Welcome to The Alley on the Run Show. I'm your host, Allie Feller, and it's just us. It is solo episode time. These ask Allie episodes. I've been doing them for several years now, and it is where I sit down by myself and answer all of the questions that you submitted over on Instagram. If you want to follow along, I am Allie on the Run 1.
I don't think we need anything else. We're about to talk. I'm about to talk to myself for a while. So nothing further needed in this intro. Let's just jump right into the questions. I got so many and I'm going to try to answer as many as I can. So thanks to everyone for being here. Thanks for listening. I'm always blown away that people choose to listen to me talking to myself for an hour or more at a time. So I just think you're the greatest. I love you. I appreciate you. I hope we all get to hang out soon.
Let's get right into some of these questions. When I put the question box out on Instagram, I said, this will be the last Ask Ally episode of 2024, which first of all, subject to change.
Second, I think because I said that, a lot of the questions are very reflective. We are looking back. We are looking forward. A lot of questions about 2024 in review. A lot of questions about looking at 2025. I will save all of those.
because if you've been around for a bit, you know that I kick off every year with the state of the alley on the run show episode. I've been doing that since gosh, 2019, 2020, I'm not sure, but I've been doing those episodes for a long time. I love doing them. I say they hold me accountable, but usually I do forget about what I said on each episode until I go to record the following years. But anyway,
I'm going to skip all of the 2024 interview and goals for 2025. We'll save those for the first episode of the new year, which will be the state of the alley on the run show. After that, the most popular questions. Let's see.
A lot of questions about the Volvo, about that gorgeous XC90 I've been driving around. It's gone for now. They got it back. It's a loner. That was always the plan. That was not a surprise, but I am excited to keep having conversations with Volvo and hopefully get that sweet little loner back. So yeah, I'll keep you posted. It really is an awesome car. If you are in the market, I can't speak to the other Volvo models, but if you are looking for an awesome SUV for you,
If you have a family, I think it's a really great family car because it is an SUV with a third row and a big trunk and all kinds of fun features. So yeah, the XC90. Awesome car. I will own that car someday. Mark my words. A lot of Taylor Swift questions. As always, you know me. You know what I love to talk about.
And a lot of questions about dating. So what do I want to tell you about that? Probably that I will continue keeping that part of my life private. At least for a bit. Yeah. But the questions are really fun to read. So you can keep them coming. I'm just not going to answer them. I'm sorry. So let's get into the questions that I actually will answer starting with. Oh.
And I'm not prepared as usual. Your most embarrassing moment of all time. I've done a lot of stupid things and I've, you know, I've said things I've regretted. I've made jokes that didn't land or that came across not as I intended. The thing that comes to mind here though is when I was the editor of Dance Spirit Magazine,
We would have, I think we called them what lineup meetings every week where we would go through. We would do the next three issues of the print edition and we would go through every column, every section. Each editor would talk about their plans for their section. We would brainstorm the meetings. I never understood why people hate meetings because our meetings were so fun because we were all friends. We were all young women just having a blast at our jobs. And so I've always loved meetings.
Or at least I did then. Um, I still like them. I love hanging out with people coming up with ideas and executing. So we're in a meeting and I forget the context because that's not what's important, but I was speaking to my staff and I was reading something and I said, blah, blah, blah, blah.
See, blah, blah, blah. Now the word see, it is spelled S-E-G-U-E. I had no idea that is segue. I know the word segue. I mean, I live in New Hampshire, which I believe is where the actual segue was invented. And then I think the guy drove it off a cliff.
It's not good, but this is different. And so yeah, I just, I know what the word segue means in context, not the little scooter kind. I do sound smart and I didn't know that that was how it was spelled. I've also seen the word S-E-G-U-E written before and in my head,
Because when you read in your head, no one cares how you're pronouncing things, but I took what was in my head, set it out loud to my staff, said, sieg, they all laughed. I have still not lived it down. We have the occasional group text from that staff. And every now and then, someone will drop in the group text, the word sieg. And my best friend Michael brings it up often. So.
It's again. I say this all the time. It is good to have people who keep you humble You know I could have let the fact that I was a 25 year old editor in chief go to my head, but no no
I seagued. All right, let's segue into the next question. Oh, this is perfect. The next question is, who is your best friend? I have so many. I have categories of best friends. So my childhood best friend, Becky Barker, I have my, let's see.
If I say my best friend, I'm usually referring to my best friend, Michael. I always call her best friend, Michael. Yes, Michael is a girl, Michael and she, I hired her actually, it goes back further. And I've probably shared this before. I feel like I'm talking very fast and need to calm down. I was writing a story about dance teams and college dance teams. She was the captain of the BYU Cougarettes.
So I interviewed her. She was a source, and I thought she was going to be a boy. When I reached out to BYU and said, I want to interview your captain, they were like, great, here's Michael. And I was like, oh, I guess our captain's a guy. That's cool. Michael's a girl and a woman, and she's the best. And so, yeah, she was a source in the story. She stayed in touch. She got an internship at Dance Spirit and then got hired. So pro tip, hire your best friend.
She wasn't my best friend then, but we became best friends. And so yeah, she's got that top spot for sure. And then I have so many other people that I consider.
best friends, my cousin Jackie, Jess Movald. Wait, no, now I don't want to play this game because I don't want to leave anyone out. My mom is up there. So yeah, categories of best friends and confidence. And I'm very lucky that it's a, it's a large group. And it's very fun when your friends become friends with each other. That is the greatest.
What is one thing you must have in your pocket when you are announcing? I always have my phone and I always have chapstick and water and tea. Tea and water don't go in my pocket. My phone goes in my pocket, my chapstick goes in my fanny pack. But yeah, I would say chapstick is gonna be number one. All caps, how are you? I feel like we'll get to that. Maybe we'll sum that up at the end.
Okay, then these next questions, there's a whole bunch of weird ones in here that come from Barry Lewandowski, who is the very, I don't know if you'll listen to this, but I don't know your title, marketing director probably at Millennium Running. And I've gotten to work with him and he's just one of the most wonderful people I've ever worked with. So he submitted all kinds of strange questions. Let's answer them, shall we? And I like these because I bet you answer them in your head too, as we're going, which is fun.
If you had to eat a crayon, which color would you choose? Red, because in my head it's cherry flavored. Are you team PETA or team Gail? I don't know who they are. I'm inclined to say Twilight? No, that's Jacob and...
The other guy. Who are PETA and Gail? Should I Google it? PETA and Gail. The Hunger Games. Oh, I don't know. I mean, if we're just going off looks.
I like the one, now I gotta click through to see which is which. I can tell you visually which one I like. It's the hot one. Okay, I'm not gonna waste your time while I try to read this Entertainment Weekly article Hunger Games poll, Team Gale or Team PETA. I don't know, I like the hot one. He looks like is he a Hemsworth maybe? Okay, let's keep going.
What is the weirdest item that you keep by your bed? Oh, everything by my bed is weird because Annie sleeps in my bed every night that she's here and so she puts all kinds of weird stuff. Right now I think there is a masquerade mask on my nightstand which
It's fun. What else is there? There's all kinds of things. She makes these little, she calls them setups. They're in every room in the house. I'm not allowed to touch them. And yeah, but I do know there's a masquerade mask on my nightstand right now, and usually a lot of little cat figurines. But that's not me, that's her.
What fictional character do you have beef with? I'm gonna go Ariel from The Little Mermaid. That girl needs a real talking to. King Triton obviously had his hands full, but
to let Ariel go live on land at the end. I mean, the fact that she couldn't just like, okay, Ursula took your voice. Use a pen and paper. Like they had that back then. They had writing utensils. She could have written, dear Eric, blah, blah, blah, also kind of have beef with Eric. He heard this woman's voice once decides he's in love, frankly.
I guess I have beef with a lot of them, but you know who is awesome? Rapunzel. Rapunzel's a badass and she's my favorite. If you were a shoe, would you be the left or right foot? The right foot, obviously. Who wouldn't want to be right? What's your favorite dinosaur? I have always liked a brontosaurus. They always seemed really nice and gentle to me like they would want to snuggle at night.
What's the most embarrassing song on your phone right now? None. I am not embarrassed by the things that I like. I never will be. I don't have guilty pleasures. I am proud of the things that I enjoy. I'm not embarrassed by them. That being said, I think it would shock a lot of people to see just how hard I go for the lonely goat herd from the sound of music soundtrack.
That yodeling, wow, such a banger. That goes on all my running playlists. I love that song. I'm not embarrassed, but I love it. If you could attend any celebrity wedding, whose would it be? Now, I know you think I'm gonna say Taylor and Travis. And sure, that'd be fun. I'll go if I'm available. But really, I think my answer is,
The wedding of Glen Powell. And in this wedding, I'm there because he's marrying me. So of course I'm there, so yes. Glen Powell, Weds, local podcast host, Allie Feller. You're all invited. Thank you for your support. What's the one item you can't live without? Okay, item, obviously I was gonna say Annie and Ellie, but this is item, so I'm gonna go phone and chapstick. Pretty basic.
If you could make the ultimate sandwich, what would be on it? Let's go classic BLT with avocado and Chipotle mayo, but I don't wanna make it. I definitely don't wanna make it. I want someone else to make it and give it to me. If you had a pet parrot, what would you teach it to say? You got this, you're doing great. I love you and you look really pretty today.
What TV show would you want to be in? Which one would you not want to be in? I would want to be in Ted Lasso just to be around all those good wholesome vibes and all those gorgeous footballers. And I want to hang out with Keeley Jones and Rebecca.
What show would I not want to be in? Any reality show survivor of fear factor, fear factor. I would not want to be on fear factor. That's terrible. Where or how do you keep all of your metals and bibs from races? I'm looking for inspiration. Unfortunately, you're not going to find it here. My bibs are all in a gold sparkly box.
And I don't know where the box is, but it's somewhere. I always say I'm going to hang them. I have a gym in my house. And I always say, I'm going to hang all the bibs in the gym because I've seen people do that. I think didn't like Dorothy Biel mile posts do that back in the day. And I remember thinking that was inspiring all the bibs as wallpaper. My medals right now, I know that I'm missing a ton. I mean, there's somewhere in this house, but I have a bunch hanging in the closet in my office. I have medals and all of my credentials hanging, which the credentials all makes me happy because it's like, oh,
Look how far I've come. I have all access at the Akron Marathon. And yeah, the credentials make me happy. So I don't have good inspiration for where to hang those things. I'm sorry, minor in boxes and closets.
What is your favorite city you visited this year? You know, I'm trying to think if I went anywhere new this year, I went to Richmond that I had never been to Richmond before. That was really fun for the live show with Kira. But I'm going to go DC. Annie and I went to Washington DC last weekend to visit my cousin and her family and do a White House tour and go to the top of the Washington Monument. And I just love Washington DC. So we'll say DC tops the list and obviously New York and Boston.
Best truth or dare from 2024. Yeah, Kira DiMato and I, we do truth or dare at our live shows sometimes. I thought that the one I did was really funny at the Volvo show.
where Kira had to go on Instagram and on the most recent post that came up, she had to comment yikes. She obviously didn't do it or she took some liberties with it. But I did think that that was a funny thing to have to dare someone, especially someone who's so nice and sweet and positive. So, you know, the execution isn't, isn't what it's about, but I thought that that was a good dare.
Are you going to have Beck's gentry on the show to recap the great world race? Yeah, that just finished. I am guessing I haven't talked to her, but I'm assuming she will do her full recap on the podcast that she co-hosts with New York Roadrunners. So I've not asked Beck to come on the show. However, I had talked to Jenny Simpson after the New York City Marathon because she announced that was her last professional race. And so I talked to Jenny about recording and we were like, great, let's schedule it for
We're doing it on the Wednesday before Thanksgiving, so this coming week. And then she emails me and is like, oh, by the way, I'm going and doing this race. It was a last minute thing. So we'll have lots to chat about. And so when I reached out to schedule that with her, I didn't even know. I don't think she even knew she was doing the Great World Race. Great World Race World Marathon Challenge. Which one am I talking about?
You know. There's two of them. So yes, so I will be recording with Jenny, which I'm excited about. I always love chatting with Jenny. I obviously love Bex, too. So yeah, we'll talk about that. I have thoughts for Patreon.
How do you like your hair extensions? What is the maintenance like? Are they uncomfortable at all? Okay, one at a time. I love them. I love having the extensions. My hair, after so a lot of it fell out going through chemo, a lot of it fell out on the right side. I don't know why. I don't know if that has to do with the cold capping. I don't know if it has to do with just how my head is made. So the left side looked okay.
I lost a ton of hair on the right side. It was very obvious, very thin, and it just is growing back way slower.
Yeah, it's not even that I was feeling self-conscious. It was just kind of annoying and hard to do anything with. And so knowing that I had a bunch of events this fall, I was like, you know what? Maybe I'll get extensions, which I'd never had. And I immediately felt better. Like looking in the mirror, I felt like myself again. And I love having long hair. And I actually was liking having the shorter hair. The length was kind of cool. I liked it. And I think I might go back to it.
Just having fuller hair and feeling like I don't look like I am or ever was sick. That can do wonders. So that's been really nice in terms of the maintenance and their tapin extensions. So they're not obviously not permanent. But in terms of the maintenance,
One of the biggest day-to-day things is always blow drying them. So I don't wash my hair every day. I wash my hair probably once a week with the extensions. And by wash, I mean shampoo and condition. I do a lot of dry shampoo on the other days, but I don't like dry shampoo. It's kind of a mess. It gets white stuff everywhere. I don't like that.
Am I doing it wrong? Please advise, and I know you will because you're the best. So I'll do that. I'm supposed to be putting like oil at the bottom and to keep them looking healthy, and I'm also supposed to get a hair mask, which is some, I don't know, maybe that's like leave-in conditioner or something, which I've never used. I am
For all the ways in life that I might be a little high maintenance when it comes to like planning and being on time and organizing when it comes to My physical appearance very low maintenance and so I don't do any other things I'm supposed to do but I do make sure if I get sweaty or If they get wet from the shower that I'm blow drying them right away just to keep the tape
dry. For the most part they're not uncomfortable. I've had a few that have been uncomfortable and so I'll go into the salon and ask them to fix them. I went in already once to have them moved up and it was really cool because they said my hair is really growing but they had to move them up quite a bit to keep them right close to the scalp and so it's nice to know my hair is growing and it's coming in and I don't know how long I'll keep the extensions. I get them moved up again mid-December.
And yeah, I like having them. It's fun. I'm grateful I'm able to. Hair extensions, they're not cheap. They're not even affordable. And so this is where I will go back again and say, thank you so much to everyone who contributed to the GoFundMe that my friend Julia created last year when I first shared my breast cancer diagnosis. It has come so in handy for things like that, right? If I didn't have that, I would not have
I would not have treated myself to extensions, right? So those are the things where it's like, oh, no, that's what it's there for. It's to help me feel like myself. It's to have hair back on my head that I lost from treatment. And so truly, I hope you know that by donating and supporting and so many people did, I have not processed what that all even means. It's so, it's so much. It's so kind. It's so
helpful. And so yeah, so the hair extensions, that's an example of where that money has gone. And so thank you.
Yeah, as for being uncomfortable, one thing I don't love is that because of how the tape is, is that like, I have this long hair and I used to always love wearing my hair up in a high bun, like a big messy bun. That was always kind of my go-to. And because of how the tape is, I can't do that. If I do a ponytail, I have to keep it kind of parted and low. Very founding father, but it's fine. So, yeah, I like them. I love them, honestly. I love having them. I lost one. I wouldn't lose it, because I have it.
New York City Marathon weekend, when I woke up Monday morning, one of my extensions had fully come out. So I had to go right to the salon and have them put that back in. But you know, it's fine.
Will you do an episode on Disney races? I am not planning to. I've never been to a Disney race. I've never run a Disney race. I've not worked at Disney race. I have no connection to the Disney races, which is, you know, I just don't. So I don't think that I would, but I get asked that question a lot. So I don't know. You can try to convince me.
Pop tarts or toaster strudels. You're gonna hate this. I've never had a toaster strudel, but I love a pop tart. I used to love the chocolate pop tarts. Those were my go-to. I've never had like the strawberry or the cinnamon sugar, but the chocolate pop tarts should not surprise you that I love those growing up.
How do you keep your energy levels at 100% so often? How are you so superhuman? Let's scratch the second part of that. I'm not. Look, I share very honestly everything you see is what you get. There's no like, I'm not, I'm just a person. That being said, I'm not someone who tends to cry on Instagram stories. I don't film myself when I'm crying. I'm sure I have in the past, but,
I might talk about the low moments, but I'm not really showing them. And so yes, I have a lot of energy. I naturally have energy. When I work races, the first thing they ask when you get on site is do you want coffee? And when I tell people at 5 AM, no, I don't drink coffee. I don't even usually say that. I just say, no, thank you. And then usually they'll say, do you not drink coffee? I say, no, I don't drink coffee. To which the response is always like, wow, how? And I'm like, I have this much energy naturally. Can you imagine?
if I gave myself caffeine. I just don't think I need it. And so, yes, I have energy, I love what I do. I like to think that I put myself in a lot of places and situations that I'm happy to be in, and so that helps me have energy. But yeah, no, I get very tired. Right now, when it gets dark at 1.30pm, it's game over for me.
I lose all sense of productivity and motivation. And yeah, I don't like this time of year. So I'm not superhuman. None of us are. I am driven. I work for myself. I have to be. And yeah, I do naturally have energy for better or worse.
Favorite New York City restaurant? I'm gonna go Lilia in Brooklyn. Someone said in the picture that I posted that went with this Q&A, said, you look like Corey McGee in this photo and I cannot even tell you that that is the greatest compliment ever because I think Corey McGee is the most beautiful person on the planet. She is my female celebrity runner crush. I think she's just gorgeous. So whoever said that, if you were just saying it to butter me up, it worked. Thank you so much.
Which artists do you expect to be in your Spotify wrapped alongside Taylor Swift? I never even know if Taylor is going to make the top five. I know that's what I listen to the most, but I also have a six-year-old. And if you're a parent, you know those kids will hijack your Spotify and your Spotify wrapped will never be the same. Last year, I think my top song was Try Everything by Shakira from Zootopia.
So I will not be surprised if this year it is something from Alvin and the Chipmunks. We go very hard for the Chipettes in this house. So stay tuned. I don't know.
Are you going to be at the Boston Marathon 2025? Yes, of course. Do you watch Great British Bake Off? No, I do not. Do you like eggnog? I've never had it. Are you reading anything good right now? No, I'm not. I have what book have I brought with me on my last like 19 trips? It's right here.
Emily Henry Happy Place. I have that book. I have packed it on the last probably six trips I've been on. Haven't started it yet, but this week I plan to. So stick around. What Taylor Swift era best describes your 2024?
Um, I would say the first two thirds of the year we were in the tortured poets department heavily. And then I would say for this, uh, you know, or if we go to quarters Q three, can I say my reputation era? Or should I like chill a little and say my midnight Sarah, you get the vibe.
If you could have one pro runner pace you for a specific race, who and where would it be? Where, I don't know, maybe New York City or Boston or somewhere lovely, a pro runner pace me.
I mean, any of them will do a better job than I will. My gut reaction was to say Deslandin because she's a metronome. And so if we're talking pacing, who better than Des? I think it would be so fun to run alongside Dakota Popane because who runs happier than her.
Obviously Kira Damato is going to be up there because it's Kira and she's she is one of my closest friends. I also think that I would have a really great time running with Kira Goucher. I think we would have fun. All of them. Oh and throw Molly Cydal in there because she'll just crack jokes. So yeah, let's form a flying V. You got my girls. Let's have some fun.
What are you wearing while recording this episode? This isn't meant to be creepy. Okay, I am wearing, let's see, I have on like a gray Abercrombie sweatshirt.
A pair of Lulu Lemon Align Leggings. A pair of socks that the people at Peloton sent me. They sent me a three pack of socks this week. I don't know why. And a vest. Socks and like a really nice puffy vest. So I'm wearing those socks.
I'm wearing a barefoot dreams robe, my office. I'm having issues with the heating in my office. It's really cold. It's over the garage and it just does not get warm in this room. And propane is so expensive. So I am wearing a barefoot dreams robe that was a gift from my friends, Dee and Dana, after I got my, after I had my double mastectomy surgery. And then I have a really cozy
Blanket on top of me, the brand is Cozy Bliss. I don't even know where this blanket came from. I think I bought it to give to someone as a gift once and liked it so much that I kept it. Gifts are not my love language, giving or receiving. So that's what I'm wearing.
Have you watched Love Is Blind season seven? Thoughts? Yeah, worst season of Love Is Blind ever. It is going to be hard for me to want to watch the next season. I really, I did not like the people. I didn't like, I thought the editing was awful. I, these people know what they're doing now. It doesn't have that, well, charm was not the right word, but unpredictability maybe. The first few seasons were so good because it felt more legit, whereas now it's just,
Now it's just a game these people just want to get famous and be influencers and I just want them to fall in love So yeah, I thought this season was pretty rough I did not like it at all and I hear Hannah going Nick in my head all the time But I also don't think Nick was that great. I just wasn't rooting for anyone this season Have you seen twisters? I think I feel the same way about it that you do about Top Gun Maverick. I Half-watched twisters
I'll give it another shot. I do love me some Glen Powell. So I'll give it another shot. Who are a few people you would like to have on the podcast you have never been on? Katie Couric, Robin Roberts, Michelle Obama, A Thingmo, Cindy McLaughlin, LaVroni. That feels like a good list. Let's take a break.
This episode of The Alley on the Run Show is brought to you by New Balance. As I start recapping this year and looking forward to next year, it would be impossible to do any of that without talking from the bottom of my heart about New Balance.
New Balance and I have been working together for several years now and their support for me is completely unwavering. They have done so much to stand by me during the pandemic, during my toughest times, during times I was barely working and barely showing up for myself in this community.
New Balance has always been there. The team that I get to work with at New Balance, which includes Kristen, James, Summer, Sean, and so many more, they are the real humans behind this brand that I love. So yes, I can talk to you all day about how much I love New Balance the brand. I love their shoes. I run and walk exclusively in their shoes, and that is my choice. They are the shoes that I like the best for me.
When it comes to lifestyle shoes, it doesn't matter if I am going out and dressing up, which is rare, or I am in sweatpants and in something cozy, I've got new balances on my feet. Right now, I have been wearing the 740s nonstop. Those are like the classic, they call them the dad shoes. I pretty much have been living in my 740s. Whatever it is, I have new balance on my feet, pretty much all the time.
So yes, the brand is great. Yes, they make the apparel that I love. Yes, they sponsor the professional athletes that I love, like the aforementioned Corey McGee, Emma Coburn, Emily Sisson, Danny Jones. Hey, Meb Keflesky is working with New Balance now, so they've got a solid roster of people in their orbit. Gosh, femme kebble, Cindy McLaughlin, Laverne, Gabby Thomas,
So again, I could go on forever talking about New Balance's integrity and the people they support and the run clubs and crews that they stand behind. Mostly though, I want you to know that there are true people who work for this brand and who have been so good to me and I am forever grateful. I see New Balance doing awesome things at events and with crews and really getting out there and being on the ground with the people, with the community, and I just think
They're the best. So this is my unscripted off-the-cuff testimonial to tell you how much I love New Balance, how grateful I am to get to work with them, how much they have just leveled up when it comes to the events that we've done. We started doing live shows together, me and New Balance at the Run Center in New York City, and now we're at Carnegie Hall.
And that's all them. So thank you, New Balance, for being here for me. Thank you for making the very best shoes. Thank you for what you do for the running company, for the running company, for the running community. We're not even going to edit that. It's from the heart. Go to newbalance.com slash running and go get your hands on, what do I think you should get, the Supercomp trainer for everyday runs.
The 1080 V14, which people are absolutely loving. It's so soft and wonderful, soft and wonderful and clearly a shoe reviewer. I love walking in the Rebel lately, which is a choice that surprises me for some reason. I love the Rebel and a Sealeet for when you're racing. Check them out. Have fun. Longest sponsor read ever, maybe, but New Balance deserves it. Love you.
All right, back to the questions. How do you do it all with such a bright smile on all the time? I don't. Why do you think that? I smile a lot. I have a lot to smile about. I don't smile all the time. I just said I spent like nine months of this year living out the tortured poets department. I cried every day for probably a year straight. There have been some dark times in the past, almost two years.
So please don't think that I'm smiling all the time. Do I smile? Yes. Do I smile a lot? You bet. I am a happy person. I like to think I enjoy life as much as I can. And that aforementioned list of close friends and best friends, they will tell you that I do not smile all the time. I cry. I yell. I get upset or I get angry. I am as human as you are.
Yeah, I have a lot of reasons to smile. I love my daughter. I love my dog. I love my house. I love my job. I love you. And life is life. No one's smiling all the time.
How do you get past the fear of having a breast cancer recurrence? It is always on my mind and I hate it. Oh, so okay, it is never on my mind and I feel like it should be. And plenty to unpack there, but for whatever reason, recurrence in this phase of my life isn't something that I worry about or stress about. Please don't let that come to bite me in the butt, but I just tell myself that
I got through it. I did the treatment. I had the surgeries. There were no signs of disease. And so great. Let it be a blip. Let it be in the past. Let's move on. Let's move forward to the next step. I know.
that reality is different from that, but I think that's just where my head goes and it goes to a place of being on the other side and that in my case, my disease was not metastatic. It did not spread to my lymph nodes. We removed the yucky stuff and then we did chemotherapy and immunotherapy and now I'm doing hormone therapy, all of which are there to reduce the risk of recurrence.
Yeah, I probably should be afraid of it. But for some reason, my brain doesn't go to that place. But don't worry, it goes to a lot of other scary places. So, gay, we're all scared together. Just about different things. I just got deja vu.
What are your holy grail songs, the ones that help push you through and build hype? Okay, so I think it depends on if we're talking about running or just in general. So I think
When it comes to running, this is so cheesy, but I do love fight song. And when that comes on, I do get pretty worked up. If I need to just like scream, sing, walk in down the street and get some rage out, it's going to be who's afraid of little old me. I can do it with a broken heart is great. The bridge of the smallest man who ever lived is insane.
I Love Little Girl Gone by Chinchilla. That's another like one that gets me amped. McKenna Myler used that in a reel that she made after the Olympic marathon trials and ever since then I've been super obsessed with that song. So it kind of depends. It depends what I'm trying to get psyched up for. I mean love story, like it's a classic but Taylor Swift love story gets me amped.
I saw a video, I was at a wedding a couple weeks ago, and I am in the background dancing to love story, and you would think I'm in a mosh pit to Taylor Swift. But it's a good one, and it's a crowd pleaser. Best Thanksgiving dish, stuffing, gravy, rolls.
When are you fitting in workouts whenever I can? I think there's another question in here that I saw, so we'll get to that. Why did you stop interviewing amateur runners as much? Convenience. I love interviewing the everyday runner. Those episodes have such an impact, and I know that because I see the DMs and the messages, and so I do. I love those.
somehow, for some reason, those ones are harder for me to make come to life. I think with the professional athletes, I'm already following them, so I already know their story. Whereas with an everyday runner, usually someone will send me a pitch, like, hey, you should interview my friend so-and-so, or you should interview me, or whatever it is. And that is, it's just being introduced to a new person, right? And so it's learning their whole story, it's doing all the research, and I am down to do all that, that's the job.
But I think because in the past two years work has been a little scrappy I have done a lot and I hate this phrase but I've done a lot of what is it the lowest hanging fruit and Anything that can make my job a little easier and I know that's maybe not the best answer I don't even know if I should admit that but
That is the case, is that it just takes, it's more work, it takes more time for me to essentially meet someone new and learn their story and connect with them versus like, hey, Jenny Simpson, who I already know, and I don't like, with these professional runners, and I actually, in an episode that comes out this upcoming week, I recorded with Tiara Williams, who is a real talk with Ti, and she was talking sort of similarly about how
You get to a point in this industry and in this career where you don't need to do a ton of prep because you're following these athletes all year long. You're following their races. You're following them on social media. You're interviewing them from time to time. So it's not like, okay, I need to sit down. I mean, I used to block out, I think, an hour or two to prep for every episode.
And now I don't need to do that as much. Even with pro runners whose stories I may not know as much, I know how to talk pro running. I know how to talk about marathons and training. Whereas, yeah, so it's just, it's putting in the work and the effort to get to know someone, which I do genuinely love doing. I just have not prioritized it. So again,
Hit me up. Slide into the DMs. Let me know if you are missing the everyday runner episodes. Let me know and your feedback matters. I will do my best to bring some of those back. The episode with Kate Green really comes to mind. I hope you listened to that one. She talked amazingly about losing her brother to a drug overdose, an accidental overdose, and about leaning into running to help her cope with grief. And I mean,
My inbox, the day that episode came out was absolutely overflowing. So I definitely see firsthand the impact those conversations have. I also, everyone has a story. Everyone has a reason that they run. Most of these stories I think are pretty remarkable.
And it's a lot to sift through, desperately need help, and I'm not in a position to hire right now, but like someone to go through all of the messages and pitches I get and pick the ones that truly, truly, truly stand out. Because I also get a lot that are like, I get a lot of 50 state people. A lot of people who are like, hey, I'm on a quest to run half or a marathon in all 50 states, and I'm on number 32.
And that's awesome. That's great. And I'm not saying that like there's no shade there But what makes it really special what makes that really unique what makes it? You know, what do people need or want to hear?
So yeah, and what are we going to talk about for a full hour, you know? So it's figuring out which of the everyday runner stories have that sort of exceptional pull to them. And so yeah, I need to come up with a better system. I've had Google forums. I have a forum on my website that I think is currently broken.
Like my DMs are not the best place for that because things get really lost in there. I have recently found so many little pockets on Instagram of messages that I didn't even know existed. So it's hard to keep it streamlined. I mean, yeah, I need a better system and someone to help me vet all of these because you're all awesome and I would love to interview every single one of you. I think we'd have a lot of fun.
What is your favorite Taylor Swift song? Number one is long live. Number two is love story. Number three is all too well. 10 minute version, Taylor's version from the vault. And then the rest of my top 10 fluctuates a little bit, but I would say number four is probably you're on your own kid. Five, we'll go get away car. Not a question, but an observation you're looking happy and healthy. That's very kind. Thank you. The last couple months, I felt that.
Any tips for someone running their first marathon in April? First marathon, do not obsess about the time. First marathon is for the experience. The second marathon is for knowing what you're doing and getting better, getting faster, getting stronger, getting fitter, whatever that means. First marathon, just get out there and try to enjoy the experience without looking at your watch or caring too much about the time. I know that can be hard, but I stand by it.
What can we, the fans, be doing to help you along this journey? Thank you for asking. Being here, that's number one, and that's awesome. Number two is supporting the sponsors on the show. Anytime that you use a link, a discount code, Aliette, check out, that all matters so much, especially this time of year, as I'm having all of the conversations with the partners I work with about what we'll do in the upcoming year, and if they wanna renew, and if they're gonna come back on board,
I hate this time of year for that reason. It stresses me out. And so the more that they can see that you are enjoying their products, using the discount codes that it is worthwhile for them to keep advertising on the show, that's the biggest thing because that's
Ultimately, how I get paid. I don't work on commission. I don't get a cut of what you're buying, but they pay to advertise on the show. And so anything that these brands can see that shows that you are wearing new balance, using you can, wearing V-Ori, wearing gutter, using sidekick tools, buying volvos.
Using lagoon pillows at night, running the Eugene marathon, all of those things, they really matter and have an impact. So keep doing that. You know that I'm never going to over saturate you with ads and tell you to buy things. I'm really working with partners that I stand by and that stand by me.
Support them leaving ratings and reviews for the show on iTunes Apple podcast Spotify that helps making sure you're subscribed and that your auto downloads are on That's a thing Apple podcasts and iTunes turned off auto downloads a couple months ago like earlier this year And that can affect download numbers, which is annoying to see but fine
What else? Yeah, engaging with stuff. If you love an episode, share it on social media. Follow the people who are on the show and support them. Support these guests and make sure that they know that they are loved. You can follow me. Like things, comment on things. Genuinely just interacting, being here, coming to live shows. That stuff is all awesome. And those are great ways to support and help in terms of the work that I do.
What did Annie think of the White House? She liked that one of the we so we were doing a West Wing tour. And of course, it's me. It's my cousin. It's her husband. And between us, we have three little girls. Annie is six and their daughters are five and two. So
Of course, a million times before the tour. Does anyone need to go potty? Does anyone need to go potty? All right, let's make sure we go potty. And then we get in and we start the tour and right away. And he goes, I have to go potty. Which is fine. There's bathrooms in the West Wing. And so the...
We were told to just, they were like, just go over there. It's fine. And so Annie got to use the toilet in Madam Vice President's hallway. And the toilet had a gold handle and she thought that was great. So Annie loved that part about the White House. She was not impressed by the Rose Garden. She liked sitting on all the chairs and couches.
And yeah, she was really good. I asked a lot of questions. I really made that tour. I wanted to stay on that tour forever. And so all the kids were very good.
What's on your Christmas list? Okay, you know what I've been thinking is that this year, you know, things looked a little different Christmas last year. Things like very different Christmas this year. I will have Annie. I don't have her for Thanksgiving. She'll be with her dad. I do have her for Christmas Eve and Christmas this year. And then next year we'll rotate and
I was like, okay, it'll be like a nice chill morning at home with me and Annie and Ellie. And I was like, you know what I'm going to do that I've never done? And I should have been doing this for myself for years, because why not? Is I'm going to treat myself to a couple things and I'm going to wrap them. So it's not just her opening stuff on Christmas morning and Ellie.
I was like, maybe I'll get myself a few things to open. That could be fun. So I think I'm going to buy a couple Christmas presents for myself in terms of what's on my list. The number one thing on my list is a shop vac.
If anyone has connections at ShopVac, let me know. You know, not to get into the divorce of it all, but when it came to dividing personal property, you know, that's a lot. You go through your house and talk about who's getting what. And, you know, we actually, we didn't have too hard of a time doing that. We each had things that were important to us, but both wanted the ShopVac.
Like that was a thing. And it was fine. Like it worked out fine. There's no drama there at all. But so Annie's dad has the shop vac. And so I have been really wanting like a good shop vac so that I could vacuum my car every weekend. Adult hood is a little sad.
So maybe I'll find something better to put under the tree for myself, but I'm not I'm not a big like treat yourself kind of person. What I really want is a vacation. What I really want is a spa day and I'm not going to do any of those things for myself. I'm just going to keep living in my routine. So maybe a shop vac. I'll let you know.
Favorite holiday tradition? So my personal favorite tradition that's just for me, and I think those are important to have, is addressing holiday cards while watching cheesy holiday movies, drinking either hot chocolate or an apple cider mimosa, and having a fire going.
I am afraid of fire. I have someone coming to my house next week to teach me how to use my wood stove because I refuse to not have cozy fires just because there's not a man living in my house. I am a strong and capable woman. I learned how to use a generator. I can learn how to make a fire. But that's my favorite holiday tradition.
Best and worst parts of working for yourself specific to podcasting and the running industry. This could be its own episode. So the best part of working for myself is I get to have fun. I get to do what I want to do. I get to come up with ideas and try to execute on them. And I get to try things and I don't have to answer to anyone. And there's a lot of freedom.
which is awesome. And so I love that. Worst part about working for yourself is all the admin, all of the taxes, all of the P&Ls. Hate that. I hate QuickBooks. I hate QuickBooks. And I have to spend some time in QuickBooks this afternoon because I've got to do some invoicing. I don't like that part. I don't like, you know,
There's a lot to be said for working for a big company or even a smaller medium-sized company in terms of benefits, right? Health insurance, 401k matching, all of that stuff that I don't have. I mean, I have health insurance, but, and yeah. Also that I don't have sick days and I don't have paid vacation time. If I don't work, I don't get paid. And so I think a lot of people look at working for yourself as like, that must be so nice. You can take vacation every time.
And in theory, yeah, I'm not a good example of that because I don't do anything fun. That's not work. And so yeah, if you're going to take a vacation, you're getting the work in before and then after. And that's fine. That's the case for most people. But yeah, I guess just not having paid time off. If you work, you get paid. And if you don't work, you don't get paid.
And there's a big accountability piece, which I don't mind. If something goes wrong, it's on me. I would like to have a team. And I'm just not at a point right now where that's something I can invest in. But yeah, it would be nice to have a right-hand person just to brainstorm with or to have someone
to fix all the stuff that's broken on my website right now. Like my website's a disaster and I just, the company that I had create my website isn't doing that anymore so I need to find a new one and I wanna change all these things and I'm just, it's such a low priority. But it would be nice to just have someone to be like, hey, can you go fix all the broken links on my website? Perfect.
So yeah, it's learning to manage all of that and delegate and prioritize and we can't do it all and I don't do it all.
How do you manage getting your runs in while being a single mom and working full time? I mean, it ties back to that last question, right, where I do have flexibility. Let's not act like I have to be out of the house at a certain time to get to my job where I report to someone else. And so that in as many ways as that can be challenging, it's a huge privilege in that
So I usually get up on days that Annie is here, which are the best days. I get up before she's awake and I'll do 20 minutes of Peloton strength while I'm usually doing something else kind of multitasking.
And then, and I'm doing that in my jammies, like I'm, I'm doing arms and light weights. I'm not breaking a sweat. It's just a little bit. It's just enough to get me moving in the morning and then making her lunch, making her breakfast, getting everything ready for school, getting Ellie fed, letting Ellie out, helping any get ready.
Getting everyone out the door, usually Ellie comes with us for a drop-off, she loves riding along, and then I'll drop Annie off at school, and then when I come home, depends on the day, depends on my recording schedule, but I'm usually getting either a walk or a run-in, sometimes during the day, and then going about my day, eventually picking Annie up from school,
Doing something fun hanging out Two nights ago. We had a craft night last night We had a girls night where we went out to dinner with one of my mom friends and her daughters So depends on the night and then usually after she goes to bed I'll stay up for another Usually it's a couple hours that I'll stay up But I'll try to put in at least another hour of work when she goes to bed so I
I'm getting it in, but I'm not getting everything done. I go to bed every night wishing I had gotten more done, but here we are. Did sparks fly when you met Logan Aldridge in person? When I talk about the state of my direct messages,
I wish that you had all seen my inbox and the alley on the run Facebook group, the day of Logan Aldridge's episode. I will just say he is kind and wonderful and very charming. And we had a very nice time talking. And yes, I got to meet him briefly at the finish line of the New York City Marathon and congratulate him. And I'm so glad that you all enjoyed that episode.
What song got you through the year so far?
Yeah, I can do it with a broken heart was a really good one. And for a million reasons, uh, you know, don't harp too much on the broken heart piece of that. I would say it's more about going through life and putting on a happy face and showing up when you're dying inside. So yeah, that, I mean, I love that song and I love that it's a song that I can relate to so much, but that it's still poppy and upbeat. That feels like an alley song right there checks all the boxes.
Random, but I know you were a dancer. Did you do ballet? Did you do point? Yes. And yes, they were my least favorite. Point was fun, but I wasn't very good at it. And ballet, my turnout has always sucked and I don't have good arches. And so ballet was necessary because it is the foundation of all forms of dance. Technique is important, but yeah, I was known to skip out on ballet class to go to subway and get a meatball sub and eat it in my car. So
Weird that my technique didn't improve. Do guests get paid to be on the podcast or do they come on because they can or want to? They do not get paid. I do not pay them. Some, I know that some athletes in their contracts now, there are appearances as part of their contracts and podcasts might count toward that, but no, I do not pay guests to come on the podcast. After interviewing Gabby Thomas, will you get more sprinters on the show? I think that would be fun. Do you think that would be fun? Let me know.
On your smaller show destinations, why don't you just pick a place you want to go? People will come. Yeah, so on, I believe it was my New York City Marathon recap episode, right? I talked about wanting to get back to the, what was sort of the route in the core of the alley on the run show and doing some smaller events where I actually get to hang out with all of you and
I'm not just going backstage after because you can't do a meet and greet and take pictures after a show where there's 600 people in the audience will be there for nine days.
And I miss getting to talk to you and take pictures and chat and get to know you. And so I would like to do so that's in that episode. I mentioned wanting to do more of those episodes or more of those events and said, you know, I need to figure out which cities I might go to. So your suggestion that I just pick where I want to go and that people will come. I don't believe you.
So welcome to my brain. I am convinced that I need to go to cities on race weekends where things are already happening. Like, who's going to travel to go to a random podcast on a weekend that they're not in town? Like, my thought is that... I don't know. My brain. Yeah. It's not that I'm not confident. It's that I just am like, people have lives and people have stuff going on and people are busy.
How do you guys are all so nice? How do you keep giving so much goodness and joy to the world when it's dealt you crap? I take accountability for my role in the crappy parts of my life whenever necessary. And I'm going to keep giving goodness and joy because it's way more fun and that is who I am at my core. That is my default.
That is the person that I always have been and that I think I for a long time got away from in parts of my life. And so I am happy that you feel that because I think that's a great way to live.
A lot of compliments in here. Come live with me, everyone. You always dress so cute. How do you have time, favorite online sites? Okay, I don't understand the how do you have time part, because like I said, I don't even wash my hair more than once a week, and it doesn't take time. I mean, I have to get dressed in something, and like I told you right now, I'm wearing a robe, a blanket, leggings, and a sweatshirt, so nothing impressive here. But yeah, for live shows, I love to have outfits. I work from home, so it's a fun,
excuse to get a sparkly outfit and dress. So if we're speaking to so in terms of everyday wear, I mostly wear new balance. I wear a lot of Lulu lemon. I wear a lot of Viori. That's kind of my athleisure side of things.
When I'm getting dressed dressed, like hard pants or skirts, dresses, whatever, I shop a lot at Abercrombie. That's where I get a lot of my clothes. Probably most of my everyday clothes and a lot of my live show outfits have elements of Abercrombie. They do body suits well and I love a body suit.
brings me back to the limited two days where I thrived. So, okay, Abercrombie is a big one. A lot of my live show outfits are nadied Marabi. One of my dreams is for either nadied Marabi or Alice in Olivia. Those are my two favorite sparkly brands. That's where I get pretty much all of my live show stuff. The basics are Abercrombie. The rest is nadied Marabi or Alice in Olivia.
I have this fantasy where, like, the brand, Alice in Olivia or Nadee Morabi, they are my live show outfit sponsor, and we do custom live show outfits for these events. That's a dream of mine. Wouldn't that be so cool?
But right now, they make enough stuff that I love. Lately, I've been kind of into Good American. That's where the sparkly jeans from the Carnegie Hall show were from. So yeah, those are the go-tos. And honestly, I wear a lot of Target. A lot of Target.
Favorite, favorite Christmas movie? Do I have one? I love all of the cheesy ones. I have a highlight on my Instagram page called Holiday Cheese, and that's where I share my thoughts on holiday movies. So I'll be updating that soon. Holiday is the cute one. I don't know why. I mean, they're all so bad, but I love them. I'd have to think more on favorite holiday movie. Oh, maybe I'll make a bracket.
Do you get recognized in public a lot? It depends. At running events? Yeah. Day to day? No. I mean, yeah. Day to day I get recognized all the time because I live in a town with 12 people and we all know each other. So that's different then. Are you alley on the run? Yeah, it depends on the venue. It's fun when it happens. Always say hi. Always say hi. Unless I'm running for a bathroom or I'm crying.
White lights, white holiday lights or multicolored white lights. Do you have any vacations planned? No. If you had to start selling things on Etsy, what would you make? Either friendship bracelets or some sort of service where I will address your holiday cards for you. I don't want to do wedding invitations. I don't do calligraphy, but I have need enough handwriting that if you need something written well, I could do that for you. That would be fun.
But also, no, I couldn't even handle selling merch for Ali on the run stuff. You think I could handle an Etsy shop? Please. Biggest tips for owning and maintaining a home on your own? This is a good question. Do what you can do as much as you can. I have started a spreadsheet for the maintenance of the home. That's like,
On this day, every year, call this company to schedule the pool opening and closing. Or make sure that by x date, you have reached out to this plowing company to make sure you're on their plowing and mowing list. So yeah, there are certain things that I cannot and will not do at this house.
I have a decent amount of land. It's going to be a long time before I'm ever out learning how to use that mower and riding around mowing the lawn. That to me, that's the thing I will outsource. I ask a lot of questions. This summer, I went to the pool store every week to get my water tested and to ask a million questions about chemicals and just to understand and genuinely learn
How to maintain a pool and what to be looking for. I'm fortunate that my parents live in my town. My dad is here all the time helping me with stuff. My dad loves teaching me about homeowner things and earlier this week we were down in the basement where all the where the boiler is and the hot water heater and I had to feel all these different pipes and say which one felt hotter and I hate that stuff.
I would love to just outsource everything but financially that is unwise and so it's learning how to do things you might not want to do and you will learn how to do things that you think that you would never learn how to do. I was always very afraid of whatever a generator is and this winter we lost power so many times in so many ice storms and I felt so empowered by going getting gas filling it up in the little gas canister putting it in the
In the generator dragon the generator out into the driveway like I could run that generator by this winter I won't remember and I'll need a whole new crash course but learning how to do those things and truly being independent is really empowering but also Use your resources lean in ask for help I
Last winter, it was December, and there were still air conditioners in the window, and my neighbor came over, because he noticed, and he came over, and he took out two of them, and one of my best friends, Julia, sent her husband over to take out the others. People will help, and you have to be willing to ask for help, and there's no shame in that. And learn, learn as you go. I recently was taught the art of sprinkler system winterization.
And that is a thing that I have chosen to outsource because that's beyond my pay grade. So, yeah, it's a lot of work. I think it's fun. I like it. There are times it's stressful because I don't know what I'm doing or I'm like, why is this room freezing?
Yeah, I also think it's really important to build relationships with your local professionals. I have all these individuals now that I rely on to help me with things like my dad's electrician friend who came to the house last winter and taught me how to use my generator and taught me about the breaker system and I'm sure I'm botching this, but yeah.
Tap your resources, let people help. You got this. You've totally got this. It is so empowering to be able to do these things on your own. And don't be afraid of asking stupid questions. I ask stupid questions every single day. Who cares? You don't know what you don't know. What was your 2024 word of the year? Survival.
I always go back to integrity. I think especially when life can be challenging for whatever reason, it's so important to maintain your sense of self and integrity. I think that'll help get you to the other side. That doesn't mean you'll always get it right. It doesn't mean I always get it right. But I think if you try and if you have good intentions and if you're just, just keep trying to do the right thing, not always going to get it right, but try.
No question, just here to say, you're amazing. I've been following you since the ABS days. That's going to be so foreign to so many people. But when I first started blogging, I was dating a guy. And this was in New York City. And I didn't use his name. I used his initials, which were ABS. And so that's how I always referred to him. Because back then, every blogger had a cheeky name for her significant other. The fitnessista called her husband the pilot. Because guess what?
He was a pilot. So I just remember everyone having their little names and his was ABS with his initials and it didn't work out but he reached out to me after the New York City Marathon because he saw me on TV and sent me a really nice message and I thought that was really cool. So it's cool that you've been around since those days.
Let's end here with the final question, which is almost always, when are you adopting a cat? Okay, I feel like we're getting close. I, like everything in my life, I am such a hands-on and visual learner. I'm not someone who can watch a YouTube video and learn everything about whatever it is. I need to be, like, sit me down, talk to me, walk me through it.
I want someone to sit me down and walk me through, like in person, how to have a cat. Come to my house, tell me which room to put a litter box in. Tell me which litter box to get. I don't like the smell, so that's gonna be a whole thing. Just, I need someone to teach me and then I think I'll feel more ready to do this. Annie has been asking more than ever before.
At one point, I was like, it would be cute to obviously have that be for Christmas. But also, it's hard to find a kitten. And I don't even know. We want a kitten. She wants it to be a girl kitten. She is pretty specific. So again, if anyone's tapped in, I know up here in New Hampshire at all the local rescues, you have to have your name on a wait list forever to get a kitten.
So, um, and I'm not buying one. I'm not interested in breeding. Like I want, I do want to rescue a kitten that needs a home. So, oh my God, am I doing this? My mom's allergic. She's going to be pissed.
Okay, should we end there on that super uplifting note? So what do I need? I need insiders for home maintenance, for kittens, for what else did I say? Someone to teach me about PETA versus Gail. I believe that came up. So yeah, we have some follow-ups, but mostly I think we covered a lot of ground today. So let's wrap it up. Spotify wrapped.
Thank you so much for being here for this episode of The Alley on the Run Show. I love you. I appreciate you. Thank you to everyone who sent in questions. There were so many for this episode. I got to as many as I could. I appreciate you. Would we be interested? I keep saying I'm going to bring the newsletter back.
And I really need to figure that out because I do miss it. I love having that newsletter and having that platform where I can write. The day of the week, I was releasing it on Fridays when I started, and I was very consistent while I was marathon training. And so I would write it on Thursday, schedule it for Friday morning.
Now that's been tricky because of the way that my parenting schedule works out with Annie. It's hard to find that time on Thursdays to write the newsletter. So maybe I switched the day and maybe it comes out Monday morning and I do it over the weekend, but anyway.
Maybe there is an ask alley opportunity in the newsletter, where I answer a couple questions. It all feels self-indulgent to me, but then I do get a lot of messages from people who like these episodes, so I don't know. I don't ever know what I'm doing, but I work for myself, and that is a perk. You don't have to know what you're doing, you'll find your way.
I'll find my way. Truly, I appreciate you. Thank you for listening. Thank you for supporting the show. Thank you for asking fun questions. Thank you, New Balance, for your never-ending support. I hope it's never ending. Oh my gosh, don't let it end. I love you. And you've got this. You're doing great. Thank you for joining me on The Run.
