the states. We want them to run the education of our children because they'll do a much better job of it. You can't do worse. We spend more money per pupil by three times than any other nation. And yet we're absolutely at the bottom.
We're one of the worst. So you can't do worse. We're going to end education coming out of Washington, D.C. We're going to close it up. All those buildings all over the place. And you have people that in many cases hate our children. We're going to send it all back to the states. Thank you very much.
And that, ladies and gentlemen, is an agenda I can get behind. We need to shudder the Department of Education. Now, what's interesting is Donald Trump says we should shudder the Federal Department of Education because it's no good at his job. That may be true.
But in my mind, we should be shuttering the Department of Education because it is unconstitutional. It never legally was created because Congress... You have to remember, 10th Amendment, powers not delegated to United States are retained either to the states or to the people. So unless a power is specifically delegated to the United States, they don't have it.
And Congress, according to Article 1, Section A clause 18, the Necessary and Proper Clause, only has the power to make laws necessary and proper to put into action or in execution a foregoing powers, a power delegated to Congress or any other power vested in the government of the United States or any department or agency or office thereof. So Congress only has the power to create legislation
that puts them to affect in the execution, the powers delegated or vested in the United States. Since that does not include education, Congress had no legal authority to do this. Again, because our education system is so bad, most of the people didn't realize when back in what 1975, 76, when the Department of Education was created, most people didn't realize it was unconstitutional.
because it hadn't been taught the Constitution, especially the lawyers. The lawyers hadn't been taught this. It's not taught in law schools. So now we need to go back. It's the part of all this. The 10 ideas are great ideas. Like I said, they quibble a little bit about the details, but okay. But this, you know, getting rid of the Department of Education, that's the scandal we need to fix. The Department of Education has ruined our education system and we need to fix it.
And as if on cue, what do we have? We have a list here of things that academia, higher education, has called racist. And this is from a collection of articles, things put together by Professor Ibram Kendi. But I would just look at some of the things that have been declared racist by at least one college professor, something like that.
chemistry, classics, evolutionary biology, engineering, immunology, math, and generally STEM, or science, technology, and mathematics in general, all have been declared racist. Here are things that are considered racist actions. Accusing a black student of plagiarism, banning DEI,
being Asian, but romantically interested in white people course evaluations criticizing a black female reporter criticizing plagiarism marriage mentoring a black female congresswoman murder not pronouncing Kamala Harris's name correctly not voting for Kamala Harris the opioid crisis opposing DEI opposing oil and gas restrictions pollution questioning Kamala Harris's racial identity
romance, traditional grading, voter registration, voting for Trump, white people running in shorts and white people wrapping, all at some point have a been considered racist. And again, here's what our young people are being taught. Let's say you're looking for a career field. Well, you can't go into these fields cause they're racist counseling, ecological farming, education, dentistry, disaster response, geology, law enforcement, medicine, ocean studies, nursing, surgical oncology,
All those apparently is racist according to this higher education culture. And it goes on. Like I said, there's 103 items in this list of things that are considered racist. Now, the thing is they're not racist. What they are is things I don't like, which means I get to call them racist because
I'm woke. I'm a Marxist, whatever. But this is what our young people are being taught. You wonder why you send a young, a sane young person to a college university and they come out this strange weirdo that, you know, makes no sense whatsoever. That's because their heads are being taught this nonsense. And it's because our education system
is become detached from reality. It's its own little bubble that only exists inside of itself and nothing outside really matters. And if you decide to call something, you know, hey, plagiarism, stealing someone else's work, well, we'll just call it racism so you don't blame me because I happen to be a black person that did it.
Now, it's not just colleges and universities are promoting this nonsense. It's not just governments are promoting this nonsense. There are corporations that are taking the money you spend with them to promote this nonsense, but you don't have to pay them. So that's the beauty of a free market. It's the beauty of America. If a company is, is acting it away as detrimental to your rights, you can find a company that acts in a way that promotes your rights, like Patreon mobile.
Patreon Mobile is America's only Christian conservative wireless provider. And yes, they share our values. But first of all, you don't have to give up stuff. You don't have to give up great 4G and 5G nationwide coverage. You don't need to give up access to all the great networks. They're all the same as the major carriers. Even better, their customer support 100% U.S. base. So if you have a problem, you actually get to talk to a human being in this country and the service has been great.
Most of all, when you pay your bill, you know that part of that money is not going to support woke progressive Marxist causes. They're going to promote the sanctity of life, freedom of religion, freedom of speech, freedom of press. They support organizations like First Liberty, Turning Point USA, the Susan B. Anthony List, folds of honor, students for life in America, many, many more.
Now, if you want to join in, if you want to use your cell phone to help stand against the Marxist and help America be great again, or at least go back to being free again, simply go to patriotmobile.com slash constitution and find a plan that works for you. Check for discounts. They have them for NRA members, first responders, even families that have multiple lines. Best of all, if you use the code constitution to check out, you'll get free activation.
So again, go to patreon mobile.com slash constitution, find a plan that works for you. And don't forget to use the code constitution and check out to get free activation. Welcome back, Everyday Americans, to rejoin the Constitution study today. We're celebrating the new year by looking at some scandals. Now, many of them come out of the good old district of Columbia, although not all of them, and there are people fighting against them.
For example, Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton has filed a lawsuit against the NCAA, the National Collegiate of Athletics Association. And, you know, listen, sometime I haven't read the complaint yet. Some of Paxton's stuff has been pretty good. Some of it has been pretty awful.
But in a statement, he said something I thought was really interesting. He said that the NCAA is intentionally and knowingly jeopardizing the safety and well-being of women by deceptively changing women's competitions into coed competitions. When people watch a woman's volleyball game, for example, they expect to see women playing against other women, not biological males pretending to be something they are not. Radical gender theory has no place in college sports.
That to me was an interesting twist. I mean, I recognize the safety issue and the fairness of competition issue in transgenderism, but he brought up a point. If you watch college athletics and you're being told, you're watching a woman's volleyball game or woman's track and field or woman's swimming,
you expect to see women participating and only women participating. By putting males, I know 10 pounds of calls on biological males, they're men. By putting men into women's sports, they're not only jeopardizing the life, the safety of the women, but they're lying to the people who are sponsoring and supporting the colleges for their sports.
I mean, let's face it, if you donate money to your alma mater for their athletics program and they're telling you, we have women's baseball or women's softball and you find out, well, it's not actually women's, it's actually a coed softball. Well, that's kind of a bait and switch, isn't it? I just thought it was an interesting take on the argument.
No, it's when I saw the article in the Epic Times, and they requested a comment from the NCAA, and the spokesperson said they don't comment on pending litigation, but they said they will continue to promote Title IX, make unprecedented investments in women's sports and ensure fair competition in all NCAA championships. Well, let's see, that's three strikes, you're out. See, they don't promote Title IX, because Title IX says you can't discriminate based on sex, but that's exactly what they're doing.
They're saying, we're going to put a male with a biological advantage on a women's team and put them on par. That is a violation of Title IX. The whole idea behind Title IX was you had men's sports and you could have women's sports, so there would be fair competition. They make an unprecedented investment, not in women's sports, but in coed sports. They just call the women's sports.
And the idea of fair competition is laughable when you have male athletes that aren't even middle of the road in male competition that are breaking records repeatedly when they're competing against women, that is not fair competition. That ladies and gentlemen is a bald-faced lie. And I'm really kind of curious to see where this case goes. Now, staying on the transgender mantra,
I heard about this story, I had to go research it, it really, to me, it shows the stupid, the educated and in facility of the transgender movement. Now, the ACLU of the state of Washington has filed for a restraining order against the Washington Department of Corrections on behalf of Amber Kim, a dude that dresses like a woman.
All right, so this is a man, he was at the Monroe Correctional Facility, which is a men's prison. After, I think it was the three years, the department correction said, hey, Mr. Kim need to be held in the wisdom of the facility because, well, he thinks he's a girl. To me, I think he should be in the mental institution, but so they transferred him to the Washington Corrections Center for women. However,
In March of 24, Mr. Kim was found having sexual relations with his female cellmate. Based on that infraction of the rules for sexual conduct, he was sent back to Monroe Correctional that the man's prison.
And now we have the ACLU saying, how dare you put a man who thinks he's a woman, or at least says he thinks he's a woman in a man's prison. He should be in a woman's prison where he can have sex with the women. I mean, after all, that's what the, right? That's
That's the stupidity. Now, when I read the article, I'm actually reading a news release from the ACLU. Of course, they don't express it that way. They pretend they lie to you that Mr. Kim is actually a woman and it would be unfair to put a woman in a man's prison, except Mr. Kim is not a woman. Mr. Kim is a man with a woman's name. Maybe he dresses like a woman. I don't know.
But he's a man and he belongs in a man's prison and when they for some twisted Mentally incompetent reason put him in a women's prison. What did he do? He had sexual relations with a woman big surprise But you see this is what happens when you ignore reality for political correctness
This is what happens when we have an education system that rather than educating our young people and indoctrinates them and educates them into imbecility, to be stupid enough to look at a male with male genitalia with male chromosomes and say, no, that's a woman. That is a level of stupid.
I'm sorry, there's no other word for it. That is a level of stupid that I think, the fact that it's allowed to, that it continues to exist, that people put up with this stupid really concerns me.
You see, it reminds me of Bonhoeffer's theory of stupidity, where he writes, stupidity is a more dangerous enemy of the good than malice. One may protest against evil, it can be exposed, and if needed, be prevented by use of force. Evil always contains within itself the germ of its own subversion in that it leaves behind in human beings at least a sense of unease,
Against depidity, we are defenseless. Neither protest nor the use of force accomplished anything ear. Reasons fall on deaf ears, facts that contradict one's prejudgments simply need not be believed. In such moments, the stupid person even becomes critical, and when facts are irrefutable, they are just pushed aside as inconsequential, as incidental.
In all this, the stupid person in contrast to the malicious one is utterly self-satisfied and being easily irritated becomes dangerous by going on the attack. For that reason, greater cost is called for than with a malicious one. Never again will we try to persuade the stupid person with reasons for it is senseless and dangerous. And that, ladies and gentlemen, is what concerns me.
It's these people are stupid and through their self-aggrandizement, their self-wonder, they become dangerous. They will attack. They will fight. All the ACLU has done so far is filed for a restraining order. They want the court to order this man put on a woman's prison.
But is that the limit? Here, I've recorded videos before. I've shown you the videos of these transgender activists that threaten you if you say, no, a man cannot go in the ladies' restroom. They can get violent. It's one of the reasons why the fact that we let this festering evil grow merely makes it more and more dangerous. Is it because we're afraid of them? Maybe.
Is it more important because we think we're afraid of being called names?
That's why I think most of it comes from, we don't want to be called names. I've got an article coming out soon where I talk about the, uh, the case United States versus scamedi, uh, scamedi where, um, the, the Department of justice in a group are trying to overturn Tennessee's law prohibiting transgender treatments for minors. And, uh, in, in that they have a, a woman pretending to be a man who was one of the attorneys at oral arguments.
And while the court referred to this woman as mister, I refused and referred to her as Ms. was a strangio because that's the truth. She is a woman dressed up like a man. And in the English language, the proper title for a woman of unknown marital status is Ms. So that's how I referred to her. And people call I'm sure they're going to call me names where I'm evil. I'm gender I'm transphobic. You know, I've offended people. My goal is not to offend.
but to tell the truth. And if the truth offends you, then the problem is yours, not mine. And the transgender agenda is one of the scandals we're going to be dealing with, not just as we leave 2024, but into 2025. So as we come to the end of another year, another trip around the sun, stopping and sitter, are these scandals? Have we learned from them?
Are we going to fix them or at least work to fix them? Or are we going to continue to let the lunatics run the asylum? That really is the question. And this time of year is, to me, a good time of year to consider those things, to look back, to learn from our history. Both Asantiana said, those we refuse to learn from history are doomed to repeat it. Let's learn from our history. Let's look to the new year.
and see what lessons from the past can we use to make the new year better. Now, this new year, it's going to be probably just as crazy as 2024. I'm not expecting things to simply magically become commerce, smoother, more polite. But there are things I consider of what I will do. I'm working hard to not lie to you.
to point out the truth wherever I can and then to stick to it, even when society tells me I'm being mean.
I'm working for ways to, to provide you education, whether it's things like the miracle of America or other things. I'm still working on my power in the hands of the American people. And I think I'm going to take it online. So if you're interested, it's a, it's a great talk I've put together that shows, you know, the American people aren't helpless before government or before those who wish to take away our rights. We have.
power. We just need to realize it and realize how to use it. I, I describe it's like, you know, the, the, uh, Bruce Banner, uh, after he gets hit with the gamma rays, but before he gets mad and turns into the Hulk or, or Peter Parker, who, you know, after he's bit by the spider, but before he becomes Spiderman, the potential is there. We just need to learn how to use it. And that's what this is all about. And if you want to find out more, go to constitution, study.com slash power.
sign up for updates. As I said, I'm trying to do these in person, but I also am going to do them online and I'm really looking to find people that are interested because when I've done this before, I've spoken this talk a few times already and people have been really engaged. I think you'll like it.
I'm also looking to make this and tell the truth. How can I find the truth and express it to you and then give you the resources to show that what I'm saying is not the truth. I wanted to separate what is true with the facts and data that I'm bringing you from my opinions and interpretation. But when I'm giving you facts, I want to make sure that I can show you the facts that then I'm not making it up by myself.
These are the things that I work hard on. These are the things that I strive for. It's why when I look at the media, I can't trust what they say. I have to go and double check what's going on. It's why when I see a report that makes a statement about labor, can I go and back it up with something? What are we focusing on?
You know, I like to say I learned more about the Constitution and sat with Saturday morning cartoons than I did in 12 years of government run education. And that's not a brag that that really is to me a sad state of affairs. And I want to make sure I want to do all that I can to help the American people not be dependent on an education system that's broken and crumbling, but to find out for themselves how to defend and assert their rights.
I'm frequently asking, hey, Paul, what can I do to learn more? What do I do next? And my answer frequently is, well, it depends. Where are you in your study? What are your goals? So I set up a planning wizard on the Constitution study.
Just go to constitutionstate.com slash wizard. It asks for your name and email address and then answer a few questions. It's just a handful of questions. It's mostly when did you last read the Constitution? How difficult was it? What are your goals? And then the system will start generating emails to you, which is why I asked you email address. It'll send you emails with suggestions. Now the wizard is absolutely free. Many of the suggestions are absolutely free.
Yeah, it may suggest, hey, have you tried this book or maybe you want to consider this course, but a lot of it is absolutely free. And these are all tools to kind of figure out where you are and what the next steps are. And oh, by the way, I review each and every wizard that is used. You fill out that form, you answer those questions, I check them all. And if there's something in there that I would add to my recommendations, I'll email you directly with those details.
So if you want to figure out, you know, maybe it's 2025 and I want to take the next step, a good place to start is go to constitutions.com slash wizard, take the wizard and get some suggestions. If you don't take them, if you don't follow them, didn't cost you anything. But maybe it gave you some ideas. Hopefully one of those ideas.
is to come back here to join the Constitution study, maybe with friends and family. Every weekday at 4 p.m. Eastern time on America at Loud Talk Radio, heard in the iHeartRadio network.
Or maybe you'd rather gather around a podcast app and listen at your own time. Now the episodes go to podcast generally a day or two after they're heard on talk radio, but you can listen to your favorite app. But again, do me a favor, subscribe to the show, leave the episodes ratings and reviews, especially on Apple podcast. All of that helps the algorithm lift us up so that more and more people see this and more and more people find out about us and more and more people will join us.
You can find the links you need on the homepage at america.law.news. But there's something else you can do, and I really ask you to help, is to take those links and share them.
Whether it's an episode you find especially interesting or the show as a whole, share it by email, share it with friends and family, share it on social media, wherever you can, share it. You see, we talk about the blessings of liberty here, and we talk about how important they are and how much they enjoy us. We enjoy it, but what good are those blessings of liberty if you don't exercise that?
And one of the best ways to exercise some of those blessings is to share it with friends and family and spread those blessings of liberty from sea to shining sea.
